keep going baby!u are the star of Abissiniya!
you should hide urself. shame on u liya kebede. ethiopians do not have this crazy culture of showing their body like crazy people. please hide urself. do not poison our kids and culture. we have religion and moral.
What a beauty? Can I get a phone number?
One of the many secrets of beautiness in Ethiopian woman is, the older they get, the more beautiful and heavenly they become. I see the same kind of beauty in my own woman – and I thank God that I am an Ethiopian. Let’s protect ourselves!
How cane we appreciate some one out of culture and moral.
I think Ethiopian people living in America may forget something. Our culture, religion, and so on does not allow acting what she is doing. Liya kebede I think you better to stop opening ur respected body for public and pray you pray God to get bless from him. Do not wish to see model stuff in heaven, be conscious.
waw she is very hot. I wish she wasn’t married.
Proud to see your success and I wish you the best.
You must be ugly and jelous ! She sell her Beauty not her Body. If you know what I mean.
The other thing, Ethiopians are free people since the beginning of time. we are not Taliban or Sawdi Arabia type of people. we dont cover our face like Arabs or Others do. we are totaly different and we dont have a type of culture you are talking about. You must be some kind of Arab origin. Please just shut up !
I think you are a very un modern person living in a modern time. You should admire this young woman for her enoumous success in this extreamly competative profession. I guess your DOMA head don’t understand how good this girl is.
please let us express our talents . we ethiopians have many talents that supposed to be shown in the world .
so not only lia that she has to show her talent but we have to also pave the road for others .
Hate is a cancer “demsiss"!
What dose it take to admire or appreciate her for great achievement.
Please learn how to appreciate, thanks and so on.
Liya I am proud of you!!! Good job!!!
Congrats for her. We should just forgive the people hating on her since they just don’t know, stuck in the old times. Welcome to the 21st century.
Liya - Sorry I didn’t know you are married. I was begging for your number earlier. But I am still impressed by your success in your profession and your comitment to help millions of people who are un fortuniate. You go girl! In deed you are a beauty inside and out side. Good for you.
i’m happy for u but dome why can’t u do ethiopia culture fashion show rather than American or European. we have cultures and please don’t embarrass us.
I am a women and I am not against any success that a woman achieves. However, I am skeptic where women achieve success on this branch. I am living in Europe and I have seen a number of documentary films on this branch. In addition, I hope Lilly will think over about her success, please Lilly divert your life by other success (As your friends did from this branch), and go to Ethiopia to give your people (specially the oppressed women sisters and mothers you left behind).
let us not blame the girl for ignoring our culture. i think our culture is often a bottle neck that hinders our progress just guiding us live in the past. Other cultures have moved on. let us let it go at least part of it that is out of date. Personally, I congratulate her for being bold and taking a share through her talant and beauty.
keep it up Good Job
Liya welldone, I just couldnt understand how on earth some one can blame Liya for what she is doing, some of you guys here are born to criticise. Liya keep the god work up, u have got the support of your country ad people.
People shouls be allowed to pursue their career freely, Liya has opened the eyes of beautifull young ethiopians who would like to pursue her foot steps. Welldone and wish you all the best in everything you are doing.
I am not sure what is all about modelling apart from the fact that, I assume, it is intended to trigger some sort of lust in human mind.
And I have always been puzzled by the judges who sit right beneath the stage and give points where these “Models” do the walikng. I am really FARA (and choose to remain so) for not knowing what the “Cat Walk” is. But in my naked eye I see the so-called models walk like an injured Giraffe not a cat.
The naked truth about it is that a naked or half naked woman is more appealing or inciting than a woman who is covered with “Burqa” from head to toe. I can see some folks in this blog have gone as far as getting her phone number and wished if she wasn’t married. Their humour is understandable, but there is no doubt something inside of them seemed to have been stirred up. I believe there are fantasy maniac guys in here who saved this video of Liya and take “Quiet time". And they will be the first one to buy the magazine, regardless of the cost, and put it on their bedside and hitchike to the fantasy world and spend their “long nights".
We are living in a generation of moral degeneration where a woman’s naked body has become a means of amassing fortune thereby bombarding the mind with lethal fantasy. But there is always a price to pay for fantasy. Remember, it was the lust caused by a naked body of a woman that drove King David to plot and get his general killed in the front line of a battle. King David’s plan was successful and as a result he slept with the wife of his own unsuspecting general who was a victim of conspiracy perpetrated by the king to whom he was loyal. The bottom line is nakedness or partial nakedness causes lust and lust is dangerous and can lead to break up of family and even murder. There is nothing wrong with beauty. But when that beauty is used as a means to incite lust, it can cause an ugly disaster on peoples lives. For more on the effects of lust, I guess, one should read the bible.
