Ethiopia - World Renowned wedding dress designer Amsale Aberra interview with The Resident publication.
The Resident caught up with Amsale Aberra, the Ethiopian-born wedding dress designer with a flagship store on Madison Avenue who’s also ventured into eveningwear. One of her creations recently appeared on the season finale of “Grey’s Anatomy” – chosen by Sandra Oh’s finicky character for her nuptials. —Cotton Delo
Can you tell me how you got into designing wedding dresses?
AA: I started this business, really, after my wedding. It was 1985, and what I wanted was something simple and clean, and at that time, it was almost impossible to get something like that. There was a lot of beading and mermaid and puffed sleeves.
WOW she is beautiful.Good designer and I admir you Amsale. Good job

She is Our sister from Ethiopia. So back off,she is a pure ETHIOPIAN at heart. But if you behave, maybe she will make a dress for woizero konjo.

One more thing Buju tiger never be advice for lions. So that what you dealling with my little one.
You are also a living proof that, age is numbers and life style, most of all if the numbers go higher, it most likely means wiser and defiantly a blessing to be cherished.
The video does not show your entire collection and it deserves to be displayed as you could potentially have the Ethiopian market as well. The interview is a brief excerpt and hope that we will read the entire piece.
The present or future for your designing creativity hopefully will explore into making Ethiopian wedding costumes made of the traditional cotton, silk (as it is as well a part) and other fabrics, beads etc.). There were some very creative traditional clothes designers in the past, and people might contribute their names on this forum. They could be an inspiration for you as well.

Amsale is a very successful Ethiopian. Is she going to bring her Dress show( if she has one) to Addis Abeba? It would be nice for the Habesha setoch leserg kemis. Will she incorporate the traditional habesha kemis with the the modern wedding dress? More success in the future for Amsale
She is a great entrepreneur way to go. Ignorant what do you know about beauty. To you light skinned is beautiful. I like “Tayeme Assa Messaye”
