I am writing this because I believe Nazret.com does unpreccented service to Ethiopians of every political persuasions, and I would like that to continue. But some Ethiopians seem unable to comprhend that posting their point of view is a privledge,and they seem bent to degrade the very principle that Nazret.com upholds. Every one who chooses to be heard at least should have common decency. I have read at least two letters here above wishing death for the two prisoners who are portrayed in the article; letters like these, I think, emanate from people who are unable to rationalize concepts. Their inability of not thinking, however, could not be a license for them to throw insults at whomever they disagree with. One might not like what the prisoners stood for, and that is fine. But one should not not criminalize their thinking. When people or government start criminalizing ideas that happen to contradict theirs, Society will take a long path to intolerance and thought persecution. And no Ethiopian should wish another Ethiopian to die because he/she does not like the politics of the other. Many Ethiopians have died for scores of years because of what they believe in, and there should be an end to it. I know sometimes some provocative writings might squeeze through undetected, but please people at Nazret.com be more vigilant in the future. For some Ethiopians who reside in North America only Nazret.com allow us to voice our opinions. The two Ethiopian websites in U.S.A. cannot fathom that some people think independently of what prescribed by the know-it-all Ethiopian politicians here. Amazingly enough though these are the people who claim to bring democracy to Ethioppia.

What kind of Abetuta is it to inquire the freedom of 'conscience prisoners' by degrading one country's PM? Does it go hand in hand, saluting and soliciting to one"s authority at the same time?

If you want to play as a gelagaay or negotiator ask or beg the leader"s authority, patience and understanding..That is what you can do. If you have to present a case to some one to ask him a favor. Then you must betray - at least for few seconds - your self and ego, or enmity towards that person.

Some of us in this site are not at all tactical, leave alone diplomatic to facilitate the release of two Ethiopian 'political prisoners'. What ever they have done, i don't know since all polit prisoners are released they should be released. Logic and justice of a middle stander?

If these gus want to be martyrs so be it. #8 of their compatriots admitted that they have made mistakes and were partly to blame for the after election unrest.
