Addis Ababa city roads authority (AACRA) announced that construction of Gotera Interchange Roads- a flyovers and interchange squares project, is being speeded up, according to a report by Ethiopia's state-run news agency ENA.
About 37 percent of the project has already been finalized.
Authority General Manager, Engineer Fekade Haile was quoted by ENA that the interchange road that is being constructed by the Chinese Roads and Bridge Construction Company (CRBC) has an 8.1 kilometers length.
Engineer Fekade said that the interchange project involves overpasses connecting four major roads and a rail way.
At present an average of 90,000 vehicles pass through the Gotera interchange.
Efforts are being made to finalize the project, which was launched with 96.1 million Birr and is destined to be the first of its type road net work in Addis Ababa, Engineer Fekade told ENA.
This is a Woyane plot to distroy our people. This development takes peoples minds of the negative stuff. Ethioblog I dont want to here positive news!!!

accelerate on development nice one!! this is what TPLF/EPRDF should have done a decade ago. God is great!! Addis being the headquarter of many international organisations hmmmmm the name Gotera kinda boring.
i just can’t stop feeling sorry for ethipians who r being treated like a small child or house pet by the goverment of ethiopia…i bet u all think this one particular road in one small small area could reflect the development of ethiopia?..wake up/grow up all yo and start looking toward those that are starved..or toward those that are less privilaged first..it is time for the people to start acting when the goverment is always careless or when they always play child game of fooling the nation by small things like canddy, or cheap toys…at the end of the day what matters the most is,ethiopias income..so it is time for u to start building infrasructure, building dams(it might be a substitute for the port aswell), and u all should work toward food security…i usually charge $ for this kind of sugestions but there u go..u got it all for free and think of it as a favour from your neighboure next door
I cant wait to see it finalized.
Great news from home. Love it. Congratulations Ethiopians
smoke to cover woyane’s attrocities in Ogaden and other parts of ethiopia.
And above all to say woyane is in development work while the popular party CUD is in termoil.
Woyane wants to say we are better.
Nobody is going to be fooled people want freedom more than roads ….
[Azeb, “After 47 years as the biggest donor to the World Bank’s International Development Association (IDA), the United States will take a back seat to Britain in funding an organization whose efforts have helped build 8,500 miles of roads in Ethiopia” Source: The Washington Post
