I’m surprized cities such as San Jose, Ca Alexandria, VA and Silver Spring, MD where there are a large concentration of Ethiopian is not in your top ten list of US cities.

While the tiny town of Reston, Va out side Dulles airport is in the top ten!!

Go figure!

Beyonece’s tour to Ethiopia got more attention, and the stories of liberation Fronts are not even in the list!
Does this mean most Ethiopians need entertainment than politics?

This is a great analysis and well-done. Hey, I did not know for example there are many Ethiopians in egypt. Had it not been because of the regime Ethiopians would immensely have benefited from NZret.com.

My first stop is Nazret.com because it publishes all comments, good or bad. The usefulness of this website is that you can measure the sentiments of the silent majority while you hear the shril of the extremists. Wel done Nazret….but becareful of your right wing lier bloggers. Addis Ferengi was one of them.

Good to know who is accessing the web. I have to say since I have been assessing nazret.com. I am more knowledgeable and manage to keep up the latest news and keep up what is going on with Ethiopian people around the world. Shame it is Band in Ethiopia. May the New Year resolution should be for Ethiopians to access this web. (as it is not always about politics “well just about” ;)) Well-done nazret.com.

Have a great Christmas and a very happy new year to all

Good Job!

Happy New Year to you and all your fans and audience.

I am very surprised why Nazret.com is banned in Ethiopia. If there is justice and free press in our motherland, Nazret.com should be the first to be allowed to operate (accessed).

It is just a bad image for Ethiopia’s progress. The country seems to move in the right direction in the economic front, but its progress is clouded by the tight control on press. The best thing to do is open-up the press (especially the Internet) and allow free debate and information on the future of the motherland. Everyone benefits from responsible free speec and press. We should learn as we go. EPRDF would even have benefited from free press, to showoff its success stories.

Nazret.com has published many good stories about Ethiopia, which EPRDF itself fails to publish. Just like President Reagan said many years ago “Mr Gorbachov break the Berlin Wall"! The main slogan of the Ethiopian Diaspora in 2008 should be “Ato Meles break the wall curbing the free press". But, the Diaspora also should free itself from ignorance, hatred and narrow-minded and selfish politics. Let’s build our country together and liberate her from poverty, ignorance, backwardness and authoritarianism once and for all!

Let’s start the New Year with fresh thinking. Just like EPRDF (Meles) is learning from its mistakes let the Opposition (Ala Kinijit) also learn from its terrible mistakes of last year and be brave and wise to move forward and build a viable opposition. It will be good for our beautiful country, Mother Ethiopia.

Happy New Year to our Motherland and all its people inside and outside!
