Ethiopia - On this day in 2006 Ethiopian Warplanes Attack Somalia

Exactly one year ago today, Ethiopian warplanes attacked Somalia.
In a televised address Meles Zenawi, Prime Minister of Ethiopia, said

"Ethiopian defence forces were forced to enter into war to the protect the sovereignty of the nation and to blunt repeated attacks by Islamic courts terrorists and anti-Ethiopian elements they are supporting; Our defence forces will leave [Somalia] as soon as they end their mission"

Sheikh Hassan Derrow said on that day

"The enemy of Allah has started bombing our civilians,"

Have Your Say? What are the options for Ethiopia? Withdraw and leave a power vacuum or stay the course until peace keepers take over?

How come nobody wrote something here?Well,I feel sorry for the civilians but those Crazy Islamists waged Jihad on Ethiopia. They are the enemy of Allah themselves! It is not like they were nice on their side. But still war is not the answer for peace.I hope Ethiopian troops will leave by 2008.Somali people need to fix their own problems. They need to work hard to bring peace among them intead of waging Jihad on their neighbors.

Ethiopia must stay but on conditions. Ethiopia entered Somalia to defend its interests ie a peacefull Somalia is a peacefull Ethiopia. The Ethiopian govt must take the following actions as soons as possible.

1. Our soldiers life conditons must be improved so that they can perform their complicated tasks in a profesional and heigh dicplined manner.
2. Help the transitinal govt economically by what ever means. (Ethiopia’s engament in colaborating the international community concerning the somalia economy is very littel.) What every misery Somalia is in now can be connected with the presence of EThio. Our presence in somalia must not be seen wronglly after all the sacrifice our brothers and sisters have done.
3. Expose and stop shabians help to the insergents.
4. The humaniterian conditions in moqdisho must be improved.

5. Bring the govt to moqadisho.

It is not we who can say Somalia is a better place now than last year but only somalians.

Many somalians think siad bare is the worrest dictator and nobody in Somalia wants to live in a worse condition than the dictators time.

A peacefull somalia is a peacefull Ethiopia. Who knows may be next year there will be a concert by somalis young singers instead of throwin grinad gifts from eritrea to civilians.

:lalala::lalala:Comment-the quote of Meles is a reflection on how loyal black slaves use to talk to their white owners. Save your criticism, it was done on purpose.

Ethiopia cannot make the call if it should stay or leave. Meles is not in charge of his nations foreign policy, America is. America say go to war, Meles say “yezz mastha, sure thing.” Remember when Meles gave a deadline on when and how many Ethiopian troops he would withdraw? Well, after Meles made that comment, Jendai Frasier said publicly that Ethiopian troops should not be withdrawn from Somalia. Meles came to his senses and flip floped on his earlier statment and said his troops would stay put until African soldiers were trained and deployed. To shut Meles up, his masters gave him some bribe money for his services. As the bodies of Ethiopia’s dead sons were being stomped, set on fire, and draged in the streets of Somalia, Meles’s government did not bother to report the incident. Instead, the government’s media mouthpiece was declaring victory and celebrating the imaginary “peace” they claimed Somalia was in. Meles’s government was making such bold statments when the Somali puppet “government” only controlled less than 5% of Somalia. Meles is stuck between a rock and a hard place. I don’t blame him for wanting to resign after his term as PM expires. How can you say no to America when it feeds you, gives you your allowance, and treats you like its favorit child even when you misbehave and hurt your own brothers and sisters. Sadly, Ethiopia is becoming popular for adoptions. However, in the case of the Ethiopian government it is being spoiled and bought by America’s declining worthless dollar. Its dependance on America has reach a lethal stage where making America angery is considered suicide. Ask Meles, he has been thinking alot about suicide latley. Somalia should be left alone. The Islamic courts were able to do what no other group was capable of - bring peace and order. However, America’s anti-islamic/muslim feeling helped reestablish disorder. Let the Somalis have whatever type of government they choose. You wouldn’t want the Somalis or others deciding Ethiopia’s internal politics,do you? So treat your neighbor as you want to be treated.

Indeed 24th December, 2004, ICU and Eritrean forces where destroyed on this day and we {the Ethiopian} people had and have every right to safeguard our nation from the Jihadst and the Eritrean mercenaries. Today, most Somalis are enjoying their freedom thanks to the brave Ethiopian military who made scarifies for Ethiopians and Somalis.

We shall mark this day as the day in which Somalis welcomed us to their nation and continue to work with us for their own safety and security. It’s also the day we showed Eritrea and the entire world our patient should not be views as weakness. We showed everyone that we able to defend our nation and at the same time assist our neighbors such are Somalia.

We all should thank our hero soldiers who are keeping us safe.
Thank you, ET military, you rock our world. Thank in a million for you bravery!

It is not our business to clean their mess but it is our business to fix their jihad waging on us. Somali people need to clean their own mess! They need to grow up and bring stability for their own sake.I wish them all the best and good hope for better future in their country.

• Give a strict time table of six months within which time the UN or AU should replace our forces.
• Declare explicitly that Ethiopia is not responsible for what might follow in Somalia after the withdrawal of Ethiopian forces, and thus bring the world community before its responsibilities.
• Ethiopia should act unilaterally by withdrawing its forces on the above mentioned date even if adequate UN or AU forces are not present in Somalia.
• Do not give any importance what so ever to what shabia may say. They will start to beat the drum of victory in Somalia
• MZ, TPLF/woyane and the rubber stamp parliament should accept that they have made a gross mistake by assigning our soldiers to serve other people’s interests.

Ethiopia need to stay on course in Somalia, and we should not leave a power vacuum, by the same talking, Ethiopia should not be expected to scruffy its human and military assets while the impotent United Nation is idled, and its do nothing policy for somalia. The African Union forces as promised needs to be utilized and on their way to Somalia, so Ethiopian forces can be withdrawn. The Somalia issue should have been a matter to be handled by UN and the international community, however as we all know, the so called western nations does not react the same way they do to a none African problems & they always set Africa in the back burner. It is a protracted well set agenda of the super powers to keep Africa in a war footing at one another and therefore it is our responsibility to stay ahead of the white mans game.

Weather we like it or not, the Tplf regime is in a deep bloody quagmire. The situation is out of control. Tplf controlled army is bogged down in Somalia. Zenawi can not leave and at the same time he can not stay. But eventually the Tplf controlled army will leave Somalia humilated and the Somalis will take control of thier country once again. The UN is mapping out a road map for peacefull re-creation of Somalia which would greatly reduce Tplf’s meddeling in Somalia and that is why the frustrated Tplf regime is waging a propoganda war against the UN. The UN managed to start a contact between the so called TFG and the ICU for final negotiation. The UN has finnaly decided that Tplf is part of the big problem and not a solution. The Bush adminstration is debating weather to stop supporting the worthless warlord collection called TFG. This is a big blow to the mercenary Tplf regime. After sacrifaying in blood and treasure, Tplf didn’t get what it wanted. Rather it was a devastatig blow to Tplf’s image. Tplf created another darfur in Africa. It created a Somali nationalism which is good for the Somali people. As Zenawi rigthly admitted he miscalculated big time on Somalia.

AU and UN are faild to do their job. If UN and AU send enough troop to replace us, it will be good for us to leave somalia. But, some people think that our presence in somalia is obstacle to the political peace process is not true, because ICU’s excuse is not only ethiopian presence in somalia, but any foreign including AU and UN, but I think except eritrea. Anyway we have no choice, so
We have to stay and help the somalians until they become capable to secure their peace and stability. I wish’m good luck. And I like to say happy holidays to nazret.com and the people of ethiopia, eritrea, and somalia.

Ethiopia should withdraw once half of the AU force is deployed and that should happen within the next two months with the contributions from Burundi and Nigeria. Then, the AU has to take the lead in bringing the the TFG and the opposing groups in Somalia together for reconciliation. If they fail to reconcile it is their problem and nobody can do anything about it and we should leave them alone.

Time line: 1 year and 6 months ago.

*ICU defeated US funded warlords and for the first time secured southern Somalia.

*Peace at last for the 2.5 million citizens of Mogadishu.

*For the first time ADen Ade International airport was opened and Somalis all over the world arrived daily.

*Somalias biggest port in Mogadishu is opened and ships lined up to bring unload their cargos.

*Paranoid about a nation under Islamic rule, Bush ordered his African slave[the midget dictator in Addis] to wage war to distrupt the ICU gain.

*The midget in Addis sent 70 thousand poor Ethiopian children to fight the less than 10thousand ICU rag-tag forces[business men, Islamic student, doctors, teachers and many ordinary Somalis make up the ICU].

*American navy ships and air planes started bombing to help their Woyanne slaves.

*Ethiopia used its few aging warplness without success and when a young heroic Somali fighter shot down one and another heroic Somali severely damaged the other one, SOMALIS NEVER AGAIN SEEN AN AGING ETHIOPIAN BIRD WONDERING ON SOMALI SKIES.:)):)):))Woyanne midget cares its air planes more than the daily deaths of the poor kids from Ethiopia.

*After relentless American bombardments, the rag-tag ICU forces retreated letting the Ethiopian kids into Somalia for a party.

*The midget claims mission accomplished and will leave in 2 weeks. 1 Year later, 70thousand Woyanne led militia are in Mogadishu and few in Baidoa less than 2% of Somalia hiding few old factories and schools getting hammered with artilary and bombs daily.

*80% of Somalia under the heroic insurgents.

*The rogue American adminstration and their UN tool are calling a different abroach and for the first time condoleesa rice is calling the withdrawal of Woyanne led militia.

*Both the 1 million Mogadishu residents camped outside the city and those left behind are hoping and waiting the return of the ICU and a peacefull and prosperous Somalia.

*Woyanne thugs are defeated by a few rag-tag Somali fighters. This I hope will encourage true Ethiopians take arms and bring down this backward savages and locked them up in Mekele as the previous adminstration of Ethiopia did.

*The coming months expect more loud cries coming from the midget dictator in Addis and his few cheerleaders[former street beggers]as the heat from the heroic Somali insurgents and that Ethiopians getts stronger and deadlier.

GOD BLESS SOMALIA.
