1. Our soldiers life conditons must be improved so that they can perform their complicated tasks in a profesional and heigh dicplined manner.
2. Help the transitinal govt economically by what ever means. (Ethiopia's engament in colaborating the international community concerning the somalia economy is very littel.) What every misery Somalia is in now can be connected with the presence of EThio. Our presence in somalia must not be seen wronglly after all the sacrifice our brothers and sisters have done.
3. Expose and stop shabians help to the insergents.
4. The humaniterian conditions in moqdisho must be improved.

5. Bring the govt to moqadisho.

It is not we who can say Somalia is a better place now than last year but only somalians.

• Give a strict time table of six months within which time the UN or AU should replace our forces.
• Declare explicitly that Ethiopia is not responsible for what might follow in Somalia after the withdrawal of Ethiopian forces, and thus bring the world community before its responsibilities.
• Ethiopia should act unilaterally by withdrawing its forces on the above mentioned date even if adequate UN or AU forces are not present in Somalia.
• Do not give any importance what so ever to what shabia may say. They will start to beat the drum of victory in Somalia
• MZ, TPLF/woyane and the rubber stamp parliament should accept that they have made a gross mistake by assigning our soldiers to serve other people’s interests.

Ethiopia need to stay on course in Somalia, and we should not leave a power vacuum, by the same talking, Ethiopia should not be expected to scruffy its human and military assets while the impotent United Nation is idled, and its do nothing policy for somalia. The African Union forces as promised needs to be utilized and on their way to Somalia, so Ethiopian forces can be withdrawn. The Somalia issue should have been a matter to be handled by UN and the international community, however as we all know, the so called western nations does not react the same way they do to a none African problems & they always set Africa in the back burner. It is a protracted well set agenda of the super powers to keep Africa in a war footing at one another and therefore it is our responsibility to stay ahead of the white mans game.

Weather we like it or not, the Tplf regime is in a deep bloody quagmire. The situation is out of control. Tplf controlled army is bogged down in Somalia. Zenawi can not leave and at the same time he can not stay. But eventually the Tplf controlled army will leave Somalia humilated and the Somalis will take control of thier country once again. The UN is mapping out a road map for peacefull re-creation of Somalia which would greatly reduce Tplf's meddeling in Somalia and that is why the frustrated Tplf regime is waging a propoganda war against the UN. The UN managed to start a contact between the so called TFG and the ICU for final negotiation. The UN has finnaly decided that Tplf is part of the big problem and not a solution. The Bush adminstration is debating weather to stop supporting the worthless warlord collection called TFG. This is a big blow to the mercenary Tplf regime. After sacrifaying in blood and treasure, Tplf didn't get what it wanted. Rather it was a devastatig blow to Tplf's image. Tplf created another darfur in Africa. It created a Somali nationalism which is good for the Somali people. As Zenawi rigthly admitted he miscalculated big time on Somalia.

AU and UN are faild to do their job. If UN and AU send enough troop to replace us, it will be good for us to leave somalia. But, some people think that our presence in somalia is obstacle to the political peace process is not true, because ICU's excuse is not only ethiopian presence in somalia, but any foreign including AU and UN, but I think except eritrea. Ethiopia should withdraw once half of the AU force is deployed and that should happen within the next two months with the contributions from Burundi and Nigeria. Then, the AU has to take the lead in bringing the the TFG and the opposing groups in Somalia together for reconciliation. If they fail to reconcile it is their problem and nobody can do anything about it and we should leave them alone.
