There is a Somali saying "Af-Dabooland Waa Dahab" which roughly translates, "A quiet mouth is GOLD". Before she even become prime minister, this woman bragged about how she disliked about Muslim groups simply to get outside support. She declared war on the Muslim groups and she become the first victim. This could even be the work of Musharaf the dictator. Only Allah knows who is behind this ugly action. ALLa Ya Rahma.

End of the road for a corrupt ruthless dictator.
Her husband used to force major companies to issue him shares throught her reign and was an organised mafia

No sympathy for her,She before hand killed her own brother for power, Now the head of the Mafia family is gone.

It is a very confusing issue. Is the Pakistani Intelligence involved? It is realy not clear. Everybody will try to spin it to its own advantage. What is certain is that Pakistan is indeed in turmoil. Given the existance of Nukes in the region, it is really scary. What would be the ramification for democratic struggles all over the world in general and Ethiopia in particular? lets discuss this.

It is very sad NEWS! What makes the story more tragic is the killing of a person with big idea by programmed non-human creature. It is not good to pay like that. If you can be killed easily by your enemy, it means you have already made yourself and your idea worthless. If you have a big idea and big objective your enemy should not easily target you like that. Ms. Bhutto faced death just like an ordinary soldier, what is the use? It is a now great victory for her enemies. This was not bravery, it was a foolish loss! The one who can not save himself is not a leader. She came from exile to die. It is very sad to lose a young, educated and beautiful lady. It is a shame that her supporters were unable to protect her.

I have no doubt, Mrs. Bhuto today was sacrificed to modernize and democratize her country. After all, not extremists and power thirsty juntas but the people of Pakistan to whom she was sacrificed would steer the fates and destinations of their country in the right direction. These lawful an just people will take the lot of their country in their hands. Extremists haven't decided the destiny of India, a neighbor and sister country of Ghandi, neither will they decide Pakistan's. It is a pity, that in history the smartest leaders and treasured icons always loved by all, unfortunately fail as the softest targets by the wicked villains. I wish to comfort the citizenry of Mrs Bhuto, who are brokenhearted at this time. I encourage them to raise her banner from the ground where she failed in Rawalpindi. She did die to you - while campaigning,
I am mad about the growing number of world army of bought poor people who will extinguish their life just like useless firewood, as a tool of the most evil thoughts you can not think of in your wildest, weirdest dream.

Keep the memories of Bhuto glowing!

The only people who commit this kind of offense are the people who afraid to confront her in the civilized manner. She is a winner now than ever, a few months ago I had the chance to listen her interview on CNN with Wolf Blitzer, and I remember her response she is strong women and she didn’t show any kind of fear… God bless her she is greatly missed. Why don’t this people challenge her on the bullet box by putting their idea to the people of Pakistan? She paid the maximum price for her believe….

This a very sad news. The first assination of the ex-prime minister failed almost two months ago. And Her assissination today tells us how much that country is slipped from the grip of the government. Or is the ruling party involved in it? Well let us leave this to the test of time.

So what do we need to do in our region? We need to prevent the growing extermism and fanaticism. This why I don't want to accuse our goverment for its invesion of Somalia totally. There was a threat that could be as bad as what we witnessed today in Pakistan.
Thanks for the brave Ethiopian solidiers who are paying in blood and flesh for the security of the country.

Truly, it is sad news to hear when any person dies natural death, killed, murdered or assassinated. In this case, I was shocked to hear Bhuttos’ assassination. Today Pakistan lost a prized political champion.
I would like to remind those in this blog who kept saying, “May God rest her soul or Rest in peace”. One thing is for sure, if a person is not a believer and dies, the next time he/she wakes up, he/she will find himself/herself in hell. The time will come when every one of us face the final judgment in front of Christ. It is not the good works that will take us to heaven, on the contrary, it is our believe in Christ Jesus. The judgment is according to what we did in our given life time on this earth.

DIRTY HAND OF A DICTATOR ON HOPE OF DEMOCRACY

The great states woman of Pakistan died on the hand of a killer. She has been hope of democracy not only to Pakistan but to muslim world and the rest of humanity.

She followed her fathers dream who was killed by a dictator years ago.

Harvard and oxford educated Butto was determed to bring democracy to her beloved country.

WHO IS THE KILLER MUSHARA OR ATERRORIST

The military dictator of south est asia and self appointed terrorzim fighter and washington ally Mushara has been a major suspect.

Melese on the horn of Africa is immitating Mushara to get American and western aid to run his military.

Mushara can put down democratic movement for now he can prolong his military leadership but the pblic will rise up.

Unless he act now to change to better leadershop his future will be not diffirent than Butto.

It is sad to see savagery and primitive mentality to highjack the very civilization human beings attained through the great strides in Science and Technology. Mrs Bhutto was struggling to bring about the kind of democracy the civilized nations are enjoying to her beloved people and nation of Pakistan. Alas, simple mind prevailed to disrupt and bring about a temporary set back to peace loving people of Pakistan who dearly wanted democratic governance and civilized way of life for themselves.
I hope the Pakistani people will stay in course in their march towards democracy, the rule of law, and civilized code of life.

Was that unexpected in a society where violence dominates all aspects of life? Even family violence is becoming a very clear characteristic of the Pakistani communities everywhere. In Toronto, Canada, a father killed his daughter two weeks ago because she did not put a head-scurf. Therefore, it is a society which God created by mistake. We should not give any entry visa to any Pakistani to our country, including their diplomats. Violence is in their blood; with politics and outside it. Nothing good comes out from that society.

Sad story but not really surprising as there are hundreds of innocents losing their lives in such mysterious way.

Pakistan was safer and more stable before the General came to power through coup . Today independent judges were sacked, media silenced thousands channeled to prison under emergency law.

So much notorious the General dictator is, US brokered a power share between the Musharaf and Bhuto power share, all this behind a closed door, not by the will of the Pakistani mass.

Yes, sad story but she is only part of hundreds or thousands if not millions of victims who are suffering under the so called war of `terror` on `terror`. It is hard to imagine who is behind this heinous crime as all the West and East are not hesitating to commit such crimes for their specific interest.

They say let us take action against the terrorists, but their target to be their political opponents and their action to be worse terror! The war of terror on terror is making this world more dangerous and by day we hear new developments.Perhaps, hundreds or thousands of innocents would pay the price for this heinous crime, only to create another thousands to avenge. How one would expect the world to be safer, then?

I love this comment. Someone should tell this to the ever-meddling American government!!

I am kind of confused is Bhuto Ghandi's daughter? Either way, it is a sad story. May they all rest in peace. HEY GIRL I LIKE YOUR NAME .WHATS UP? about your qn just google . Bhuto is from Pakistan and Ghandi's are from india , although they used to be the same country 50+ years ago before the devil work of colonizers like england. Its kind of India -ethiopia, pakistan -eritrea.

For those of you who are asking why we have to worry about Pakistan since the average Pakistani don't know about Ethiopia. Think again! You might not know about it but what ever happen there will affect us one way or another!

The world is getting smaller every day. Any problem in democracy, nuclear bomb or major health issue there will have a domino effect to our part of the world whether we like it or not. We can’t turn a blind eye to the situation there!

Besides, the average Ethiopian doesn’t know about Pakistan either so we are even!

God bless those innocent souls killed with Bhutto. well, she was encouraged and pushed by the west to go back after the west losing fate in Musharraf's ally war on terror. when her dad(ex PM) was killed by military she was elected twice and sacked twice by two presidents because of numerous corruptions and money laundering charges until recently when all charges dropped because she corporate with the west. General Musharraf plays double card, it's like 'no criminal no police' though police and criminals are enemies but they need each other. same applies to Egypt gets billions in aid for so called 'bridge between Arabs and Israel' if Palestine problem finish then Egypt job finish. what about Saudi royals survival depending on the expansion of conservative Islam, hundreds of madrasa(extreme) schools open everyday around the world including in Pakistan sponsored by Saudis, who is sponsoring the Sunni militias in Iraq? the irony is all these sheiks, kings, are whisky drinkers and womanizers. i think Musharraf is behind the killing, he knows the west is trying to get rid of him slowly after encouraging him to take off his uniform. the west worry about a lot more than war on terror, Pakistan is nuclear power. the Saudi aslo sent their man ex PM called Nawaz Sheriff from exile.

bezu,
I agree 100% with you that I don't know any Pakistani would give a damn shit about Ethiopia if something happen in our country. All is politics.
Second, I don't believe that we ever get peace on earth as long as the religion ISLAM exist. They have nothing else to do other than to create terror and misery on the earth. They might be some good muslims, but at the end they read the same Quran and fanatic messages for the destruction of mankind. You like it or not that's the reality in the world.
Even look at the situation in Ethiopia what we have to deal with islamist fundamentalist. They never put their sword to place unless they kill all non-muslim.

Bhutto is a true Islam ~ she knew the risks but she decided to fight bravely. This is clearly a work of the fat pigs in the Pakistani Military and the Fundamentalists.

Yahye  ~ you are one barbaric animal. You came to America because of those barbaric and anti-peace Islamist. You will never have the freedom in most Muslim countries that you are afforded in the US to speak freely today. However, you are still in the darkness and you don’t want this freedom other Muslims to have. I believe that majority of Muslims are decent peace loving people. It’s a shame that you believe that Sharia Law is the best thing for a Muslim country – then go back to these countries where there is honor killing of women for making their own choice. You can go and entertain yourself watching decapitation, amputation in public in the name of Allah is a sport. It sad that there is NOTHING in the Quran to support such evil acts. You should be ashamed of yourself. By the way, even Somalia doesn’t have a place to people like you anymore.

May Mrs. Bhuto rest in peace and God bless her soul.

Condolence to her family and her supporters, and specially the Pakistanis who had faith in her and some even lost lives and health.
-----------
It is a difficult situation. She wanted more security, and could have sent televised speeches, and infact they considered sending taped ones to the public in place of live rally.

As popular as she was and welcomed back recently to Pakistan, and leading a head of the up coming January 8 election a head of Sharif, followed by Mousharif, she must have been a threat to....?

What beats me is, knowing the politics of that area and the threat and specially having lost her father and two brothers, it would have been better to have servived for the Pakistani people who support her, than be so exposed in rallys with out tight security. This is some thing to think about, but in her case, the force with in her was larger than that, and as if she was determined to take it to the end.

For the sake of the people, I wish leaders like this find any preventive means to live longer.

May God give comfort to her husband and three children.

sad news, she was such a highly educated and experienced politician, she paid sacrifice to her belief. A brave leader, coward CUD leaders need to learn lesson from the birth, life and death of Benazir Bhutto. They could learn the abcd of politics reading her biography which will be out for sale after some time. Benazir Bhutto has combined her acedemic training with her political goals, and has been the mover and shaker of pakistani politics for decades. Birtukan medekssa the political idiot must read about this great woman Mrs Bhutto. Charisma, intelligence, tolerance, firm stand, and convincing skills were some of her best qualities. Hope to see such woman leaders in Ethiopia. Birtukan medikssa might need to be recycled in a modern way to take her political career in the right manner. The world need to train and empower our girls to help them take the highest responsibility in regional and global politics. Benazir was a great leader, she went out rallying despite the death threat, let her soul rest in peace

In the case of the assassination of this great democrat woman I wept like I lost my relative. For those who enjoy appreciating her death in this forum and if I were the FBI I would legally collect U for an interrogation, because Ur remarks indicate U are part of that killer system I condemn U and Ur System. this mean for us as an Ethiopians in our struggle to bring true democracy?
I believe that if we all fallow her foot steps and fight courageously like her,
God willing, we the Ethiopians shall have a true democracy in the near future.

Mrs. Bhutto, you are our Hero. Your legacy shall live

Ask yourself why the American (Western world)leaders are not assassinated?

A. Because Western have term limit in case of USA.

B. Because Western have masterd the art of power sharing... (Cud would not have refused if they know entering Parliment means having a real power sharing.

C.Because Western have very educated mass and working class who have something to lose if they go out day and day in and protest insted of working (soultion reduce homelessnes and unempolyement and you have no one to go out and protest and lose money)

D. Because Western have good system of election

F. Because Western are more civilized society, then US

Whatz going on?? you guys brain washed by western medias. Pakistan developed more under military rule, besides only military can handle the Islamists rising. Bhutto used to support Taliban, many of her rivals including members of her family disappeared suspiciously, she was corrupt, billions of dollars in a foreign banks, her husband was in jail because of money laundering, she self exiled to Dubai, recently her frozen account in swizz bank released after she made a deal with the west, yes she was highly educated but if one has no heart[conscience] academic education alone make little difference. we all need democracy, the majority voice need to be respected, however in a country like Pakistan illiteracy rate as high as ours, and Islamic extremism fundamentalism on rise, they need revolution not election.

by the way, i watched Bhutto interview by David Frost in November, she claimed "bin Ladean was murdered by Omar sheik" huh! she knew too much.

Her happiness was depend up on to see when her people exercises democracy that they deserve. Too bad!

The woman was given too many warnings.
The Pakistani leader wared that he won't gurantee her safety way before her death. As a leader of a country, at least, he has the full responsibility to control any unrest in his power. She didn't know how to negociate in a peaceful manner. You can't kill your enemy when you are under his/her control. Positive communication that brings everybody into one common goal is the only one that creates peace and harmony for all people.

Don't snap and snap or else it will be your last breath like her. She has gained nothing to her poor people except a mesege of hate like what is happening in Ethiopia.

Don't forget, hate breeds hate and there is nothing you can gain from it. The Arabs and Israel are living with hate and what is happening there is good enough anyone can learn from it. Spreading similar a hate war in Ethiopia is nothing but a disaster to the people who are trying to raise their children in a peaceful manner.

Peace!
