Ethiopia - Ethiopians Celebrate Epiphany celebrations
Christians across Ethiopia celebrated Epiphany.
Epiphany in Ethiopia is a unique Holiday with multitudes, clad in traditional clothes, coming together at festival venues and churches where spiritual and cultural ceremonies take place and crowds, followers of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, follow Holy Slabs to and from churches since the eve called Ketera.
"The public cooperated as usual with police and security forces in ensuring peaceful and colorful celebrations of the Holiday," Head of the Federal Police Public Relations Commander Demsash Hailu was quoted as saying by ENA.
Wikipedia defines Epiphany as "a Christian feast day which celebrates the "shining forth" or revelation of God in human form in the person of Jesus Christ"
