Amhara Sate Administration, MIDROC-Ethiopia sign construction accord
Amhara State Administration and MIDROC-Ethiopia, a private business company, signed an agreement on Thursday to enable the company launch construction a national stadium in Bahir Dar City within 15 days.
The new stadium, which is expected to be completed within five years, will have the capacity to cater 50,000 spectators at a time.
Chief of the Amhara State Administration, Ayalew Gobeze and Company Owner and Chairman, Sheikh Mohammed Al-Amoudi signed the agreement.
After signing the agreement, Ayalew said the regional government awarded the contract to MIDROC-Ethiopia owing to its ability to execute such construction projects.
Ayalew commended the tycoon for his investment in the region and his readiness to assist the regional state in bringing about overall development in the region.
Sheikh Mohammed Al-Amoudi on his part said he will be closely following up the construction projects and thereby finalize it as per the agreement
