Ethiopia's PM Declares 'Mission Accomplished' in Somalia

Heinlein report - Listen (MP3) audio clip

Addis Ababa
11 December 2008

Ethiopia's Prime Minister Meles Zenawi has declared "mission accomplished" in Somalia, and told parliament Ethiopian troops will be home from their controversial two-year military mission within weeks. Mr. Meles also pledged Ethiopia would guarantee the safety of African Union peacekeepers in Somalia, should they choose to withdraw.

The Ethiopian leader admitted it has been impossible to crush the Islamist extremist al-Shabab forces and establish a stable government in the two years since he dispatched troops to neighboring Somalia. But he said that was not Ethiopia's objective.

That, he said, is the job of the United Nations, which gave legitimacy to Somalia's Transitional Federal Government; the African Union, which initially pledged to send 8,000 peacekeepers that he thought would quickly replace Ethiopian soldiers; and the international community.

But in answering questions in parliament, Mr. Meles said he was bringing the troops home confident they had accomplished the twin missions of preventing the establishment of a militant Islamic regime, and giving the international community time to intervene.

"Our main mission was to defuse the plan orchestrated by Eritrea, accompanied by al-Shabab, and anti-peace elements in Ethiopia, he said. "We have defused it in a way that it cannot come again. That is, if we feel there are signs it is coming back again, we can take action. We did that in the first two weeks. Our second mission was to give the international community and Somali peace forces time to accomplish their mission of bringing lasting peace to Somalia. We consider two years enough time. So we have accomplished both our missions. Unfortunately, it has not been possible to bring lasting peace to Somalia."

Urgent efforts are underway to bolster the 3,400-member AU force known as AMISOM, and possibly transform it into a U.N. peacekeeping mission. If that fails, however, and the international community abandons Somalia, Mr. Meles said he has assured Burundi and Uganda, the two AMISOM troop contributors, that Ethiopia will guarantee safe departure of the peacekeepers.

"When we intervened in Somalia, there were forces that stood by our side," he saidi. "So when we think of withdrawing from Somalia, we also think about how those countries will withdraw their troops. When we withdraw, the Burundi and Uganda forces have told us that if we withdraw, they might like to withdraw. They have told us they would need our assistance to withdraw form Somalia. They say it would be better if we escort them first, then we withdraw."

AU Peace and Security Commissioner Ramtane Lamamra is in New York for talks with U.N. secretary-general and Security Council ambassadors about ways of preventing a collapse of Somalia's transitional government after Ethiopia leaves.

African Union diplomats in Addis Ababa said the international community is showing a heightened awareness of the severity of Somalia's crisis. The U.N. Security Council is said to be preparing a ministerial-level meeting on Somalia next week. The African Union Peace and Security Council will hold a similar session the following week.

Even so, diplomats said it would take months to replace the several-thousand Ethiopian troops who are going home, much less to bring the AMISOM force up to its authorized strength of 8,000, or to transform it to a more robust U.N. peacekeeping mission.

In what are seen as significant political developments, the leader of the opposition Alliance for the Re-Liberation of Somalia returned to Mogadishu this week after a two-year absence, and the transitional government's parliament is assembling for a meeting Saturday aimed at affirming a power-sharing deal.

We are proud of our forces accomplished. Certainly Meles is one of the most respected and smart leader in Africa, those Ugandan and burundian contengents need the protection while they too withdraw. Indeed our mission is accomplished. No Shabia or, islamic alliances will use Somalia as a lounching ground to attack Ethiopia. The terrorists back is broken beyound repair and our military has done a superb job making sure they will never stand again to walk past Mogadishu. The somali government is unable to over come their silly clan war-fare, the Ethiopian forces were invited there to bring peace, and eradicate islamic terrorists who decleared jihad on Ethiopia. However, while we accomplished the later's mission but the Somali government is unable to use the opportunity which granted by meles and Ethiopia. They thought ethiopians are there foreve, they were seeking an open end commitment. Meles has given them several chances to over come their childish and insane war among themselves, but they proved once more how barberic and nomadic Somalis are. perhaps, they will be better off living in a total unending chaos.

Uganda says Zenawi is lying
KAMPALA, Uganda (AFP) -- Uganda on Thursday strongly denied comments by Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi that it wanted to pull its peacekeeping forces out of Somalia.

"This is absolutely not true and this is contrary to eveything we have said. Our position has always been that if Ethiopia pulls out of Somalia, we will increase our presence there," Uganda's deputy foreign minister, Okello Oryem, told AFP.

Oryem said he was "surprised" by Meles' statement to the Ethiopian parliament earlier Thursday in which he said Uganda and Burundi wanted to withdraw their forces as soon as possible, even before an Ethiopian pullout scheduled for early next month.

"Uganda is prepared to increase its battalion if there is a need," he said.

From the start, this was a quick money making scheme orchestrated by the shameless rear humans. “Mission Accomplished” is staggeringly resembles the act of people who were paying for this blatant act. The difference is Bush has done it in the Air Force cameo flash, Meles on the other hand in designer suit. It is not coincidence that Meles is leaving Somalia all of the sudden when a new administration is forming in Washington. Is this means the payment would discontinue under the Obama Presidency? It is disheartening to see our country Ethiopia is govern by hit men for hire, thugs, and collection of tribal bandits.

It is not that the mission is accomplished, but his daddy George Bush is going out of bussiness in weeks. No MONEY POURING IN FOR MELES AND HE HAS TO QIUT AND RUN. This was not Ethiopian business, but that of Bush's WAR ON TERROR AGENDA. This is good for our poor military personell who doesn't have no real business to start with. Even those who served in U.N. assignments and got paid by U.N. were not getting their money in full and on time. Woyanne business is dying with Bush going out to a real bush in Texas.

He said, “Accomplished the twin missions of preventing the establishment of a militant Islamic regime,”
He is a pathological liar… who he ling to? Actually the reality is far from the what this leech said it…. When he leaves Somalia he leaves that place for stronger and very fundamental Islamic group. The only people who believe what this guy say is the same people from Adwa and the one who sell their sole and mind. He leaves Somalia not because mission accomplished he leaves because the al-shabaab won and makes Melese life difficult to stay in Somalia.

Anyhow my stand from the beginning is the same this war is not a right war and not help Ethiopian whatever way. I hope this bloodsucker withdraw from Somalia for good and leave Somalia affair to Somlian’s. Hope the poor Ethiopian go back to their home to their family…

Mission is not accomplished. Not a bit of the mission accomplished.
I thought they were going to accomplish it by adding troops in a form of troop surge to wipe out the enemy.
It seems that the added troops were only to protect the troops pull out.
Somalia is back to zero one then. The mission is going to end disastrously where shabia and Islamists will declare victory. Too bad Mr. Meles. What do you do now in Ogaden if these guys bring the war to Ogaden?

Today, I was watching a documentary video. The video is about this particular species of chimpanzees in Rwanda that are in extinction. There are only 700 of them in the world. My company needs to give away charity for some good cause non profit organizations, and a few of us were trying to decide to which ones we need to give away the money for. That is why I was watching the video, to make a choice, and I was thinking how people were concerned about the chimpanzees more than they were concerned for the safety of the people of Rwanda back in 1994. We all know the story. I don’t need to tell you, I am sure. Can I assume most of us know the ideology of the survival of the fittest? Well, I try to put it in short.
“For those who are fit to survive, the unfit ones must die. So the weak and the unfit ones don’t consume the limited resource the planet earth provides. They are dying anyway due to war, drought, diseases, etc. So why would they live a little bit longer and consume our resources, anyway. Let them go sooner. It is better. So give them the weapons and all the other stuff they need to kill each other. The more they don’t like each other, the sooner our wish comes true.”
This is the survival of the fittest ideology, and we, the black people are falling into the trap. There is no one to save us. We are on our own. Believe it or not, this is the big picture of what is going on in politics. It is clear that the Ethiopian government is trying to divide us. So they can stay in power a bit longer, the English system, divide and rule. What I wonder is what it takes for us to outsmart them. If we look deep, don’t we find more connection among us than differences? Oromo, Amahara, Tigire, Gurage, Kenbata, Somale, etc, how are we different from one another? What makes any of us better or less than the other one. We all are dirt poor, anyway. We all are the “burden” of this world, anyway, that needs to be feed, cured, helped, and taken care of. What makes me, whoever I am better than the other one? What makes me see my brother or sister beneath me? Is it Inferiority complex, perhaps? What in heaven’s sake I have that the other person doesn’t have, extra ear, nose, eyes, legs, hands that I showed I don’t work harder with, or a better I.Q, better looks? Well, none of us proved that, and we will never be able to prove it. Even the whites try to prove that by nature blacks have lower I.Q than any other race, but they fail. Some people say we, blacks are lacking something in our brain that prevent us from getting along. Are they right? So far it looks like they are. Please please please somebody tell me. What does it take for us to focus on what we have in common? What does it take for us to win our brothers and sisters with love not with guns? What does it take for us to treat each other with exactly in the manner we all want to be treated? Are we, the people of Ethiopia smarter than our so called government? I say “so called government" b/c the purpose of government is not dividing people. It is bringing everyone to unity. I hope somebody has an answer for this. Can I add one more thing? Why do you think in some highly developed countries such as the U.S they try to help the advancement of a certain group of people (minorities, as they call them here), like blacks? B/c they believe and proved that the backwardness of those people in the country affects everybody else. You can only grow to the fullest potential of yours together. Only ME don’t work.
I am not an angry black man. I value people based on their character, not based on who they are. But day by day, I feel bad we are still in the bottom of the world, and we still do things that aggravate our problems. I am wondering if that can be stopped in our life time, and by the way, I support the effort of saving the chimpanzees. I just think we, the African people are ignored by ourselves and by everybody else’s. We deserve better. May God open our eyes!

Meles, his peanut head and multiplex tongue doing the daily routine of lying and deceiving. For once he sounded Challenged like the friend I know, ሳይገድሉ ጎፈሬ!! He did not listen the mass when he was told there is no real threat inside Somalia for Ethiopia's sovereignty, which was true then, but today after he actually emboldened the then non-existent Jihadists and tainted our good name across the Muslim world, he wanted us to believe his white lie of 'mission accomplished'. It doesn't matter what the reality on the ground tells, the mission has been accomplished because he said so. It is true that he, personally, might have collected millions for his service, but for us Ethiopians, it is not profit that is waiting us but continuous fear and enmity with the people who have found new reason to resent and hate us more. Ayii Meles, at least you should know the world is bigger than your parliament and the people are better informed and smarter than Addis, Lidetu and co. Don't be like the Challenged friend of mine who measures and values Ethiopia only in terms of his village's 'wog ena sirat' which are 'hamet ena niket, alubualta ena wushet'.

EPRDF has done way better than any of those who attempted to fix Somalia.

It took our troops two weeks to accomplish what others failed for two decades...and remained in the country for two years with minimum casualty.

I can certainly now say that EPRDF can walk into and walk out of any situation.

In the near future however, half of Somalian people are gonna think again whether it was smart to resist Ethiopia's intereference....as Ethiopia is getting close to recognize the independence of the Somaliland...We recently just opened an embassy type office in Somaliland...

Peace in somalia or not, that is their problem as we are not their baby sitters. If there are enough concerned citizens, let them figure it out...the main point of the move was to chase and kill those shiritams and their allies. If there are those who don't want to live with those fanantics we have the obligation to give them protection...as Somaliland would require it soon.

I am really happy that our troops can atleast chillout at Awassa beaches before marching north.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he declares independence from the rest of Ethiopia, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the Oromo people who are the majority in Ethiopia take advantage of the situation and either declares independence from the rest of Ethiopia or rule the country for years to come. I wouldn’t be surprised either if I see Eritrea waging war on Ethiopia to grab more land. I wouldn’t be surprised to see if the Somalis in the Ogaden region decide to wage war on those troops in their territory, and further more I wouldn’t be surprised if the rest of the Somalis decide that they want revenge and take the war to Ethiopia and not forget to mention Sudan. That’s a bad picture I painted above, but don’t forget they are good at begging and I will not be surprised to see them begging other nations to save them as usual. I wonder if he ever took history classes or they forgot to mention to him every time Somalis and Ethiopians fought a war, the Somalis always won but I guess he wanted to see if he can finally win one Ethiopia. What shame, what a shame, what a shame.:crazy::?:

What people yet didn’t understand is, if we waited the enemy to bomb ADDIS ABABA or anywhere in the country, that would have been a grave mistake. The measure that was taken by the Ethiopian government was appropriate. Based on the way they planed with the cooperation of the mafia party in Eritrea, by now Ethiopia would have been worst than Somalia. However, it didn’t go well the way they wanted it to be. Now it is the time to focus to the mad man at north who is allowing IRANIAN military and missiles in our region. If anybody have to scared by pulling out Ethiopian troops from Somalia, that should be the mad man in Eritrea. There is a reason why Ethiopian troops are coming out from Somalia, mark my words, time will tell soon!!!!!!

I hope that he wakes up, opens his eyes and says to himself "What a terrible nightmare! I am glad it is over" Then he ignores Somalia for good. No relationship, no 'helping' hand, close the border as much as you can and just shoot at whoever shoots at you.

We, Somalis too need a similar 'waking up from from a terrible nightmare'.
I think that could be realized unless Alshabaab decide to push everybody aside and take it all. In that cenario we are going back to square one.
Unfortunately, in the Horn we see a nightmare after a nightmare, never ending.

Copycat of Bush!

The only difference is that Bush, in May 1st 2003 announcement, had sailors next to him and a War Ship, USS Abraham Lincoln, to post his banner, "Mission Accomplished", but Meles, only mercinaries around him, thanks to Eritrean selfless jeganus who will never relinquish their own to other looters and never fail to see what is coming ahead.

We have heard this "Victory" fiasco even in Ethiopia before, in the year 2000, while submitting to the peace agreement in Algeria, designed to fool Ethiopian people, after the loss of the objective of the Western brokered "Border war", which is to, above others:
- To march to Asmara
- To overthrow Eritrean gov't
- To reclaim Assab
- To destabilize Eritrean economy
- To damage Eritrean psyche of independence and viability
- To minimize the Worst nightmare of Wowaye Ethiopia, the Eritrean Defense Forces.

I just simply say the following:

Well,

Mission Accomplished! What mission TPLF can accomplish? Do they have the capability? I don’t think so.

These thugs are and always will be seeking a free meal.

Somalia made TPLF and Eritrea put them to power. The Americans used them to invade Somalia with military support, aerial, land and sea. Americans also paid the salary and death insurance to the TPLF soldiers and their families.

These thugs know nothing about self-reliance. They are weak, backward, beggars and backstabbers.

I rather have them thugs stay for now, cuz their end is near.

Think-Tank called Enough Project released a press statement. Following is the opening paragraph.

“As the Bush administration prepares to leave office, it is taking three ill-considered actions that threaten to exacerbate the already catastrophic situation in Somalia and tie the hands of the incoming Obama Administration. The Bush administration is: 1) urging Ethiopia to keep its armed forces in Somalia until after the administration leaves office; 2) pushing for authorization of a U.N. peacekeeping mission to protect the fractious and impotent Transitional Federal Government after Ethiopia’s departure; and 3) moving to place Ethiopia’s arch-rival Eritrea on the U.S. State Department’s State Sponsors of Terrorism list. There is little indication that the Bush Administration has thought through the implications of these major steps that would not only prolong the violence on the ground, but would hijack the incoming Obama Administration’s policy prerogatives while leaving it with an even more intractable crisis in the troubled Horn of Africa.
“These eleventh hour shifts in policy will only create more blowback for the United States in the region, and serve as a de facto recruiting tool for the hard-line Islamist militia, or shabaab, that is wrapping itself in a mantle of Somali nationalism fighting foreign forces,” said Enough Project adviser, and long-time Somalia expert, Ken Menkhaus, an Associate Professor of Political Science at Davidson College.
Ethiopia is currently scheduled to withdraw its forces from Somalia by the end of 2008 as part of the fragile U.N.-led Djibouti peace process. The two-year Ethiopian occupation of southern Somalia has been a magnet for violence and a growing insurgency in Somalia. By urging Ethiopia to maintain its presence in the capital, Mogadishu, the Bush administration is handing the shabaab a recruitment bonanza while undermining the credibility of moderate Somalis seeking to advance the Djibouti process.
“The Bush administration policy in Somalia has not only been ineffective, it has made the situation on the ground considerably worse,” said Enough Project co-Chair John Prendergast. “It is not too much to ask that the Bush team practice the maxim of ‘first, do no harm’ before they depart. The incoming Obama administration should have the chance to rethink Somalia policy, including its counter-terrorism dimensions, without having to react to a firestorm of bad ideas weeks before the inauguration.”
The Bush Administration is also pushing for a U.N. Security Council resolution to authorize a U.N. stabilization force for Somalia to replace departing Ethiopian troops. This is a bad idea on a number of fronts, and there is zero indication that the administration or the U.N. is serious about putting in place a genuinely credible force. There is no thirst among member states to contribute troops in Somalia at the current moment, and whatever U.N. forces could be scraped together would surely become the main target of insurgent attacks. In short, the Administration is pushing the United Nations to authorize a force that is designed to fail. This policy is the worst of both worlds: U.N. forces would be unlikely to create political or military stability in Somalia while giving shabaab militias a new foreign occupying force to attack.
Finally, by placing Eritrea on the U.S. State Department’s State Sponsors of Terrorism list, the Bush administration would push Eritrea into a corner precisely at a time when they are willing to demonstrate some flexibility. There may or may not be sufficient evidence to make the case against Eritrea, but such a strategically significant determination should not be made by a lame duck administration. This determination has the potential to spoil U.S. peacemaking efforts in Sudan and Somalia, and could deepen the crisis in the Horn of Africa by fueling already intense antipathies between Eritrea and Ethiopia. Designating Eritrea as a State Sponsor of Terrorism would have no purpose other than to shrink the Obama administration’s diplomatic room for maneuver in the region while possibly making the very real counter terrorism imperatives in Somalia more difficult to achieve. “
Bush is Evil.

Mission accomplished Bush style. I don't know who won in Somalia. But I do know that Ethiopia has not. It was wrong to invade a third country. If Ethiopia was fearful of the clannish Somali militias the best she can do is to defend her borders. Ethiopia can not afford to wage unprovoked wars of aggression on any country. At least not until it was attacked. Who is going to pay for the thousands of civilians who died in Mogadishu? Who is accountable for the property destroyed there? Trust me what Meles did there was a blunder. Most of all it was morally wrong. Shame on you Meles.

The guy is getting mad and mad.
In the history of our country Ethiopia, we had never ever invaded any country. But thanks to MELESE ZENAWI and his fellow friends we invade Somalia two years ago. EPRDF is destroying Ethiopia’s reputation they made awful history for Ethiopia ever since they took power. First they help ESAYAS in the secession of Eritrea then they went to war with Eritrea and put the country in a terrible situation. They killed hundreds and thousands of innocent Ethiopians, they sold our land to Sudan, and they imprison those who oppose them. They went to Somalia and killed innocent people who have never attacked us. Now the guy is telling us Mission Accomplished? Bravo liberator, Congratulation the East African “America” thank you for adding another enemy to Ethiopia that is what your mission is all about creating conflict both internally and externally so that the country could not have a peace when you are disposed of your office.

All Ethiopian solders please weak up and think wisely use your gun and tanks for a right mission don’t fire a gun on innocent people. OH I am sorry you don’t care about innocence if you so you would have not fired your gun on those people who protested for their freedom in Addis Ababa and the rest of the country after the May 2005 election. I am ashamed of you the uniform you wear is a respected uniform worn by patriots of Ethiopia who fought with the Italians to pass us a free country, but you made it cheap by killing your own people and neighboring countries. THE DAY WILL COME AND WE WILL BE FREE FROM THE EPRDF Dictatorship.

"In the history of our country Ethiopia, we had never ever invaded any country." -- Nat

I hear this statement again and again, but is it true that we have never invaded another country before this? If I'm not mistaken, Emperor Theodros II invaded Sudan. He actually tried to annex part of their territory, if not the whole thing. He was the only colonialist of all the Emperors we had. And had he succeeded in his grand endeavor of incorporating Sudan, Somalia and Eritrea into Ethiopia, we wouldn't be having this conversation ("Mission Accomplished"). What an unfortunate world we live in. While the copycats and the shortsighted survive and thrive, the imaginative (original) and visionary ones see their lives cut short!

Cheers!

As usual the Agazzi leader is wetting his pants, for he is well known during the struggle in field for hiding behind the front lines. His mad rush to hide at the sound of the flying MIG's is a bat of jokes.

The resident cheerleaders here are all out to hoodwink us all, but the UN comes this morning and pours a cold shower into their futile exercise. It seems that anything that the Agazzi touch this days, seems to be turning to dust.

Ethiopian intervention in Somalia accomplished the following:Denied the UIC cohesion left it divided into 7 unreconciliable factions.Intensification of Piracy resulted in globalization of Somalian issues to be solved by others.Forced Eritrean Dahlak project to cease,no skiff/boat/flight to slip & slide logistics or money into Somalia.Forced Eritrea to revise its mischief Red Sea activities restricted within its spheres(Afoms meeting of his men 18 days a go).
Forced Eritrea to swim into Middle East politics, invitation of Hezbollah training camp on its soil at Assab, where its action is more dangerous than Somalian piracy to be dealt with.Do to failure of the Dahlak project, again starting conspiracy with Chad to challenge the anticipated Ethiopian peace keeper in Dar fur.securing Ethiopian Easter flank.Leaving the Ethiopian high brass to concentrate on planning & debating the contingencies of the events if it comes/resulted in a moments.

Wadani,

Do not use the word Wadani (nationalist in Somali) as your nick because you aren’t Somali.

Second, Somalia is kicking your UNCLE Mele's behind because he invaded our country.

President Afwerki is a brave man who quit the so called IGAD when they all agreed Ethiopia to invade a member country, Somalia.

If there is a coward, is your Uncle Meles.

Thank you Ato Lasta (Lasta sounds like a male name and you also sound a man), It is good to know people read my comments. I sometimes feel that I say things inappropriate places. It feels good to know that some people read them. I just have this urge sometimes to share what is in my mind. I think awareness starts this way. By the way, yes I read some books by Chester Himes. I like him. If you haven't read it, I would like to suggest a book for you and for anybody else really. It is called the "Bell Curve". It is written by Harvard Professors Richard Herrnstein and Charles Murray. I hope I spell the names right. It will make you angry, but it will give you a very good idea about "the black I.Q" thing. Like their chiwawa Agazzi leader, some in here are suffering from paranoia, especially when it comes to Eritrea. Some Woyanne financed websites claiming to be Eritrean opposition websites prints some wild allegation about Iran's desire to station some missiles in Assab and voila it is believed as a fact.

I thought the Ethiopians had wised by now, for the Agazzi Tribal Junta is in the habit of manufacturing news as part of its disinformation and misinformation campaign.

Thus ease up, the Iran ertry is this weeks propaganda plot, nothing more and nothing less. The Agazzi pathlogical liers are here to entertain us until their time is up and thrown into the dust bins of history.

"Emperor Theodros II invaded Sudan. He actually tried to annex part of their territory, if not the whole thing." - Challenger

Having read several books about Emperor Theodros II and being admirer, I have never seen such a thing. You are becoming the gaff master of naz.com. It is entertaining to see you with these kinds of shams every time you show up. Your remarks are more of a gimmick or hoax often used in attempt to grab attention and publicity.

Ethiopia’s borders were surrounded by Turks at north and Nubians (Derbush) at west during Theodros’s tenure. Don’t forget that these two Muslim armies have pact to block any attack coming from the Christian Kingdom of Abyssinia. Then, it was impossible to the emperor militarily and logistically to cross these powers and annex another territory. In fact (contrary to your statement) the Sudanese (formerly Derbush or Nubians) were the very country invading the Kingdom’s territory through their border town of Kasella. Theodrors’s ambition was to eliminate these forces from the borders of Ethiopia and control its port Massawa at north and the border town of Metema at west. That’s why he sent Captain Cameron (the British counselor) to London to lobby for the aid of modern ammunitions and weapons so he can fight the Turks and the Sudanese to succeed his objective. The weary response from the messenger himself and in general from the British government triggered the war of Maqdela and the heroic death of emperor Theodros.

This is the factual history, no left or right, period!

Peace!!

Now, that our Somali adventure is waning down,in our latest council, we have decided that and let it be written,

1. We will rule the Empire as we see it fit. Any opposition to this solemn declaration will be met by a swift and heavy handed response by our Agazzi troops.

2. All riches of the Empire should be used for the benefit and reconstruction of the Abbay Tigray Republic.

3. The Republic would stand on its two feet and running in ten years time.

4. The only obstacle to our great design is the Eritrean President Issias Afewerki, for he has said that, you don't build a structure, if you do not know , how to dismantle it. He certainly created us, and for sure he knows how to destroy us.

5. Finally, the coronation of the Emperor Yohannes the V would be the final act. The Abuna Paulos, our esteemed cadre, would stay in power indefintely.

That, Mr. prime minister, was what we have been dying to hear.

And now, dear PM, do we somehow deserve to be told how many Ethiopian soldiers have died to accomplish this brilliant mission?

And while you are at it, do you think you can also tell us how much money was spent?

Of course you don't mind if out of the generosity of your heart tell us where the money come from and who approved the budget for this glorious mission?

And as you have been good PM in telling us that the mission has been accomplished, can you tell us if this means we eliminated the fundamentalists' threat?

Some sources have been telling us that a new more extreme and virulent form of the Islamists are now controlling almost the same territories they had been controlling when you ousted them (except few pockets in Mogadisho and Baidoa).

If this is true, Prime Minister, are we safer now than we had been two years ago?

Mr Prime Minister, I kind of thought as a guy who grew up in rural Adowa, you've seen (or experienced it yourself) mothers shaving their babies hair so that the babies will have full, rich and luxurious regrowth (of hair).

I am sure you have seen or experienced it. That, Mr prime minister is what you just accoplished in Somalia.

You just removed (shaved) the competing weeds of hapless fudamentalists and allowed the extrem and most virulent(full and luxurious) forms of the Islamists flourish.

What have you got us into, Mr. Prime Minister? No, sir, we are not getting out clean.

You know the saying about a piece of meat dropped on dirt? Same with a defeated army turning its tail. The dirt will hitch a ride home, too.

Mr. prime Minister, if I sounded disrespectfull, please accept my apologies.

Ogadenson, CUD(coalition for unity and democracy) or simply known as Kinijit(coalition) made of four political parties represented all ethnics across the country in 2005 election except in Tigray the only region with a single party TPLF.. Kinjit won 137 seats out 138 seats in Addis the capital where most educated mix ethnics live, In Amhara region Kinijit won 107 seats out of 294 seats "officially", besides; AAPO(All Amhara People Organization) part of UEDF another coalition party led by Dr Merara Gudina and Dr Beyene Petros, so why put 'Amharas' in the box? the same as ONLF doesn't represent all Somalis.

Wadani, i understand where you are coming from but why can't you think beyond your little nose(village)? why your belly leads your head? you are celebrating when thousands of Somalis/Ethiopian women, children vanishing in the red sea trying to escape poverty and shelling of bullets in Mogadishu. this is response from the other page.

After participating in these discussion forums I have realised that there are TWO major types of people in these discussion

1. TPLF cadres who come here on principle to distort the truth, if not possible CONFUSE the hell out of everybody, if that is not possible then threaten. This group of people are few but their nick names are MORE ABUNDANT than most others.

2. Genuine people who have either tested the bitter taste of Woyane in its dungeons or the streets of Addis and Bahrdar, Gonder, etc. or people who are genuinely angry because of the mass murder of 200 people in Addis Ababa and now the illegal imprisonment of TEDDY AFRO by cadre "Legul G/Mariam."

Just observing.

p.s. NOT everyone who masquarades as opposion in these websites or for that matter in realife is a genuine opposition. You can recognise a TPLF rat by the way they operate...mostly they outright lie, or distort the truth or recently they use their favorite tactic of confusion with a good rat-nose for sniffing division and sowing hatred between every imaginable group. Did I mention the TPLF-Rat's method of PULLING OUT OF THIN AIR an "oromo problem" everytime they are threatened. ALL OF A SUDDEN there comes GUTEMA, and OBBO LAFA who is so so so angry at neftegna Amhara :) In the TEDDY AFRO frame up, they started to bring that up, for example with "He is going to Kalti to face my oromo brothers" etc of Obbo GUTEMA.

OBBO GUTEMA! NOT OBBO LAFA :)

Somalia is a sovreign nation. None of our business to be there. In seventeen years since its inception, 1960-1977, Somalia invaded Ethiopia four times. But neither the Imperial government, nor the Dergue regime never set its foot into Somalia. This is a simple fact that skips the mind of many. Now look at Mogadisho, thousands dead, half a million at least living out in the desert. I am so ashamed, I don't even know what to say to Somali friends. It is very very shameful and it will definately have many more bad outcomes to follow it in the coming years.

Please share the name of the book you read about Theodros II invading Sudan, it would be interesting to read about one of the most colorful tribal bandit of our history. I do know that he started as a leader of a group of bandits who terrorized northern Ethiopia until he gathered enough followers to defeated his in-laws, crowned himself negusa nagast of Ethiopia under the name of Tewodros II and then moved on to defeat King Haile Melekot and imprison his son, the future emperor Menelik. My unbiased opinion of Theodros II is that he was one of the most violent and suicidal but yet a colorful tribal bandits who showed up uninvited at everyone’s dinner table. The luck streak continues for Meles; he can make legitimate money by chasing the pirates out of business for one, although illegal to do so.
Writing of money, the soft-skinned Tutsis of Ruwanda and Brundi are carbon copies of W's, in that they project civilized and orderly face to the world, especially to the West, while invading a neighboring country (Congo) and plundering its resources, raping and killing its young males, and denying it cleverly. Before Cholera started decimating Zimbwuabwe these past several weeks, there was shortages of water and severe lack of sanitation which resulted in the deaths of 16,000 people, a crisis that even shut down the hospitals.

What Mission Accomplished? George Bush must have given the “Mission Accomplished” sign to Meles; and Meles literally clamed it. Woyanes are working hard everyday to destroy the confidence of all peace loving Ethiopians by intimidation, torture and killing and they are spreading their skills to our neighboring countries. In the first place Meles, the illegitimate leader of one of the poorest country Ethiopia has no business of attacking Somalia. Some of you Tigraes like to believe that no crimes have been committed by your relatives Woyannes; fortunately it will be in the history books for generation to come for all of us to remember just like the horrible history of Germany. "Having read several books about Emperor Theodros II and being admirer, I have never seen such a thing." -- eclad,

Here we go again, you dumb ass. You and your identical twin (may be even the same person), Feri, know very little but don’t know when to shut up. What does being an admirer or reading several books have to do with what I said being based on historical accounts or not. Are several books about Emperor Theodros all the books about Emperor Theodros? If you the admirer and a-few-books-reader have never seen such a thing, does that prove anything? Could it be possible that you need to do some more reading outside your Kebele library's collection? On several occasions, I have tried to tell you that I'm a bit too much for you, that you are out of your league to be conversing with me, but it looks like anyone in here or out there is better and rational than you. You are troublingly lacking in your ability to comprehend basic information. I don't mean to be condescending, you know. I'm just politely pointing out to you an obvious shortcoming in your abilities, since it turns everything into a bone of contention here. You're too literal in your understanding and too argumentative in your attempts to learn or teach. For instance, you could have simply asked me to furnish you with my sources instead of taking the risk of being proven wrong and stupid, when you know it quite well that you are yet to read all the sources out there. But, your reasoning ability or approach is such that you don't even hear yourself. Had you listened to yourself as you wrote the first line of the comment and if you had an iota of understanding, you would have known that you are not in a position to arrive at the conclusion you have arrived at. So, any reasonable, mature and learned person with your set of facts, at the minimum would say, "even though I haven't read or heard about it, there is the possibility that this information could be out there since I haven't read everything. So let me first ask for a source before I jump to a conclusion that says s/he is wrong." You not only didn't do that, but even went so far as insulting me before you are 100% sure.

Moreover, you need to get your facts straight before you try to point out an error in something you have very little knowledge about. I think you are confusing Yohannes IV and Theodros II. There were no “Derbush” (Dervish) or Mhadists during the time of Theodros. All the facts you mentioned there including the border clashes sound very much like you are talking about Yohannes. Theodros died on April 13, 1868. But the “Derbush” haven't declared war (jihad) against their Egyptian (Ottoman-Egyptian ) rulers or controlled Sudan until 1881. They were non-existent as a noteworthy force until that point. So your claim that Theodros fought against “Derbush” doesn’t hold any water. There were no “Derbush” during Theodros’ rein, only the Ottomans and Egyptians.

Theodros attacked the Ottoman-Egyptian force that was ruling Sudan in the battle of Dabarqi. The only source I could find for now is a reputable website of the Ethiopian royalty. Read about the Battle of Dabarqi in 1848 here. Also, other people in here who may know more could direct you to a hard print source.

Now, I haven't said anything about its accuracy because all the things both of us know about our history are from books and hearsays. As such, what both of us know could be inaccurate. That is why I said "if I'm not mistaken" in my comment. In addition to that, there is something called projection of facts (learned conjecture) using some other facts as bases. So if I say he had a grand vision of creating this Empire in the likes of the Roman or the British Empire, that conclusion is not based on 100% what I read about or heard about him. I’m making my own analysis and conclusion, as many historians do, as to what his tendencies were and what he was planning. It's just a projection about his endeavors based on known set of facts about him, such as uniting Ethiopia by ending the infighting fiefdoms of Mesafents who had divided and weakened the country, his uniqueness in attacking deep inside Sudan, unprovoked, and his bold proposal to the British to collaborate with him to free Jerusalem. To a very literal person like you, who has knowledge that is limited to the number of books you have read, this is very foreign thought and hard to chew area. I can see us arguing about this until the cows come home. And from what I can also see, you argue even with those who are in agreement with you about a topic. So trying to convince you anything, even things we agree on, is a futile endeavor. And the last thing I want to do is engage in endless and nonsensical back and forth, just the thought of explaining stuff to you makes me tired.

The historical fact I mentioned is new not only to you but to many other people who know about Ethiopia more than you and me. Ever since Meles invaded Somalia, I have been hearing very well-versed and respected Ethiopian historians and intellectuals/Opposition politicians say “Ethiopia had never in its 3000yr history in invaded another country.” I waited for someone to say something but no one did. So I never bothered to mention what I know or read because I wasn’t sure or shall I say confident about the whole circumstances surrounding that history. We don’t know much about it may be because when it comes to history, we don’t have a culture that embraces both defeat and victory or the bad and the good in the same manner. But that is only my guess.

P.S, Having read your comment to Balageru, I can’t help it but wonder what kind of person you are. Like last time, he is basically saying the same thing as you. He isn’t endorsing the last election’s results, not at least from what I could gather from his last comment. But assuming that we both read his last comment, you somehow got the impression that he is in the tank for woyanne. Can you see the word "officially" in his comment in double quotes? And do you know what that means? I really, really think you are an idiot.

They all feded and grown up the bloods of Ethiopian hard working farmers oromos and many other Ethiopians wealth’s taken by their grandfathers.Balagru,if this groups are modern Ethiopians, believe me I wouldn’t comment any negativity, rather i would be supporting them.Hailu shawel and his group are not modern and they are, still in their kings Boxes.
So we are ready to locked up in that boxes. They are not good for Ethiopia at all.We don't need the Kinijit Org.to contaminate the young generations of Ahmara ethnics. We,knew they only keep feeding the young generations the one side story of their kings and feudal landlords and that never telling them the other side(bad)of
the story. They should teach in both sides of story, the good/bads of the past to produce a young generation whom have the ability to distinguish of what went wrong and what accomplished by the past leaders. Of course they made a lot of achievements but also, they made a lot of mistakes and crimis. So,the point is to anyone/org.who thinking like the past/many years ago is wrong and that to oppse and critic them,I believe its the duties of all citizens. Their ideas is dangerous and it will divide and distory Ethiopia.

Balagrew, don't be fool and think the reason I am against Kinjit.Any modern ahamara person is brother/sister Ethiopian.

See fool, unlike you i know that there is no benefit or good in harboring the wrongs of our past to score tribal points. The reason, because our history as a nation is marred with unfortunate events which the Tigrays are as equally responsible as the Amharas. So, it is both foolish and stupid for the kettle to call the pot black. Now, you have screamed your disgust on me for saying I respect the men who have chopped Ethiopians' arms and breasts in Wollo, that is very honorable and reasonable take but i have a reasons. 1) as i said earlier it is pointless to ponder on the past for the wrong reasons i.e. to foment ethnic competition and upheaval. 2)I know the men who have committed those atrocities were honorable men who love their people and country and sworn to protect their sovereignty from any foreign ideals and intruders. In my humble opinion, when Emperror Yohannes ordered or approved the barbaric punishment on that cursed day, he was being true for the order, wisdom, and understanding of the day, he was defending his country's accepted values thus sovereignty since the church and its practices were at the center of politics. That is the only reasonable explanation for a crime committed by religiously brainwashed fanatic leader and his 'debitera' followers. See, i have learned my lessons from history unlike you who have kept silent when men and women being raped and hang on trees in Ethiopian Ogaden, on this day, in the 21st century. And that is the reason why i have been calling you a village idiot and tribal highness of the dark ages.

I would have appreciated if you have mentioned about the beating and verbal abuses that made you fall in love with the first Ethiopian Nazi from Shewa, aka challenged, instead of stuttering words that discredits and incriminates the emperor from "the plains of Temben". As i said it before, you are an embarrassment for anyone who shares a drop of your blood type.

challenged, stop hooting! We already know that you are nothing but a hate speech parrot with a massive inflated ego. Do you think we have time to waste for your desperate noise which is ridiculously long? I will grant my time only if you make it short or you should put forward an abstract out of your nonsense.

Interesting to learn two boldy losers fighting over a comb; One from the North, a modern day foodaid mercinary, and the other one from somewhere in the South, an old timer restless nefTegna, and a third one, loser as well, a hi hi bai gelagai, trying to bring the irreconcilable losers to a round table. What a scenery!

All of these is nothing other than the fact that both groups, one after the other, lost in the North, followed by the loss in the South, the Somali adventure. Now, both are trapped in between, like a cheese sandwich, between the North and South, waiting to melt. Their head was cut off in the North, and now, their rear end is wide open, for anyone to indulge thru. No way out.

Challenger -
Let me put your BS aside and focus on one of the very few arguments you made out of your collection of long & personal divination and cry for help.

You said; “I think you are confusing Yohannes IV and Theodros II. There were no “Derbush” (Dervish) or Mhadists during the time of Theodros”

Let me give you two examples from many about where I found my facts, as you can see they both are contrary to your false rhetoric.

1. “The area called Nubia/ Derbush extends along the Nile from the South of Aswan to the town of Dabba, near the Fourth cataract, linking Egypt - i.e. the northern part of the Nile valley - to the Sudan in the South. The name Derbush (Dervish) is first mentioned in Strabo's Geographica; the Greek author is believed to have visited Nubia or Derbush c. 29 BC. In most cases the name Nubia expresses the land it self and Derbush on the other hand is, the people lived in Nubia. They later established the Mahadi army to extend their territory to Ethiopia and Egypt. The very existence of the Mahadi army was supported by the Ottoman – Turk who at the time controls the red sea and Yemen.”
-.“The journey of Abyssinia” – by Johan McKinnon (PHD) university of Toronto (Department of history) - 1977

2. “Dejazmach Kassa (later Theodros), obtained his first ammunitions by capturing from the Derbush army which was stationed near Quara (Theodros’s birth place).”
-“Atse Theodros and the unity of Ethiopia” – by Teklesadik Mekuria, Historian, 1988

My take is, the etymology of the name Nubia or Derbush is uncertain, but some researchers believe it is derived from the Ancient Egyptian nbu, meaning gold, referring to the gold mines for which Nubia was famous and Drbnbu or gold diggers for the people lived in Nubia (the Derbush). These names do not appear in Ancient Egyptian texts. They refer to Nubia generally as Ta-Seti, meaning "Land of the Bow", a clear reference to the weapon favored by the Derbushes. I can see you are sharpening your border less stinky tongue, to go against this fact or even to attack the authors as this been known your pattern in this forum.

What makes me laugh but don’t understand is, your phony usual rage when your pathetic personality is challenged. Is it because you are weak?

I have been coming to Naz.com, for a long time. I have enormous respect to the people who put together this portal so ideas can flow freely and the Diaspora gets deep acquaintance with the current situation back at home and say their catch using this forum. This is a huge input & kudos to them. I come here with two aspirations in mind - to learn as well as to contribute my share. Having said that, I met (at least I read their consigns) numerous bloggers who I would like to call prudent & far-sighted personalities here. What I admire about these compatriots is - their persistency, gut, wise thoughts, and innovative and useful take about the country I adore. I do not care if they agreed with me or not. It doesn’t bother me if I get challenged in a rational way. I care less to which ethnic block they belong as long as they have some back bone to show wisdom.

Enough about me & now, I would like to tell you why I think you are the weakest link to humanity and put to rest this insanely long comment of mine. First, you blow your own horn a lot about how much you know, need less to say you are a person with least substance. Knowledge is not a litany of empty words which by the end of the day worth zero and deliver nothing. Second, you base your comments on bogus claims and unfounded reasons. E.g. – Africans are less creative because of their gene, your fuss about how the rest of Ethiopians should abort Tigrayans, your fake trip to Cancun and your love for Martini etc... That creates a clear picture about who you are and I decided to tell you as I see it, then your rage and emotion followed by your long and limit less vomit (comment). About, Balageru, you see I confront people as they come, he came across being another Kebatari then … bingo …. But, if he forgot his ball in your house and seeking assistance from a cripple character like you, what can I say, give him my regard of thumbs down.

Stop your self proclaimed prophecy of “I know better” and give other people to judge you as they observed you. If you have the audacity to call your self “Challenger”, don’t despise others if they like to challenge you. Again don’t be afraid of challenge – “Challenger”.
Enjoy!

Here is what I know about Atse Tewodros. As the "zenaa mewal", biographer, of Atse Sertsa Degal (over 500 years ago) said, I ask forgiveness ahead of time, if there are any mistakes. Mistakes could occur in talking about history because we are all quoting others since none of us were alive then. Three people wrote the biography of Atse Tewodros. One, Aleka Zenebe, A Gondarae, who was a primary witness of events and an official in Tewodros's court. Two, Aleka Wolde Mariam, a Shewan, who ended up in Gondar and Mekedela, as a "redd" helper to the Patriarch Abune Selama (Egyptian). His book only thirty two pages heavily detailed to some of the cruelty done by the Emperor. (Ye Dagmawi Tewodros Neguse Negest ze Ethiopia Be ande abenet yemigene Tarik.) Third, a book about Tewodros was written by another person who included both aspects of the first books. He did not include his name on it, but it is clear from his accent that he is either from Tigray or Eritrea. The third book also includes a lot of info about Tewodros's relations to the outside world.

Having said that, based on these books, a lot of what people in here said has some truth in it. For example, one suggested that Tewordos fought with Sudan. That was true, because he did fight with the Turks ruling Sudan then. Not only him, his uncle Kenfu, who was governor of Quaraa, western region of Gondar, fought several battles with them, during the Zemene mesafint. One suggested that Tewodros was nothing but a bandit. True, at one time he was a bandit, but what led him to become so is clearly written in the book of Aleka Wolde Mariam. He was living a comfortable life in the house of his uncle Kenfu. Kenfu sent money to the priests of Mahedere Mariam and asked them to pray for him, that after his death the rule of Quaraa will not pass away from his sons. The priests replied "the one who will govern all is your nephew Kassa(Tewodros later), "Le esu dehenaa adergehe adera settachew." Kenfu thought they were talking about the rule of Quarraa, and started to plot on Tewodros's life. One day he even threw a knife at him and missed. That is how Tewodros ended up as a bandit. But we have to recognize two things about Tewodros, one that he truely cared about the country. Two, that he had good intentions for modernizing the nation. The death of his wife, and the incredibly difficult behavior of our people, seen here daily, drove him insane. He did unspeakable cruelity. But my fellow Ethiopians, who didn't do that? Who is clean from the crime? Who didn't abuse one group of Ethiopians, or Ethiopians in general? Who is clean of blood from his hands? Tewodros beheaded 1,500 persons in one day in Wadla. No reason whatsoever, than a criminal told him that they were plotting against him. No evidence presented. Atse Yohanes (who I think was the most noble Emperor to ever come to power in Ethiopia) did unspeakable things to Muslims. Guided and mistaken by fanatic priests the people of Wello paid a heavy price, thousands left Ethiopia to Sudan and Egypt, first Ethiopians to flee to another country. Atse Menelik did unspeakable things in his conquest of what is today Southern Ethiopia. His own chronicle Tsehafi Tezaz Gebre Selassie wrote that 118,000 people died during the battle of Wolayta, a couple of years before the Battle of Adwa. Many many more died probably somewhere between half a million and 700,00 during the Italian occupation. What was done during Dergue days, we are all witnesses who were alive then, ende tekedene yebsel. I am not even going to attempt to go into that. What about the 100,000 or so that died in this stupid war between the same family, the two Sebhats, one in Asmara, and one in Addis Abeba (1998-2000). Ogaden is burning, Somalia as if they have not enough of there problems, we have dived in there head on to please Meles's masters. Where will it all end, dear Ethiopians? I ask, when will we all learn? When will we start to understand there are people out there who have a different point of view than us, that they are supposed to be respected for that. That we have to find a civil way to exchange ideas in a good human manner than trying to outscore the other in vulgarity and insult. We are all the sons of Ethiopia. Free, Balageru, Eclad, Ogadenson, Challenger, Wadani, and yes you too Gashe Lekim. Why don't we start today, and at least try to narrow the gap. Those before us they were much better, even if they lived in a far backward environment. They can have armies facing each other, but a few priests can go back and forth, make them swear, and all will go home, thousands saved from death. They give their word, it is good as gold. What happened to that genuine Ethiopian honesty and truthfullnes? Think about it dear brothers and sisters.

DO YOU KNOW THE KIND OF THE "MISSION WAS ACCOMPLISHED?

WHY BORROW FASCIST GEORGE W.BUSH'S "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" FALLACY?

For the purposes of clarity, let me briefly put things in this perspective so you can judge what "mission" has been accomplished here:

Traditionally, it was and still is the Somalis of the now called Somali State of Ethiopia or Ogaden Region and the Somalilanders particularly the Issaq, Ogaden, Issa, Dhulbahante, Issa, Bartire, Abaas Guul, Akishi, etc. who used to fight the Ethiopians for centuries, while all the other Somalis wherever they may reside used to be peaceful, uninvolved and passive. These group of Somalis are the ones who know the Ethiopians very well and they are truly, a brave, hardened and a fully militarized lot.

But, now, our large Southern Somalia brothers who used to be peaceful and passive all their lives and who used to hear tales of barbarism of the Ethiopian against Somalis, but never had and encounter with them due to the geographic distance between them, have witnessed their real barbarism after Ethiopia illegally invaded Somalia in 2006 to the present.

And after their blood was and still being shed in fascistic manner, they all took to arms and stood against the invading barbarian and inflicted on them heavy losses and have now become a formidable, hardened and militarized society, which is good for the Somalis in general.

What happened to our brothers in Somalia, no matter how horrendous it may be, it is indeed a blessing in disguise.

This also may mean that the fully militarized Somalis of Ogaden region and the powerful Somalilanders, will not be alone as has been always in fighting the Ethiopians in the future if hostilities spreads as, this time around, they will have the full support of the Somalis of Somalia who are itching for revenge.

So if the same could happen to Kenyan Somalis or were also to be invaded by either Kenya or Ethiopia and their blood spilled in the same fashion as in Somalia, there could also emerge another formidable, hardened and fully militarized group of Somalis.

This means that the entire Somalis if united would then, become a formidable force to reckon with in the Horn of Africa and East Africa regions and could then, easily conquer the peaceful, passive and farmer Ethiopians and Kenyans if they wished.

As a result, the only "MISSIONED ACCOMPLISHED" here are the following:

1.) Turning our peaceful and passive Somalia borthers into a formidable, hardened and a militarized society, which is good for the Somali cause in the future.

2.) Poisoning the developing and warming up of friendly and neighbourly relations between the peoples and the states of Somalia and Ethiopia, and sowing the seeds of more hate, hostility and enmity in the region.

3.) Turning the entire Somali people against Ethiopia particularly against the Tigray ethnic group, which is to their detriment.

4.) Creating a hostile environment that is conducive to religious awakening particularly in Somalia.

Overall, I would like to state clearly to war criminal Meles and his Nazi-Woyane, barbarian ragtag tribal militias, and their indifferent and evil supporters that there is no "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" here to boast of and that all you have done is wage a genocidal war against the poor and long suffering people in Somalia particularly the innocent women, children and the frail elderly who have now all taken up arms so as to bury you and your Tigray ethnic group and cohorts alive, God Willing.

The man who studied "Shakespearean Plays", who was conversant with "Greek Philosophy" according to his own enemies, the British!

Some tribal bandit he was!

Hi Mr. Shewarega!

Doesn't all the descriptions you gave, and all we know in a very long history, about our northerner leaders's brutality to the northerner inhabitants is the reason for their low number and proportion when we count today's citizenary, particularily regarding the number of Oromos. The mid- and sothern (east and west) was relatively quite in terms of war and brutality and kept populating their region.

I want to hear from you how war and brutality decimated the number and current proportion of the Amharas, Tigres, Agew, etc.

Eclad,

I will let you off the hook this time provided that, in the future, you will try to find out things on your own before you start asking questions or an argument.

Cheers!

STOP THE WAR CRIMINAL NAZI-WOYANE REGIME NOW BEFORE THEY DESTROY ETHIOPIA!

For those of you who are shortsighted and have been misled to believe that the arrogant war criminal Meles and his Nazi-Woyane regime as well as his barbarian ragtag tribal militias are so powerful and who foolishly perceive them as a regional power, read the following article and think of what has become of your equally arrogant "Superpower" master and be warned of what to come or in store for you and end your brazen tyranny in the Horn of Africa region before it is too late:

Article titled, "That Was No Small War in Georgia -- It Was the Beginning of the End of the American Empire."

Copy or click on the following link address to access the above stated article:

http://www.alternet.org/audits/112457/?page=entire

And if I borrow the author's title, word for word but, with slight changes, it may also mean that:

That Is No Small War in Somalia, Ogaden Region and Oromo Region -- It is the Beginning of the End of the State of Ethiopia.

Note: This is the 21st Century. So do not dwell on the past and gloat about past victories like the Romans.

Letting me off the hook is your fantasy you little bastard. This is exactly what I was trying to tell you all along and once again you proofed me correct with your big mouth. You are weak and empty. You use your long and boring BS to proof your self. Other wise your insecurity will destroy you. Where is your counter argument to my point? Isn’t why we visit here? Instead you open fire, you miss the target and you declare your self winner. That is a very chronic lapse on your side. You need to be bold and effective to affect me and be in the position off “letting me off the hook”. The way I see it you are not man enough yet and you got your work cut out for you. Then, you better start your long journey to Manhood before it gets too late. In the sprit of Christmas I will give two of my useless items as gift to keep you company in your trip. Please take the Toy Boy - faggot (Lekim) and the old tebtaba widower (Balageru )to be your yechin Gered. Am I generous or what?

Thank you dear friend. One compliment from those who disagree with you, is worth a hundred from those who agree with you. The reason I have mentioned Shewa in here many times before, because the current government said it does not exist anymore, nothing more nothing less. I would like to also make one correction. Shewa is not "ethnic" its a province, made up of many ethnic, of which the single majority group is people of mixed heritage. One more point, the 1994 census, the last one under the provinces, showed that 9 out of 40 million Ethiopians then lived in Shewa, almost a quarter. Again, many thanks.

Exponential,

There might be some truth in your point. But I strongly disagree with your view that Oromos are just by standers watching events in Ethiopia in the past. I also greatly disagree how others try to describe them as "helpless victims." (not you, I underline others). If we go back to the battles between the mainly Christian Kings and Imam Ahmed Gragn in the 16th century, it is clearly stated in many sources that the Muslim armies, thou they lost the major battle at Shibura Kurae, they were decemmated from their rear by Oromo warriors, not the Christian army. Many many groups small and large, including Sidamas, were swallowed by the Oromo advance. Many changed their old ways and joined the Oromo language and culture. That is one point. The second point about the "helpless victims" I disagree very much, because during the conquest by the armies of Menelik many Oromos fought bravely to protect what is their own. All the documents support that. One leader by the name of "Kojo" killed 700 troops in Arsi in one day. I have the documents. Also we should not forget the northern Oromos, from Wello to Yejju, to Kobbo, who were part and parcel of the events that shaped Ethiopia to what it became. Especially, the Yejju ruled the entire country for more or less 75 years. They deposed and installed kings as they pleased. The reason I am stating this is that the Oromo are a major player in Ethiopia. Not just stand by watchers of events, as your point suggested. Or just helpless victims, as other suggest these days. I myself have Oromo heritage thou I sadly do not speak the language since I grew up in Addis. Both my parents spoke fluent Oromiffa. As I mentioned in here many times before, my great grand father was the Oromo chief of what is today Addis Abeba (Abaebae Tuffaa). His house stood where the Sheraton stands, he gave the land to Menelik up on the hill, where the Eritrean resides. Back to my previous point. Noone is clean from the blood, the sooner we realize that, the sooner we start to respect the view of others. The sooner we lead our lives with truth rather than emotions, the sooner we lift our people from hatred, oppresion, and poverty.

But we were rather arguing whether Theodros attacked the Ottoman-Egyptian in Sudan or not. Well I provided you with a source. Do you have anything to say about that? And thanks to the usual gentle and power house of Ethiopian history, shewarega, he shared with us what he knows and gave you more sources. He said, “Theodros and his uncle attacked the Turks in Sudan.” So your argument, rather lack of information, has been resolved. And it's time to concede, and may be even do the honorable thing. Trust me; even though you brought this upon yourself, it’s not my intention to humiliate you. That is why I extended an olive branch and a face saving act (yemariam mekenet). But in your typical ways, you defecated on it.

And since you want to continue it in a direction that you thought you have an advantage, let's talk about the secondary issue you brought up. This was all unnecessary but I hope you will learn something from it.

I don't mean to belittle any of the sources you provided there in your response, but I think, from what I read a long time ago, the name "Derbush" is not a name of a place or group of people in one country or another, as you or the author suggested. Most importantly “Derbush” and Nubia are NOT one and the same as you/the “PHD” tried to link them, at least not until the Mahadists uprising. "Derbush" in Amaharic and Dervish/Darvesh in English is a term that has a Persian/Urdu origin and is a name given to followers of a certain sect or practice of the Islam religion (“refers to members of Sufi Muslim ascetic religious Tariqah”). But European authors mistakenly used it as a name of the Mahdists in Sudan, their equivalent in Somalia, and other places throughout the world where Muslims violently resisted (in a Darvish fashion) against the colonial rule. So, your first point, which suggests that because it is a name of a place or group of people in Sudan, even though you are not sure about its origin, they must be there when Theodros was alive and by extension they must have fought with him because the book says so, is erroneous in two counts. One: it is not a name of a place or people in Sudan. It's a misnomer, if you will. Two: even if it were a name of a place or people in Sudan, it wouldn't prove anything since I didn't say they/it didn’t exist as people or a place but as a military force bordering Ethiopia to the West. You said, “Ethiopia’s borders were surrounded by Turks at north and Nubians (Derbush) at west during Theodros’s tenure.” And I’m telling you that at the time there were no “Derbushes” as in Nubians surrounding and laying siege to Ethiopia in the West. It was the “Derbushes” as in Turks or Ottoman-Egypt that was surrounding Ethiopia both in the North and the West, because they were the ones who were ruling Sudan and Egypt at the time. So the name “Derbush” which came from Dervish was used to mean both the Turks who fought Theodros and later the Sudanese (Arab & Nubians) who fought Yohannes. Also, mind you, you didn't give a time frame in your first point, so the (PHD) is may be talking about a later date when they started to be called by that name as a religious/political movement against the Anglo-Egyptian (-Turks). That is exactly what he is saying, because he is describing them as having fought with Ottomans which occurred after Theodros’ death when, shortly after, they came to prominence.

Your second point, which was written by Teklesadik Mekuria, can simply be put out of business on the basis that he was talking about a military force without elaborating whether Turkish or Sudanese. Who was there at the time? We can verify from numerous sources that the Egyptian-Turks were the once ruling the country at the time, and who had their forces stationed there. The author used the name "Derbush" to describe Turks which makes it fallacious based on the argument in your first point which reserves the name for Nubians only.

I think you lost the main argument, your secondary argument, and the evolution argument. And the last of which you still want to re-fight. Like I said, the source of this argument and the evolution argument is your potential or personality, and examination of it is in order. A simple inquisition before you start throwing dirt and drivel would go a long way.

But, mind you, all this is unimportant stuff. And it became important because you made an insult out of it. You could have just looked it up and answered your own questions. It’s one thing to challenge someone, it’s another to come in with insults and calling it a challenge, just because I told you before that some things should be understood as a matter of commonsense, and you lack it. I'm open to challenge by those who at least understand what I'm saying. I welcome challenges; and there many who challenge all of us in here with knowledge and alternative views. But you mostly challenge people because you are a low information blogger. I can imagine how boring and depressing it is to others to read our back and forth. I think we should move such matters to a forum where I and you can go at it endlessly, hopefully until one of us wises up. But do you see a trend here? Do you see the problem with such an approach to teaching and learning-- teaching and learning though argument or question? When a student asks too many obvious questions in class, a teacher knows that s/he hasn't been doing her/his reading assignment or has been cutting classes. So when one asks many questions, people say “what is the deal? You are asking too many questions like a lazy student.” Similarly, most of your arguments and questions could be avoided if you do more reading form a new perspective you just came across.

If you want, we can form a history/politics forum called “Ethiopian History for Dummies” in paltalk where we can TALK about such stuff.

Free,

Thank you, don't even think about it. I love everybody in here. I had issues with some in the past, but I have learned and grown to learn that what matters is that we exchange whatever little knowledge we possess, and chart something good for our common home, Ethiopia. The apology is mine, as for forgiveness I did that to Mengistu himself, the one that destroyed my family. How can I hold a grudge to someone who said a few words to me in here?

Thereal fighter,

Noone will mess with us with a name like that. I tell you dear friend, I am not a client of Ammanuel hospital, rather a lone voice standing at the gate desperately trying to stop the long line of my countrymen/women streaming in there. Why so much hatred for Somali people? Let me tell you something a friend of my mother's once told me. Her husband was head of the Air Force during the days of The Emperor. She like most wife's of those whom Derge killed was jailed for over 8 years. After she came out of prison, she collected her kids and run for her life to Djibouti. It was none other than a Somali who took her and her family out. At a great risk for his own life, Derge killed people for much less. But one thing I will never forget what she said. This Somali at his house in Hararge, he made them sleep on his/and his family's bed, and he slept on the floor. She probably never even shook a hand of a Somali before, fate brought them together, and showed to her how good a people they are. I do hope one day you would cross a path with that too and find out what you said in here is not true. People are people everywhere, like kids in the playground, they survive peacably together. Its the politicians and the looters on top who poison the well. I have said in here many time before. Tigre, Amara, Somalae, Oromo, Guraghe, etc etc atebelu, newur new newur new newur new. Joro yalew yesema/

Shewarega,

That real life and moving story told by a friend of your mum, reminds me of an equivalent personal experience in Shashamane, which I posted on this forum a few weeks ago.

These kind of stories signifies that we are all humans and that we need each other therefore we should not hate one another and be divided by some godless, self-interested, corrupt, and tyrannical politicians, wherever they may reign.

And the following was my stated story:
____________________________________

A real Somalilander, remembering his Saintly Granny in Shashamane!

I feel sorry for the people and the town of Shashamane, whenever I hear problems to them. This town has a special place in my innermost heart and mind therefore I feel touched and saddened by the current famine and sufferings of the inhabitants of this town and wish I could in a position to help them.

Although I do not know the ethnicity make-up of the inhabitants of Shashamane town, some looked like Somalis, while others seemed Oromo to me, etc. Above all, I also saw some Rastafarian shopkeepers in this town. Nevertheless, I didn’t bother to talk to anyone or mingle with the inhabitants in order to know them better for security reasons.

At the time, my biggest concern was my own security and I suspected that probably some Ogadenis or Darood clan members lived here too and that if they discover me as a SNM freedom fighter of the liberation of Somaliland and an Isaaq Clan member, they might assassinate me or worse still, kidnap me and hand me to Fascist Siyad Bare in Somalia who used to pay hefty rewards to these ugly bounty hunters for such operations.

This was towards the end of Mengistu era and I recall, having traveled by road all the way from Dire Dawa and heading Nairobi, Kenya and spent my last penny in Nazareth town. But since I was also dressed in the same Ethiopian military uniform, I talked some Ethiopian Soldiers who were heading to Shashamane and they paid for my fare to this town.

Arriving in Shashamane at about 5:30 pm and being broke, I got stuck and could not proceed ahead with my journey. And as I was standing in the middle of the Bus Station and smoking and thinking what to do from here, an old lady who could be about 75-80 years old tapped me at the shoulder and as I turned back, she tried to hand me a big traditional gourd, removed the lid and showed me what is in it, which was actually yogurt milk and said something in her language as if asking me to drink it. I understood her kindness, but could not reply her back due to language barrier. So I begun to talk to her using a mixture of English (avoiding Somali language) and sign language by tapping my stomach several times to indicate that I am satisfied and not hungry even though I was really as hungry as hyena. But she insisted to give me the milk and I still declined to take it by politely saying something and tapping each time my stomach as if I am satisfied.

The old granny, by her instincts knew I am hungry though I didn’t look that hungry and was even smoking comfortably. She then, took a few steps away from me and returned quickly with a man who spoke some English. The guy told me that the granny said that she knows that you are hungry and she will not leave here until I am fed. And I told the guy, to tell granny, she is right and I am hungry and I will accept her kindness and offer. And the granny was very happy and handed me the whole gourd full of yogurt milk. I drank half of the yogurt milk and tried to give back the yogurt to the granny, but she insisted that I finish it all in her presence. And I did so happily!

After I finished drinking the whole yogurt, the old granny became happy and she tapped me three times at the back of my shoulders and saying something, which the interpreter told me that she is blessing me and that from now on I will not have any problem in my long journey. I do not know who told her that I was in a long journey even though I was at Bus Station. I thanked her back, kissed her hands and she immediately left and moved saintly with her little steps until she disappeared into the crowd. And boy, was I really fed and satisfied!

In fact, this was a blessing of some sort. And I must admit that this was the best yogurt milk I ever had in my life—and to this day, I have never had such a traditional, better tasting and delicious yogurt milk than that of the old granny in Shashamane. May God bless her in life and in death, Amin/Amen.

From Shashamane, nothing stood in my way and I immediately got a lift to Awasa town then, went to the police station to report my situation and some plain cloth security came for me and took me to the army camp, where I had dinner and spent the night peacefully. And in the morning, after breakfast, they came back for me and took me to the Army Barracks, where I met Col. Legesa, Commander of the Southern Region of Ethiopia (I heard he was languishing in jail and accused for committing war crimes). Col. Legesa, took me personally to a good Hotel, where I spent the night and in the morning he sent some of his junior officers to bring me back to the Barracks. At the Barracks, there were three Fiat N3 trailers, which were owned and driven by Eritreans who were commandeered to carry logistics for the Ethiopian Army at Suf town at the Ethiopia-Kenya border. I boarded one of the trucks and comfortably sat at the front seat in the cabin with Col. Legesa still standing and looking on. All the trucks had armed military escort on board and we left the town. Later on, one of these Eritrean drivers privately told me that they had been commandeered to transport these goods for free all that long distance and that this a great injustice done to them, but I couldn’t care less, and I was certainly, not on their side.

The journey from Shashamane to Suf, was a long one and it took 17 days. This was because the soldiers escorting the trucks were probably paid a lot of travel allowances, which also included my expenses since they were spending like Kings. And after traveling every 60 to 70 km., the officers could order the drivers to park for the night at the nearest village or town then, the officers and I went together to first, have a huge meal in a restaurant. Second, rent rooms in the local lodgings with everyone with his single room, but next to each other for security reasons. After that we went to the local pubs for some drinks. And when the officers feel like taking a woman for the night, they also include one for me. In fact, we became great friend and did everything together including experimenting on eating raw meat, for the first time, and surprisingly it was tasty and delicious.

Honestly speaking, this was a long, enjoyable and memorable journey, and to make a long story short, I crossed the Ethiopia-Kenya border safely and reached Nairobi, three days later.

That is why whenever I hear the name of Shashamane town, I immediately remember my situation, at the time, and my kind and saintly old granny. I wish I knew her home and family, I wish I had a picture of her and I wish I could help her and her family. May God bless her in this life and in the Hereafter, Amin/Amen.

Overall, I brought up this story to show that I have no beef with the ordinary Ethiopian people, but with the tyrannical regimes only, wherever they may be (Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Sudan, etc).

Shewarega,

Thank you for your response. The way I see it is quite at difeerent rate. The northerners were killing and enslaving each other at smaller and larger venues (like at the Kegnazmach and Dejazmach level and even lower and at Ras, Negus, and higher level subdueing the subordinates). There is much competition and arrogance among local feudal family members and tribes. On the contrary, the southerners are RELATIVELY peaceful and growing in number.

The other issue is that the Oromos, in Southwest where I am more familiar, call all Amharas as Sidamas. This is what I hear everyday being born and raised there. This shows that the southerners were Amharas forced to accept the culture and way of life of the Oromos giving credence to their high numbers today. Take where Ethiopian history was registered for couple of thousands of years: the Tigreans should have been the most numerous of our citizens.

Farah Ali your story is really amazed one it reminds me bro,my long journey to Somalia.Which was like this, that as teen ager, when I cross the border of Ogaden to Somalia and that had been walking 5 days through the beauty of Ogaden landscapes, specially, during its rainy seasons, when I that finally arrived at the border town of Somalia,I really disappointed and regretted, because my expectations was very high due the medias and radio propagandas was too exaggerated so my I got shocked.I remember that I said this is not for what thought and crossed the dangerous.Too late! and that my nightmares started.Because I can't go back since I left for no reasons except that, I got brain washed by the Radio Mogdshus and its transmittal Somali patriotic songs, the fake liberations and the Somali greater. So,I felt that I am not safe any more for going back and I can't stay Somalia. Its long story of highs and downs and, that mostly a disappointing, culture shocks, fears. I felt immediately a home sick,I can't go back and since that I that crossed the border,I knew the kind of punishments that it waits to whoever visit Somalia and comeback. It was crime to cross the border and even buy a shirt from Somalia and comeback. So, i stayed and suffered lonely in Mogadishu with my wondering of the culture and the ppls dialects including of those of my relatives whom really overred me that every things they had but still I became unsatisfied and heart broken boy.I missed my home my boys and my relatives in Mogishu started to call me, Ali-ahmara, I missed my town ppls,my school friends, teachers and the whole environments.
I remember that walking alone, siting alone somewhere in Mogadishu and crying alone. Its long story and this is the begging of my arrivals and how I felt.
Also, the good sides of Mogadishu ppls also,I cant fish her but I would like to shared with you in another times.

Brooks,

I am surprised you stored my comments. I never see myself worthy of that. Plus as I mentioned before history is a very tricky business even for the seasoned writer like Ato TekleTasdik, let alone an amatuer like me. As you know, he wrote several books right after liberation from the fascists. He was in his early 30s then. Fifty years later, after spending countless days and nights at European museums, where most of our documents are hold hostage, he came up with three brilliant books. The new books almost overturned most of what he wrote previously. And he even cited mistakes he made before. I am just throwing what little I know, nothing more.

Farah Ali Jama,

Yes, I read your story before, very touching. And look what people wrote in here, especially our brother Ogadenson. It would be good if we all continue to talk about the things that we have in common, that is the best way to find solutions for the things that keeps us apart.

Let me elaborate my self for the last time. Like I have said on my previous comment, it is good see you back up your argument. For a person like your self, it is considered to be progress. Like I said you have your own side and I have my part of argument. Your contention didn’t convince me but I give credit for any one who is willing to share about any topic. This is what I have been telling you all along. Your problem is you can’t stand any one who disagrees with you. Your mind set is not conversational but telling people what you think and expect them to buy it. When you see a person with a different view, you become outraged and try to deteriorate, discredit, obliterate and tear down the one with dissimilar observation. This by the way is your weakness number one.

Just look back and see your last again insanely prolonged comment. Count how many times you bragged about self indulgence. Focus on words you said like … I cornered you, I humiliate you, I thought you, etc… It sounds like you possess this enormous rush or obsession to declare your self winner or you measure success by how much you humiliate others. Why is it so important to you? The only reason I can think of is probably a personality disorder. With out competition, referee, or with out even a contest format how comes one pronounces himself a champion? Why not remain in patience to others make that conclusion. I am sure you will find some one to satisfy your crave & desire. This demonstrates your luck of confidence. Weakness # two

Although you utilize way too many words and venues to proof them, most of your arguments are not practical, realistic, feasible or even factual. When you claim the rest of Ethiopians disassociate themselves from Tigres, you never explained how. This is just a lone example out of many. If you use this kind of gimmick to distinct your self, again this is the indication of weakness.

Finally, in your earlier remark you stated that “There were no Derbush prior to Yohanes”; those are your words not mines. I presented my fact supported by my sources (the books I read), affirming the existence of the Derbush army or people before the time frame you acknowledged, that was just to show your famous gaff & usual stumble. Again, you accused me of changing the subject? Also, I can see your frail personality is running around, whether to go against these writers or not. I never portrayed myself, as I discern all these historical facts by my self. But, I conveyed what I know and provided their origin (the books & their authors). That’s all! You took that as insult? What a character? Our cyber exchange run its courses, if you don’t like my comments, you can take your hike to your dark hell.

My last confession is, I am humble yet stubborn. I am not absolute but capable. I don’t deny my short comings but I don’t let vigilantes like you to run me over. I don’t claim absorbing everything but I am self assured with my skin. My confidence extends all way to accepting when I am wrong and telling if I don’t know. There is no mistake learning from you if I found you useful but it is just you have this credibility issue. If you amend that you will see my awesome personality. If you remain as you are now, I promise it won’t hurt my feeling.

Woyane Hunter &
Xos

Ogadenson - Don't you think you are jumping to conclusion? I think ELCAD is one of the best bloggers I know in this forum. The reason why I support his comment is, under another topic he and Challenger had head to head because Challenger said some thing I think irrisponsible. He asid the solution for ethiopia is the terminate its association from the entire population of Tigrai region. ELCADs response was "lets not cut the whole tree because of few bad appls. What is wrong with that. Let me tell you some thing my brother- I am half Tigrai and half Oromo. I lived in Jimma, Agaro and Mekele because of my dad's work sitiation. I speak both tigrina and oromina. through out this experiance I find out that the people from Tigrai or Oromia have the same dream in life. To live, in peace, harmony and properity. Division is the tactic used by the current bad appls to facilitate their power hunger and to fill their pocket. I don't think the people of Tigrai benefited from this just like the people of amara never benefited from derg. Mr ELCADS argument was same and persistant. And I admire that. He articolated very well. I usually read nazret.com but i rarely coment. Many peolple say things not constructive, when woyane is in fault they blame the all tigri, when oLF is in fault, they blame the all oromo, when ONLF is in fault, they blame all Somalians. I think this must stop. We have enough land and resource if we get along. i don't know you agree or not but based on this, i think elcad been a very good comenter in this site. also, shewarega, farah jamah, free, and others deserve recognetion in my opinion. i don't know why Balageru and elcad got in to this exchange but if you see the coment by balageru, he hasn't done good remarks too. i am not here to pass judge on people but after i saw many irresponseble remarks here i feel like it is time to recognise some very sharp and positive ppl. i advise you follow every one and pass your say. But I agree with you insult is not good for anyone. I advise what he come across bright elcad and challenger to use their talent for good.
Thank you my brother Ogadenson.
good day

[elcad, stop mawonabed, lol, you don't need to do that!]

Xos you said:{Don't you think you are jumping to conclusion?}.Bro my comments was general advice. I just wants to stop such insulting words but i didn't charged the general comments you made it with him and in facts i didn't follow up the whole debates between you guys and that I just hated the inappropriate language you used to the bro or to any other one in the futures.I will say it to him same things bro,if he really used such nasty words but didn't follow the whole exchanges of both sides. We wants a clean debates and views to exchange here but not to insults up to that extents to each other. We wants to all us to exchange clean ideas and debates not to exchange such nasty words to each other.we should stop now and lets pass it now.

Thank you brother and that I also to thanks to Naz.com.

"Mission Accomplished"?

Ohh yea right! You faceless banda of course the mission of killing Somalians and fueling an already existing civil unrest and directing its violent energy to their neighbor Ethiopia and inciting their resentment against them is indeed accomplish. I hope for you to get tortured and burned live before finally being sent to hell which is where you belong in the first time.

Shewarega thanks for all of you comments today and specially for the second and fifth one. If we could measure man kinds ability and capacity to store information your would probably be on the top. How can you know and remember so much? This not supposed to be a compliment but a piece of hard fact I just can cope with and have to find myself wondering about after reading your comments.

Another thanks goes to Farah Ali Jama for your piece on this one and the one you put the other day where you on Taddy's Afros man of the year thing were 'demolishing' some die-hard weyanes.

As for the fightings above I just have a question; why on earth do we people tend to be attracted and get dragged into some back and forth lose-lose nonsense? can't you folks of Ethiopia at least just agree-to-disagree as Tsehaye keep asking us to in FM and your supposed recorders? And why is it easy for us to go to vicious personal attacks than just reasoning out our standings and speak our minds? why can't we try to convince each other in a civilized manner rather than trying to force down each other under the barrel of our mouthes shooting out and spitting pretty harsh words? Yea as a cyber friend of mine once said 'occasional outbursts are to be tolerated' but why keep these out dragged clashes where we brag about our violent tempered selves or our failed/bad upbringings or morally corrupted circles we spend time with? We aren't in this room for some kind of contest of 'who knows best' but as someone already stated we are here to share what we have in mind, to learn from each other! So isn't it constructive, practical and usually productive too to humbly approach each other and politely put our differing opinions into words without INSULTS and stop patronizing people just because we think we know better? Guess we will never find out...

"...stop mawonabed, lol,..."

I think you should be fair and start telling also others to not use multiple nicks and flabbergasting as the one you already gave an advice to (I'm having a friend of mine in mind, a sorry is reserved if I'm mistaken and do not see what I think I'm seeing but I'm seriously suspecting someone is using two different pseudos to basically say the same thing and also using pretty much the same way of expression and vocabulary).
