break out the champagne, the super model is on J CREW,
I am happy for you sister.Show the world how African people look like.
Keep it up
There is no doubt Liya Kebede is beautiful. But, what I would like to add to her outside looks is that she along with her husband is amazingly humble and friendly people. What a great family. I wish you more health and prosperity. You have been a great ambassador to our homeland. Keep up the good work.
Beautiful woman inside & outside.Keep up with the good work.
This woman needs to gain about 75 pounds and then she could be a model that an intelligent person would consider a model. These so called super models are models for European standards of beauty. It is also sick to know that the so called super models that are forced on the world as images of beauty have to have pre-teen or teenage figures. Makes you wonder if the west is promoting pedophilia.
Smart move for both JCrew and Liya. JCrew wants to capitalize on the free ad that Michelle Obama has given them in the past few months by featuring a black supermodel on their catalog. Whereas Liya will be using JCrew as a channel for the Lemlem line. Win-win, everyone’s happy ;-)
I’m really proud of her. She is one of beautiful African Model. However why she is not helping her country for having democracy. I know she is a good friend of Oprah Winfrey, why she does not ask her to bring one of the activists on the air to bring out the whole truth. A word of mouth makes a whole difference. It is really a shame using the name to be an Ethiopian, unless he/she helps the country.
am happy for you sister.Show the world how Ethiopian people look like.

Love to see Ethiopians succeed every where.
Leave Liya alone and you can get away with your stinky politics. I think you and your friends are doing enough so far, which is candle light demonstration in the streets of London and Washington.
Don’t forget she is a super model not a politician. Keep the politics for yourself and leave her alone!!
Anyways, Congratulation to Liya!!!
liya you are the most beautiful in the world. Succes with your charitable work for the fitsulla victims. God bless you and your family.
am really proud of that girl. She is not those ethio-american girls that forget their identity.
J*crew is a racist company that caters exclusively to a white uppity clientele.
The Super Model does not share your view…
