That’s good. In the mean time, the agency should reorganized in a way that could be a bridge in up lifting the consciousness of the society and gearing up with modern world. Like, in the big broadcasting agencies the journalists should trained in specific areas that they could have a deep know how on issue they broadcast. Journalists trained in law, science and technology, sport, history , economics , political science? so that they can channel a well digest information.

You don’t need high technology or new office space to produce good TV programs, just qualified people allowed to create interesting shows. However, like most government run corporations, ETV is about getting you and your cronies paid, while doing as little work as possible.

“…..it put BBC and South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) as a benchmark for EBC.”

Ok People let’s structure our media again b/s the election is right on the corner…
This time is not a joke we have a serious election coming up in a very shot time.
Let make it work this time…The government gave us green light to participate.
The government understood that most of the Ethiopia news has been highjacked due to bad media structure in our country. We will make it work this time…please if you have bad things to say about our people & leaders stay out of media business.

And what will be the change “..NADA.."; during Haile Selassie Regime ,"..Germawinetachew here and
Germawinetachew there..” than when derg juntas took power “..Gwad likemember here ,Gwad Likemember there.."and todays at the TPLF thugs
era :"..Yetekeberut Teklai Ministru..”
and of course :"..Tsahayu Nigus..” ;
“..Coministu Tagyu Meri..” ;"..Bilehu
Ariko Assabihu Kebur Tekelai Ministru.."and the same Bla ,Bla…
This what are they the Information medias ,owned by the state ,no matter to talk about the news papers
Addis Zemen ,Ethiopian Herald ,Berissa …
the same medias of propagandas for the sake of the regime in power .As said the great Teddy Afro:
“..Addis Negus Endji Lewt Metche Metta..".

Wonderful, it is about time they modernize the media. While you are at it, though, allow private enterprise to compete in this field. All in all, good job and wish you all much succes.

ETHIOPIA lover.

As they say, “Melke tifun besim yidegifu”

Changing names will do very little!

How about changing the name of Ethiopia to: “The United States of Ethiopia?” How stupid is that? While being ruled by a dictatorial monster!

Here is a better one,
“The Ethnically Fragmented, Yanked Around by Ragtag Agazi Killer Gangs States of Ethiopia!

The so called parliament should consider that name change.

Route out the enemies of democracy and free speech. Now that is a real change!

Excuse my soft tone!

Yours truly,

“…During the Business Process Re-engineering study that the enterprise conducted, it put BBC and South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) as a benchmark for EBC.”
We wait to see it in practice.

It is funny, changing name doesn’t make any diffrence. As far as it is owned by the government and run my Bereket Simeon, they better call it Woyane broadcasting. Who cares what ever they name it, Ethiopians don’t listen to it any ways.

First thing to do is to tell Meles not to lie on TV. Second, tell all his bonehead subordinates to respect the people. Why should people tune to lies and dirty languages?
