Ethiopia - Nominate Now For Person Of The Year

As the year 2009 draws to a close, is seeking nominations for the Person of The Year, who has made the most significant and positive effect in the Ethiopian community. Nominees who have made a positive difference in the Ethiopian community at home and abroad will be considered for the finalists.

Please include full name of the nominee, what you most admire about the nominee and their contributions to make a positive effect in the past year. Only nominees with a positive contribution to Ethiopia will be considered for the finalist. editorial board will select the finalists from the nominations we receive from readers and you will vote for the Person of the year from the finalists.

It’s time that we recognize our scientists and academicians,who are actually contributing awful lot to humanity.Stop the non-sense with nominating politicians,artist,or sport figures.

And my vote goes to:
#1 Dr. Gebisa Ejeta
#2 Teachers of Ethiopia for toiling in the field of education for little reward.
#3 none..surprising not even worthy of nomination.Put Myself and others on this site in the ballot for incessant reading and barking afterwards.

I have so many individuals in mind. As I travel to Ethiopia and meet individuals that are working day and night to bring change my list is long. Unlike the Anbessas’ here we have geniune Ethiopians back home. The one that I felt deserves ever honour is The Donkey library founder Ato Yohannes Gebregiorgis. If not him, my vote goes to Dr. Eleni Zaude Gabre-Madhin.
