DP World, Djibouti Port boost Ethiopian relations

DP World and the Port of Djibouti had a ceremony honouring their relationship with the Ethiopian business community on Monday at Sheraton Addis. DP World, which is in the middle of a 20 year concession management contract of the Port of Djibouti, had a ceremony honouring its relationship with the Ethiopian business community. Last Monday, at the Sheraton Addis, officials from Dubai and Ethiopia met together to recognize the importance of Ethiopia.
“Ethiopia has been experiencing dynamic economic growth and it is essential for DP World to uphold and further strengthen this relationship,” DP World’s Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Africa Region Joost Kruijning said to leaders in the Ethiopian public and private sector.
“Ethiopia’s economic growth requires a highly organized and efficient port service and DP World is ready to answer Ethiopia’s growing service demand,” Mr. Joost Kruijning said referring to the Doraleh Port.
