Ethiopia - Widow of accused drug dealer gets probation

XENIA — The widow of an accused Yellow Springs drug dealer was put on five years probation for her role in a drug ring that imported cocaine and marijuana to Greene County.
Bekelech M. Asefa, 26, [a native of Ethiopia] from Canal Winchester near Columbus, pleaded guilty to attempted complicity to racketeering and money laundering in October. She agreed to forfeit a car, cash and property. Judge J. Timothy Campbell sentenced her Tuesday, Dec. 15.
Asefa was married to Umoja “Iddi” Bakari, who hanged himself in a Georgia jail in 2008. He had fled the Columbus area when police raided homes he owned.
