Ethiopia - Meles holds talks with Islamic Dev’t Bank Group President

Prime Minister Meles Zenawi said Ethiopia is desirous to work closely with Islamic Development Bank Group.
While holding talks with a delegation led by president of the Islamic Development Bank Group Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Ali here on Tuesday the premier said Ethiopia needs to work with bank in the area of trade and investment sectors.
The premier said if member countries of the group invest in Ethiopia they would benefit as the conducive investment environment will pay off .
The premier said Ethiopia is to import fertilizers from members of the group.
Meles expressed Ethiopia's desire to enhance the trade and investment relations with Saudi Arabia which has the lion’s share from bank .
The president on his part said the cooperation with Ethiopia will benefit both parties.
He said the bank and members of the bank are desirous to work closely with the Ethiopian government.
The president expressed belief that investors from member countries of the bank would be beneficiaries if they engage in investment activities in Ethiopia.
