I've read some of the ridiculous comments written here on the Professor's resignation. Most of you said the AAU has fallen since he took office.

How do you know that? You cannot tell us that you have been in the university. Because anybody can tell from your scribbles that you've never passed even by the campus.

There is no doubt that the quality of education in the country is not up to the level it should be. This is due to many factors including among others, lack of quality teachers, the absence of quality education materials, ill equipped facilities, and other limitations resulted mainly from deep-rooted poverty the former regimes handed over to us.

The professor and his team, in addition to formulating the philosophy of higher education in the country, tried their best to liberate the university from any government interference, to link it to internationally recognized sister institutions and improve the quality of the syllabus to all courses provided.

So, please have some manners. You've not contributed an iota to your country, you never have gone to school and you've never tried to learn from books or life for that matter; but you have no shame to insult a highly educated and intelligent scholar who spent his life working hard and helping his country. Hey guys, I went through all the comments hoping to read few matured comments. Unfortunately, everyone seems emotional at this moment.
However, I would like to share my first hand experience with Professor Endreas , about 12 years ago in Addis Ababa, at a small pub called “Soho.” As I was trying to grab a drink from the bar-tender, I was in a very close proximity with the professor, who was sitting at the bar. He then looked at me and said, “Endih yemiwaga tut ale ende?”
This is a person who makes such careless and insensitive comment to woman. So, I do believe if AAU female students have had similar experiences with Professor Endreas .
