Educating our officers is a good idea however the military and security forces need to be independent and abide by the constitution. Our brave brothers and sisters that serve in the armed forces and security apparatus have far too often been used as personal attack dogs by our previous and current leaders. It is time we introduce independence, professionalism, honor and nationalism to this prestigious institutions. Educating officers is a start but the main problem is the politicians that have abused them for their own advantage for too long.

They use 80% of Ethiopia student scholarship to any country. Specially, the Asian country like India, China…etc. Also, the West in US and Europe. Then when they graduate it’s guarantee to be a leader in any zone in Ethiopia. That’s exception privilege for few. We are looking at history repeating it self.
