India Investment in Ethiopia May Double to $10 Billion by 2015, Meles Says
Investment by Indian companies in Ethiopia may more than double to $10 billion by 2015, helping the Horn of Africa nation end its dependence of food aid, Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi said.
About 400 Indian firms have invested $4.7 billion, while trade between the two nations stands at $660 million and should rise to $1 billion in 2015, Meles told a press conference today with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Enlightening info thank you T7.
By now we all should be aware of the smoke screen being thrown by Meles and the Woyane “traitor” Regime. All the talk about building a dam on the Nile all the big plans Meles seems to have every week since the revolution in north Africa started, seem to be a calculated move to divert the attention of those who have their eyes and ears on freedom movements. What very few people have access to the media in Ethiopia are watching and listening to Woyane propaganda based media.
Simply if this government was in the best interest of Ethiopia they would return the $8.5 BILLION they got caught stealing, use half of the money to build the Nile dam use the other half to build transmission lines that bring the electricity to the Ethiopian people. would not sell it when Ethiopians don’t even have enough for us.
AND NEEDLESS TO SAY STOP GIVING OUR LAND AWAY
. ISN’T THE SEA PORT AND NORTHERN BORDER YOU GAVE AWAY ENOUGH?
I don’t think the Ethiopian people will miss their chance for a better government through a new revolution and THE END OF DICTATORS IS UGLY AND ETHIOPIA BETTER PREPAIR FOR IT, THIS TIME.
Melse does not own a damn thing to negotiate on behalf of Ethiopians. He is a banda hell bent on destroying Ethiopia. He neither elected nor have a better future for the country which he land-locked. I just wished he drop dead. I don’t think I ever hated anyone the way I hated this devil man who’s destroying the country singlehandedly. The method he used for growth is really Unheard of. Indian and Chins use a devil like because they’ll feed their oversize population. We Ethiopians becoming a slave in our country he’ll cash the check. If you are so good why don’t you librate Tigrie and develop their economy with your brain? If you think you are so smart why did you Land-Locked Ethiopia? Well, You are deluded banda hated the country so much make it the lives of your existence destroying her. Your Logic is unheard of in the universe. You would selling fertile land for foreigners so they can grow a product to feed their oversize population. That is why they rushed coming back and forward its to good of a deal. You don’t care, you never have when you land locked the country, you’ll not this time as well.
we need more partners in our journey get raid of poverty for once and forever.
This dedebit grad has no chance in standing with sharp Britain colony trained Indians.
They will leave him naked. The sad thing is they will also leave Ethiopia bare naked unless it is stopped by courageous, smart and conscious Ethiopians.
t/f and truth i luv it when i see you guys crying
Am I reading comments from Ethiopians or Eritreans pretending to be Ethiopians?
Point-by-point, Meles proved the myth about Eritrea upheld in Ethiopia were dead wrong.
“ye eritra wedeboch, ethiopia kaltetekemechibet, ye gimel wuha metecha new yemihonut” Meles.
Used to hate him, but now LOVE him.
He is the best !! and I have forgotten the dead Eritrea.
people of Ethiopia attracting investors to our country is really a positive idea.Let us make good advantage out of it(work culture, technology transfer, etc). Don’t blame the government in this regard.we have to appreciate all the good things happening to our country. As far as the government is good enough to make the country benefit out of the investment.
Blind criticism is not fair at all.I do accept the Gov has a lot of problems like corruption, lack of democracy/transparency,human right violations. But there are also good aspects of this government which are very concrete and one can witness.
Ethiopia God bless you!!!
Developement does not come freely but begging !
Any developement is good for ethiopian future! I will stand beside the Devil and develope my country. I do not see the arguments here by some ppl. Or a so called crack-heads opposition who cry day and night evert time Indea or china to invest in ethiopia, these crack heads of DC oppostions never voice when it comes to begging the charity or Ngos. Their speciallity is to run in every anti ethiopia developement. I bet you will not back to distroy this Abay dam if they get a chance.
Abay dam is for all ethiopians, and nothing has to do with weyannes. It was in our fathers dram and that dream has come to reality, join the devil and build the dam, knowing that govt. Comes and govt. Goes. But the dam will stay for ever even after the devil weyannes gone.
Very interesting and yes ‘Yichallal”
It is the way to go Mr. prime minister we do not need to watch our virgin land while our people is starving. Do not worry what these naftagna left overs are saying your message is well received by those of us who want to see our country stand on it’s feet and feed it’s people without hand outs (aid) from the outside world. Build roads and dames particularly where they are needed the most like the Somali state. Reliable infrastructure is a good resepy for sound economical success.
Indians are good scholars. I wish they cultivate not just our fertile lands but also our minds. That will be the best compensation Ethiopians can get out of this deal. We will never conquer poverty as long as we remain illiterate.
