International media soon echoes this with out any proof. But many people suspect that most crimes are systematically committed by the Ethiopian government itself to tarnish the image of its rivals for political gain.

All this "elders help to release abducted foreigners" trash-talk is nothing but to hide the truth. If it were a genuine approach, it should have been the respective governments of the victims or other neutral body that should negotiate. Not hand-picked elders by Zenawi.

This whole thing shows no government or individuals are involved in the killing, wounding and abducting the foreigners other than woyanes themselves. The current terrorist attack against our tourists is direct attack on our sovereignty, Ethiopia's image has been tarnished by such bloody and barbaric attack. This attack will damage the tourism industry in Ethiopia. The role of Ethiopian government is to protect the country from inner and outer enemies, if our government cant guarantee the safety of its people it should hand power to a different political party which can give appropriate response. Our government has been extremely weak when it comes to Eritrea.

Kenya recently went to war in Somalia to fight the alshabab, why is Ethiopia quiet? Ethiopia has been bleeding by Eritrean sponsored rebel groups for the last 13 years, almost all notorious and barbaric groups such as the OLF and others are based in Eritrea. If Ethiopia's response towards Eritrea is soft Asmara will continue to destroy Ethiopia. The only language Asmara understands is fire power, If Ethiopia was in a position to respond on time Eritrean government would have been deterred from playing such a dirty game.

Ethiopia shouldn't waste its time and energy releasing statement from different government offices, releasing a statement from the Ministry of foreign affairs wouldn't bring the Eritrean government to its senses, the only language the Asmara regime understands is military response.
