I don’t see the water crisis, rather photos taken by some tourists.

I saw the pictues all. But what I saw is not water crisis. It is people fetching water from and using tap water. Hey Nazret… what is this and where did you get it?

Capital city: Addis Ababa
Population of 85 million
49 million lack safe water
75 million have no sanitation servies
Infant mortality of 8%
38% live in poverty

Water.org’s projects in Ethiopia are located in the regions of Tigray and Amhara. The need for water and sanitation in Ethiopia is severe. Only 42% of the population has access to an improved water supply, and only 11% of the population has access to adequate sanitation servies. In rural areas, these numbers drop even further
What a shame as a country and as a nation???????????????

This news resembles that of eliass kiftaff’s eritrean review, everyday none existing bla bla, to attract some loosers like him.
Well, we can’t deny there are some water shortages here and there, because of the high demand on every sector developmental projects. And thanks to the current govt, we are utilising our resources in way of digging wells and irrigations etc..

These photos do not represent the whole ethiopian society. They are all taken only from one region, Tigray. This makes the report not a serious report. It is obvious that there is a terrific clean water shortage in ethiopia though. This will continue as long as we have incapable and incompetent ministers and authorities. Borcham hula.

Nazret.com is upset when EPRDF won2010 Elections. Nazret; Ethiopianreview in the making. Thumbs down for nazret. “75million out of 80 are water insecure (no safe water)". This is pure comedy. Even if we assume non of the people living in the country side are not getting clean water, there are 20 million living in urban areas. are the 20ml drinking from roof catchment and sewage? I’m a witness to my own village in Ethiopia, we have been getting clean water since 1997. I’ve been lucky to tour different areas of my country and I didn’t see people drinking unsafe water even their cattle are drinking in organized water-pans. Gone are the days of drinking un-safe water, darkness and bad health facilities.

Oh no. This is not the kind of news Woyane benefactors want to hear or see. They want their rosy land, farm and resources sell to Saudi Arabia and foreigners by robbing Ethiopians.

EPRDF’s failed land policy is driving locals into starvation and more problems. Yet EPRDF is deaf to hear their cries.

EPRDF’s cruelty to Ethiopia and Ethiopians is beyond anyone’s belief.

The only solution is to GET RID of this 21 years old wicked, stone hearted and obsolete out of touch Woyane’ regime like in Madagascar, Yemen, Egypt, Tunisia and Libya.

If you believe there is such a huge scarcity of water in Ethiopia, go to Ethiopia and invest all your money to alleviate it. What you do here by posting this is just exaggerating on the problem and making money and popularity through advertisement as you always did. Tell us what should be done or how we can solve any problem you broadcast through your website. Please don’t be a pessimist. Not only show us the problems but also lead towards the solution.

not true at all…
refer to page 9 of the above link, it shows that access to clean water in Ethiopia is 68.5 %. and not 5 or 6% as the report suggests…
they are fuckin liers. they dont actually care about bringing an issue to light. They just want to make a beggar out of Ethiopians and feed their gargangeous aid industry.

I had and still have two important wishes.

1. To see Egypt suffer for years to come worst than they did to us for long time in the past. It is happening right now and the worst yet to come.

2. To stop by any means the English leading western racists that are intentionally damaging the Ethiopian image with full of lies including with the things don’t belong to Ethiopia, but others.

Look what this ignorant for sure an English or descendents of the English from USA, Canada or Australia laying about everything as worst as possible to damage the Ethiopian image.

The truth is that when it comes to water. Ethiopia owns 9 measure rivers and Tenth thousands permanent and seasonal tributaries. Ethiopia has more than 150 natural Lakes which only the Lake Tana fresh water is more than the Entire fresh water capacity England has Including from rivers, lakes and any water resource that little country where some Evil individuals are living in has.

-Up to 95% Nile water in Egypt comes from Ethiopia. 99% Egypt’s entire water sources come from the Nile. I’m sure; this bastard would put Egypt in better position than Ethiopia which is the water tower of Africa. Because everything they do and behave has nothing to do with the facts and solutions but intentionally damaging the nation image which we Ethiopians are ignoring and beating it by doing our things by our self having countries like China, Japan, India, Germany, Korea, France, Italy and the likes with us. But not the English. They are the known nr.1 obstacles not even a single solution for a second.

-99% Turkana Lake in Kenya which is the biggest lake in the desert worldwide comes from Ethiopia. Which is Omo River.
-Awash is another big river in Ethiopia/AFRICA.
-Wabi shenbele and Juba the only water resources in Somalia are coming from the Ethiopian Highlands. For Instance wabi shebe in Ethiopia has 1050 km while in Somalia only 130 km. The water is 100% from Ethiopia.
- Ethiopia has one of the highest underground water reserves, too. When you dig the ground and reach the water, you don’t need to use Pump. Because of its enormous amount, the water comes out by itself with high pressure.
The Ethiopian highland rainfall/year is between 1700-3800mm. 85% Ethiopian population live in the High or sub highland.

Yet, look this ignorant racist is talking about 75 million Ethiopian being with shortage of water. His is ignorant and doing this intentionally to damage the Ethiopian image which is the English media war against Ethiopia for 28+ years now.

He also vomited his racist sick brain saying Ethiopian per capital income is $ 100. This is a total lie. Even according to World Bank it is almost $400 which we Ethiopian know WB/IMF/CIA or the likes figures are not telling the fact but political motivated. Meaning the actual figure is much more than $400.

I hope and I’m sure, soon, these kind bastards will be stopped from coming in to Ethiopia. Or if they lie about as usual intentionally to damage the nation Image, they will be taken to court. No one will stay quite watching as it is happening till know while we know these criminals are intentionally doing this to damage the image motivated by hate or jealousy.

Let them go to hell. Their time is over since 9/11. Who are they after all talking or writing about the nation and people don’t belong to them. They must be stopped including with confrontation by any means. Their behaviors shows they have no respect for us and we must not respect them. Treat them the way they treat us.

This is dishearting and dissapointing news…especially since I remember reading a few years ago how Ethiopia made so many advancements toward’s improving it’s water infrastucutre to the rural and poor..If Ethiopia is going through this development boom like I’ve been reading lately you would think clean water to the general public would be a priority? If these stats are true..Shame on the Ethiopian govenment neglecting so many of it’s people most simple and basic neeed…a govenrment that cant provide something as simple but urgent as clean water to it’s people is much of an government.
