These people are not engaging with Ethiopia in a cat and mouse game only through talk while the situation remains the same or gets worse but with hard and good work in the right direction to bring the radical and sustainable change in the country.

Everyone knows 30 years ago China as well as Korea were not better than what is Ethiopia today. They know how to be poor, weak, backward and so on. They also know what kind impact could have some foreigners that are coming in the country in the name of Charity, NGO and so on if they are not controlled and do things what the government wants but instead allowing them to do what they want/like in the country doesn't belong to them. They also know how they defeated poverty, backwardness and all illness they had and became the centre of human development in the 21-century.

We are sure, with these nations friendly approach, Genuine support, co-operation and respect, Ethiopia will need about 15-20 years to reach to the level what Japan, China, Korea and others are today. There is no doubt these nations and others will stand very closely with Ethiopia and will support her with everything they can and Ethiopians are ready and capable of using the best way the opportunities we are getting from these nations.

No Charity, NGO and the likes but trade and co-operation based on respect and understanding is what Ethiopia needs. So, we reject totally the English way of international relation that kept us the way we have been for the last 50+ years and we suffer a lot as a result including they are being the cause of the problem and also engaging with damaging the Ethiopian image as worst as possible with no respect what so ever to the people as if they are the worst racist towards black people. This is a good news for all of us, diaspora or not. but you seem particularily angry with the poor diaspora. Unlike you, though, the gov't courts the diaspora for many reasons. Besides, not all diasporas are like what you brand them to be. Most of them are hardworking & law- abiding fellows.

Blindly opposing every initiative undertaken by the gov't ( as some do on this forum) is not healthy and not for good for the countyr to move forward to deal with with its many endevours.

The regime in power for 21 years is the main obstacle to industrialisation in ethiopia and the main reason of poverty. The list of the harms the regime is doing to ethiopia is very long. You have the ethnic apartheid policy designed to better control ethiopians by the 5% minority ruling ethnic group. You have this preference of ideology and ethnic group to skill and qualification when employing people. You have this forcing of the educated and patriotic ethiopian class to migration due to political repression,corruption and the ethnic ideology of the regime resulting the country ruled by semi-illiterates. I read in the paper on Oct. 26 from addis ababa to New York. I cut out the article and I showed to friends. I congratulate her for hard work. She taught herself shoe making and designing. 50 percent of the material she used is recycled. She cares the environment. She is green entrepreneur. She will open shops in Canada, Austria, Switzerland, and Brooklyn, N.Y. Great Job. Keep Up. I hope the government encourage other local entrepreneur by giving incentives or they should only pay taxes after three years of opening their businesses.
