QUESTION: Ethiopia?
MS. NULAND: Yeah.
QUESTION: The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom says the United States needs to do more to convince the new government in Addis to respect religious freedoms for Muslims in Ethiopia. Are you - have you seen that? Are you doing anything about that with the new government?
MS. NULAND: I hadn't seen that particular statement, Scott, but you know that we've been extremely straightforward about our ongoing humanitarian - sorry, human rights questions with regard to the way Ethiopia develops. When the Secretary was there, she raised these issues, and we have been clear from this podium. So in the context of new leadership, we are renewing our hope that Ethiopia will continue to improve human rights standards for all inside the countr

I have seen many that there is no philosophy of Human Right! Rather Ethiopia should give freedom of religion if there is any problem in this area. But I don't see that government has taken any religion freedom.
What I know is that there is arbitrary detaintion by gov't e.g. Junedin's wife and journalist.
I don't buy also Muslims philosophy to kill people and burn Christian houses, particularly the southern part of the country. I also don't but a retribution action of Christian against Muslim. Here, true gov't have a duty to implement rule of law impartially.
Religion is your personal affairs to follow whatever you like or leave it at all. Everyone has a right to live!
