Very good news. We live now in a globalized economy. India, Philippines, Nepal, Bangladesh and others all have workers working in the Gulf Region. Not only maids but professionals too like Doctors, Engineers and nurses. Dubai business now mainly is moved by Indian Millionairs that went there as workers and built their fortune. I do not see why we Ethiopians can't do the same.
I would like to inform the Government that one tactic that employers use to intimidate their foreign workers is that they demand their Passports and won't give it back to them. Since these are registered workers at the Embassy, the Embassy should be gracious enough to help them get another copy of a Passport. Also there should be a clause in the agreement that allows for Ethiopian workers to change jobs that they deem better giving their bosses reasonable time to find another worker.
It would be nice also to see Ethiopian Bank branches open all over The Gulf, good for business and good for Ethiopians.

Second, Do you know China and India actually have many domestic workers in other countries too with their economy being the way it is? So this has been there, even east Europeans go to west to do similar, or closer jobs. This is human behavior to search for job. Or else why don't you start creating job for your sisters, other than remotely commenting?

The Government can issue permits to the Recruiting Agencies that have a good record. But after they are gone, it is the Arab Country jurisdiction that rules.
Dubai refused to allow ladies from Uzbekistan because they found out that they became prostitutes. Dubai would have done the same with the Ethiopian women if they had proof of the same. Ethiopian women and men are really hard workers and will not steal from their jobs like others do. Also the agreement includes drivers too and that will be a good opportunity for them to start.
If you think working outside Ethiopia is wrong then let us all go back including you and sit in a coffee shop in Addis and see if money will rain from the sky.

2. The new agreement between hiring nations like India or Philippines will enable to control and enforce rules which will protect the persons to be hired in Ethiopia and abroad.
