Nation building is a no jock business, the day this central government collapses it might not be easy to re-centralize power, there is no conducive situation like Eritrea to usher a protracted failed state. There is no guaranty there will be a central power in Asmara ones this power is removed unwilling.

Let alone a fake state like Eritrea, we know it was not easy even with better countries in history and nationhood like Sierra Leone, Liberia or Somalia ... a coup d'etat in Mali brought the nation to a break down till France sacrificed.

The man at the center of the fake state already knows there will be turmoil and he will be accountable the day he left power unless he goes to KSA. It is bleak in all sides because building a nation sate is not easy, it takes time and human sacrifice. I don't think Eritrea as a state have paid 0.1% of what is needed to build a nation state that can stand up by itself even after a violent change of government.

Many Eritreans thought nation building was an easy thing, they are now just slightly waking up to the realities, but there are more harder times to come. I am not saying this as a wish but as realities.

I think you are comparing apple to orange just to support your case. The reality is Djibouti was under France’s control when it regained its independence. Ethiopia never had been part of the play except being a third party observant. In fact I’d argue, Djibouti never been annexed to Ethiopia or never been part of it. The French was there since 1829 to benefit from Djibouti’s strategic location. You are simply failed to see the fact or deliberately twisting the truth. Ethiopia never put a dime to build Djibouti. The Rail road was designed to meet Ethiopia’s trade expansion and still under Ethiopia’s soul control. In contrast Ethiopia spent billions to build many of Eritrea’s infrastructures particularly the Assab and Massawa ports.

As you can understand for many Ethiopians, the most exasperating part from the whole deal was not the independence of Eritrea. In fact I say it was a blessing in disguise for not only to bring peace but for betterment of both people. The essential issue here is when Eritrea’s independence happened; Ethiopia never had the right representation. If there was, it never had to lose its rightful port, specially the port it built from the ground. That by itself is a 6 billion USD economic disadvantage every year. Don’t take my word but go ahead and see independent studies from UN, the Brooking Institution and EU. At the time, it was a premeditated move orchestrated by Woyane and Shabea to disintegrate Ethiopia and benefit from its demise. Any government with right mind and intention would voluntarily turn its sovereign nation in to land locked and argued in front of the world. 51 years ago yeasterday Our self declared Brothers played football as one of us and we won the cup together, 30 years ago we made it togehter to participate the cup.
