Corrupt officials in the sports federation and other sectors of the government have tried to bribe the soccer players by promising them that if they win the african cup that the players will be given money as much as 100,000 birr/dollar each.

Ethiopia football federation didn't organize those who misbehave. The individual would be accountable for any conduct and the penalty shouldn't be imposed on the team rather on those slim checks.

Are you kidding me Caf? Instead of fining, CAF should have rewarded our colorful, patriotic and passionate fans for creating an atmosphere of festivity for the first time since the start of this tournament. From the highlights I watched, almost in all of the other games played so far, the stadiums were empty and quiet cold. I agree that some of our frustrated and distraught fans have resorted to vuvuzela and water bottle throwing to express their displeasure towards the referee's dismissal decision and the opponent players celebration, but the federation could have made its point heard by simply writing a formal warning letter. I urge the Federation to show maximum restraint towards our passionate fans and to stop threatening to ban them. Banning the fans from supporting the team will be a disservice to the tournament and a serious violation of the host country's, participating teams' and spectators' right to gain benefit from each other. If CAF bans all our fans, it will be considered no less than fixing a game in favor of the other teams.

With that said, I plead to my beautiful people supporting our team to stop pelting the pitch. Be a good and responsible ambassadors to our country and people like the players.

No, Jamal Tassew did nothing to save the ball, he went out for the man, Chisamba was not a threat at all, by the time the collision took place the ball was on its way out, even if it is a threat better to try for the ball and also concede a goal and play for better than this. He harmed the team, the game, the spirit. Dude think about it, think how we would have played. I don't want to be critical, this is football but it is true Chisamba looks dangerous and need a challenge from Jamal but this is too much and embarrassing, and it is not his first time leading the team to play with 10 men.
