Attempt to deport Ethiopian terror link man fails
Home Secretary Theresa May has failed in a bid to deport a 33-year-old Ethiopian who had "thrown in his lot" with Islamist extremists "committed to terrorism".
The Court of Appeal said there was a risk that the man - who was not named in a ruling - might be subjected to "ill treatment" if returned to Ethiopia.
Three appeal judges overturned a ruling by the Special Immigration Appeals Commission (Siac) - which had upheld Mrs May's decision to deport the man, who has a wife and children in the UK.
They said Siac had "erred" in ruling that assurances given by the Ethiopian government were "sufficient" to prevent the man being "subjected to ill treatment" contrary to human rights legislation.
Lord Justice Jackson - the most senior of the three appeal judges - said he had reached his decision with "little enthusiasm".
He is a terrorist for crying out loud! Why do you worry about a terrorist any way? They are ruthless killers who function with out any rule of engagment.
You see the proof. Human rights works. But should Br intervene on an internal affairs of Et ?
Stop right there do you think my way or no way is fair regardless what really happend? Think about it. Do you accept the so called my only interest come first no matter what I’m rich and powerful take it as is how do you feel about?
Welll, good riddance these are Wayane agents.
Mine and yours is the same idea over this gist.
Two important questions, first the weight between protecting the individual rights against torture and ill treatment vs national security and second issue is the trustworthiness of Ethiopia’s assurance of protecting the individuals right in the eyes of the court.
This kind of case would have been very easy to deport if it was the US court than that of European courts who are scared of the ECHR.
No more genocide!
No more divisive woyane actions!
No more Islam vs Christian!
No more Amara vs Oromo vs Ogaden!
No more Woyane divide and rule!
kick them back to where they come from!
Ethiopia for Ethiopians ONLY!
Kick Tgre back to tgray region.
All regions should have all the power for self rule!!!
No more woyane sucking our resources.
No more people displacement from their ancestoral place.
I call on HMD to kick away all TPLFites from the Government, let them stay in their tgray region, they are not Ethiopians!
Woyane has destroyed ETHIOPIA beyond repair.
Angry Ethiopian !!
None of the associates sounds to be Muslims, I as far as I am concerned he could be an X Woyane. Regardless, I applaud the UK government and its courts for not throwing the man to the wolves.
That shows UK or any civilized country don’t trust Woyane’s kangaroo courts. If he did the crime and there is enough proof the individual can be tried in London. But as always the case, there is no proof just a smoke screen by gangs at Arat Kilo to get a hold of someone they don’t like
Just a single question:
When TPLF think that other ethnic group also deserve to be free from Jails?
(1)"The appellant has been associating with the following men: Dawit Semeneh, Joseph Kebide, Nathan Oqubay, Zulgai Popal, Elias Girma Eyassu, Bilal Berjawi, Mohammed Sakr, and Walla Eldin Rahman,” said Lord Justice Jackson.
(2)siac saidit did this “in the interest of public secruity". In other words, they ar ready to set free a poisonous serpent amidst the Ethiopian public taking it out from the British public. What an inconsiderate and irresponsible institute!! Shamw shameeeeeee
No one, I guess, can understand what you loser are asking as you have put your question in a poor English. Use ‘does’ between your ‘when’and ‘TPLF’. You uncoached, brute!!
It is not the first time that the Home Secretary Theresa May has lost her attempt to deport the terrorists to their countries. The followings are few of them:
1) She has lost her attempt to deport the radical cleric Abu Qatada to Jordan, where he faces trial on terror charges the reason of not his deportation was torture could be used against him by the Jordanian authorities.
2) Abid Naser and Ahmed Faraz Khan, two known members of Al-Qaeda, were found to pose a serious threat to the National Security of the UK following their involvement of proposes bombings in Manchester. The two individuals were among suspects which were arrested in Manchester, Liverpool and Lancashire in 2009 following an extensive operation led by MI5.
They were to be deported from the UK back to Pakistan but were able to successfully argue their rights under the Human Rights Act as there was the potential that they could be tortured on their return.
3)At least eleven foreign-born terrorists who should have been deported from Britain after finishing prison terms are still walking the streets. The list is known to include Siraj Ali, who aided the failed July 21 suicide bomb plotters and was jailed for nine years.Ali is the foster brother of Yassin Omar, the failed Warren Street bomber, and housed Muktar Ibrahim, another of the would-be bombers, while the devices were being made in a council flat a floor below.
He is using taxpayer-funded legal advice to fight deportation to Eritrea.
Turn from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it.
Do you think that a naïve person, who are misunderstood by a brainy person like you, also affronted with “brute"?
Time to make filed the cases of Agazi Bandits and Tigre Mafiosis infront UK ,US and even the ICC Judicial systems for the Crime Of Genocide comitted in the country .And also on the illegal Business for the looting of the peoples wealth .Demanding the arest and deport of the Agazi Goat Herder Bandits ,the Evil Widow ,the TPLF Criminals such as the Thugs ,the Cadres and Bandas .
