Hundreds Die as Egyptian Forces Attack Islamist Protesters
CAIRO — Egyptian security officers stormed two encampments packed with supporters of the ousted president, Mohamed Morsi, on Wednesday in a scorched-earth assault that killed hundreds, set off a violent backlash across Egypt and underscored the new government’s determination to crush the Islamists who dominated two years of free elections.
The attack, the third mass killing of Islamist demonstrators since the military ousted Mr. Morsi six weeks ago, followed a series of government threats. But the scale — lasting more than 12 hours, with armored vehicles, bulldozers, tear gas, birdshot, live ammunition and snipers — and the ferocity far exceeded the Interior Ministry’s promises of a gradual and measured dispersal.
Well “Fools and Idiots"…. Now do you understand that democracy can’t be achieved in one revolution, in one day…???!!!????
Now do you understand what the “Arab Spring” is all about and what the results are…??????
No one expects you to understand. PMMZ aptly coined the phrase “Fools and Idiots". Fools and Idiots indeed!!!
Very sad! And the irony of all this is, Hosni Mubarak the ousted Egyptian president from the start of the Arab spring is still alive. Will he feel vindicated?
Well, the Arab spring was nothing but a fiasco. Which from the beginning was hi jacked by the Muslim extremists. And as we saw every where in the Arab world, the people who aspired freedom and democracy, instead got chaos, unrest, and massacre.
As long as the Muslim extremists are in the picture, their will never be peaceful transition to democracy in the Arab world.
The Muslim brotherhood in Egypt only want to have Islamic govt. And the people of Egypt were hoping to see a democratic govt free of theochracy and aristocracy.
Religion and politics is like water and oil. Cannot mix.
a very Sad day in Egypt!
Well it’s really sad that people are dying. But on the other hand I still wish that the unrest continues for sometime until we finish the dam….Please don’t take me wrong. It comes from a strong desire to see a better Ethiopia.
Egypt should do the following
Add the first amendment of the United States to their constitution. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
1) add the above to their constitution. change the word “congress” in the above quote into something suitable.
2) call for state of emergency
3) have a funeral for those who lost their lives today.
4) have a closed door dialogue between the parties involved.(this sounds futile but )
5) Release Mohamed Morsi or charge him with something. explain to the people what he did and have evidence.
6) bring the people who burned the churches and destroyed pubic property in to face justice.
7) have an election(with all parties involved)
8) try to improve your economy
9) stop making Israel the escape goat for all your problems. they could be your best friends Egypt please get that.
OMG, plz we should pray for EGYPTIAN INNOCENT PPL.

Mind you if it happened in Ethiopia; how many international human advocates and rotten opposition get in bed.
thanks God we have a strong and civilized government.
Long Live Ethiopia!
Well said Adgi , the
same as your looter dead master and his Agazis who hijacked the 2005 election ,like the then Derg Juntas who in 1974 also did steal the Ethiopian People’s Revolution .This is the risk that could encounter any revolution being stolen by opportunist despots who finish by subtituing their own dictatorship . By the way Lazy Observer(A very dedicated Nickname ,better for you that you add Fool and Idiot your two magic words…LOL!!!) ,who the hell can be Fool and Idiot ,a moron guy like you and your Thuggy Bros supposing fooling peoples with your so called “FIASCO” of the Arab Spring ,advocating the case of an evil Ethno Mafia Tyrannical Regime ,or patriots standing for the foundemental rights of the Ethiopian Peoples .
The punishment of those who wage war against Christian is only this. They deserved to feel and endure what they made the Egyptian Christians feel. Jihadists in Ethiopia also you better watch out! When the time comes we will kill and eat you all!!!
Who cares?..aren’t these Mursi brotherhood who talk harsh about the GRD and braged about how to destroy it??..Humm.. God is great!!..alah Akbar! it sounds time for GOD to act!!…
The coined phrase “fools and idiots” applies to those who believe they can rule by the gun. It is a no no. Probably the chief of the fools and idiots, the who knows how how died shit head “PMMZ” would tell you if he was still alive, that.. you can not rule by force. Seems like your dead and rotting “PMMZ” did not learn from the Derg nor from countless recorded events in history.
Having said that.. and with no love for the so called Islamists across the glob, it is important to understand what pushed the “Arab Spring". My suggestion is not to mix your religious hate with what the reality on the ground is. To begin with, one who lives by the gun can not be considered democratic. One who removes a democratically elected leader by force is not itself legitimate. The current Egypt leadership is a junta. It is more of a dictatorship. It is a bunch of murdering dogs just like the Tplf/Eprdf. A government, no matter who, what or why.. that shoots at unarmed citizens for whatever reason is.. for lack of a better word, barbaric, unjust and most of all unworthy to lead. This puts the Egyptian A-Hole Generals in the same category as “PMMZ” and his crooked TPLF.. just saying and able to say because I live in a democratic society. Don’t you all wish… Egypt, Ethiopia and bunch of other scummer govts were?
JIHADISTS AND NO GOOD VOCAL DIASPORA

YOUR BACKER EGYPT COULDNT SUSTAIN ITSELF MUCH LESS SUPPORTING YOUR SORRY RENEGADE ASS.THE JIHDISTS AND THE EXTREMISTS ALLIED THEMSELVES FOR EVIL PURPOSE THE FORMER FOR MONEY AND AHE LATER FOR POWER. IN YOUR DREAMS. MY COUNTRY WILL NEVER PASS THROUGH THIS EXPERIENCE BECAUSE OF YOU. HANDFULL FOOLS AND IDIOTS.
Hagere Ethiopia, you’re still in hallucination. Get real dude! When you said bulshit sucks in the other thread, you must be smelling your own sh!t. As one can tell, you seem sh!ting all over the place picking and droping unrelated issues.
Btw, I like your new user name. Ra fits you well.
I remember you back home drunk like a skunk, leaving the bar carelessly shouting Raaaa!
and this is what the elias kifle and friends are dreaming each night and day for ethiopia. i am sure elias is salivating all over his mouth while watching this video, where men, women and children are massacred, wishing it was in Addis. for him what matters the most is the removal of the government so one day he will go back to addis and sip his machiatto sitting at bole mini. and it matters little whether it happens as the result of the current islamic movement or a major earthquake. this is the difference between the likes of elias and many ethiopians who want change in ethiopia but do not want a bloodshed which can lead the country into disintegration and government that is worse than it has now…and they are usually labled weyane or banda by the likes of elias.
Fist of all, it sad to see the Egyptian people going through this tragedy. I just wonder if the Egyptian people will learn a valueable lessons from this bloodshed, and refrain from suporting or finacing anti peace elements to ditablize Ethiopia. In addition, I wonder if Morsi’s government was still encharge of Egypt, this bloodshed might be happening in Ethiopia. However, it sad to see the children of Egypt to through this tram, because we know what it feels like, and may God help them to have peace in their heart, Amen.
God bless the world!
Please refer to paragraph 3 on my blog….
What goes around comes around. I wish this didn’t happen to the innocent people who are pushed in to this driven by emotion but as to the Egyptian government, this is a painful lesson to learn how ugly it is when your own people stand against your own. For generations, Egypt had the fool side of us (Ethiopians) and helped us slaughter eachother. The resultant effect of that was a weak Ethiopia who never dared to think about using Nile.
Back to my beginning…what goes around comes around!!!
why you guys think like it never happened in ethiopia, it did happened still happening now.
You wrote “the people who aspired freedom and democracy, instead got chaos, unrest, and massacre”
The saddest thing is if people would go out and protest againest EPRDF the same thing would happen to them. So don’t act like you are all sad. You are supporting blood sucking killers. layakush tategne
