Ethiopia’s Eshetu wins Mandela Day Marathon
Ethiopia’s Bekele Eshetu has won the men's category, while Zimbabwean Chiyedza Chokore has won the women's category of the annual Mandela Day Marathon. Both are R40 000 richer.
The race started at Manaye Hall in Imbali Township in Pietermaritzburg where former President Nelson Mandela delivered his last speech before his arrest in August 1962.
It ended at the Mandela Capture Site just outside Howick where Madiba was arrested.
Beyond the Victory ,even the symbol and the the place are historically GREAT .The same as
the 1960 Victory in Rome of the GREAT Abebe Bikila !!!!!
Dear Assta B. Gettu:
What exactly do you mean when you said, “almost everything"?
I am afraid, it is not only hunger that we are done with. As a people and country, we have tens of things to wage a war against and win the battle.
Please do not simplify the deep trouble we are in. That certainly does not help anyone.
you should understand Assta’s comment contextually. Now and then you should pat yourself on the back and feel good. His lines were meant just to be that.
