Ethiopian Airlines to serve Singapore via Bangkok
Ethiopian Airlines plans to launch three weekly flights to Singapore via Bangkok, Thailand beginning December 3, 2013. The airline said the new flights to Singapore will be operated with Ethiopian Boeing 767-300 aircraft with 24 seats in Ethiopian Cloud Nine Business Class and 211 seats in Economy class.
Mr. Tewolde Gebremariam, Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian said: "Singapore is a major and preferred gateway to Asia and Australia. That is why we have decided to make Singapore our main strategic point of access to the Oceania market and its huge Ethiopian/African Diaspora community by availing excellent connectivity options through our code-share agreement with fellow Star Alliance member, Singapore Airlines. Our flights to Singapore will also greatly contribute to the strengthening of trade, investment and tourism ties between a booming Africa and a highly developed, innovative and business-friendly Singapore."
Ethiopian will be the first East African carrier to start services to Singapore, which will become the airline's 78th international destination. Earlier plans to open routes to Manila, Philippines and Vietnam have been temporarily suspended.
Ethiopian Airlines is Africa's fastest growing and one of the largest in the continent. It flies to more destinations in Africa than any other airline in the world.
Way to go EAL!
Singapore and Bangkok are two of my future destinations, among those great far east cities I’ve never visited. Ethiopian will make it easy planning and finance wise via Addis.
THE SKY IS THE LIMIT!!
Indeed, THE SKY IS THE LIMIT!!!
Praise the Lord!
Ethiopian flying to greater lengths to please!
Indeed, we can fly high even to the stars!
The article says: “Ethiopian Airlines is Africa’s fastest growing and one of the largest in the continent. It flies to more destinations in Africa than any other airline in the world.”
No doubt the Ethiopian Airlines has captured the attentions of the world: the food served in the Ethiopian airplanes is the best; the stewardesses, showing their seductive legs, bright eyes, smiling faces, sweet voices, polite manners, and speaking fluent English, are simply the magnets and the mesmerizers of the Ethiopian Airlines flight passengers. Even though their wages are too low, the extraordinary services these Ethiopian flight attendants bring to the Ethiopian Airlines industries are too high, very demanding, and extremely essentials.
Therefore, let the world of Oceania, not just the continent of Africa, enjoy our Ethiopian Airlines and appreciate the services our pilot crews and our stewardesses provide in a daily or weekly basis!
Singapore. Excellent news. That said its impossible not contemplating The Concept of Irony, with Continual Reference to Eritrea aka Sing-A-P000R.
This is crucial for the large number of East Africans residing in New zealand and Australia. Great news, indeed.
The routes to Manila, Philippines and Vietnam are very important too. Those nations are really booming for the last 15-20 years.
Hi Addis Zemen, I am not sure about Singapore, but Bangkok and the whole Thailand is like a dream. you go to KO Samui or phuket in the south, you are in heaven… the sea is like in Hawai and the people are friendly, and the food is to die for. I have been there 3x. I strongly recommend you Thailand, the land of smile as they call it.
Singapore will be the stepping stone for the next expansion… Australia.
That is the only continent remaining to conquer for ETHIOPIAN!
Soon we will be in Sydney and Melbourne
Working out the Blue Nile dam with Egypt and Sudan paves the way to joint Macro economic development strategy. This a good beginning if the three countries awake today when unity is more important than conflict. This reparian states depend more on other things; they can also use a route to the Red Sea. Alas! Africa can be on the stepping ground to get of poverty. The next step could be common currency. That will bury neocolonialism. What a wonderful vision!!!!
News about the Sudan, Egypt, and Ethiopia to jointly develop the Blue Nile is commendable and exciting for all peoples and the reparian countrries. This can pave the way to more macro economic development like using the route to the Red Sea. If this develoment gets on the way, there can the vision of using the same currency. Alas!!! Africa might be awakening!!!
