Ethiopia - Meles Zenawi in G8 Summit

The leaders of the world's richest eight nations have pledged to spend $60bn fighting Aids and other killer diseases in Africa.

G8 leaders, who are meeting on the final day of GM Summit 2007 in the German resort of Heiligendamm, also said they would honour aid vows made at a previous meeting held in Gleneagles, Scotland, in 2005.

Half of the $60bn earmarked to fight AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis would come from the US.

"We are aware of our responsibilities and will fulfill our obligations," German Chancellor Angela Merkel, hosting G8 leaders, told journalists on Friday morning.

What a joke !And so what Zenawi came to
the Summit ;what does really bring to Africa.
What’s the change for the continent !!
Africa problem for G8 countries have none
interests. All these so called African leaders
beginning by tyrant Zenawi instead of waisting
money for an unnecessary summit ,they should
use the money on health and education for
their own peoples .Whatever TPLF thugs are
boasting on this blog ,nobody has heard about
Zenawi .Being a beggar country is not a
honour for Ethiopia even for the whole
of Africa .If Africans are poors is simply
their goods and money are stolen by their
own leaders .If Zenawi wants the best things
for the Ethiopian Peoples ,first of all
returning back the money that he ,his
own family and the tigrean mafias have
taken from the country .And secondly returning
back the power to the peoples .

All these so called the richest nations owes Africans, a lot more than they are giving. They have commited war crimes during colonial times and riped our natural resorces almost for nothing, they exactly know what they did to Africa. Compare to what they have done to us, this is minsqule and microscopic in what they give to Africa period. You idiotic mind boggling morons talking about begging, eat shit and die, you have no brain and no purposse in life. You are by far to disgraceful to call your self Ethiopians or Africans, drop dead in hart bit. You do not even know your own histry to ignorant to comprihend, read, understand and analize. History is and will judge Meles’s despot action not a bunch of photos. You think having a picture with world leaders make Meles a democrat? Not by any means.

You see, Ethiopia is and will remain as a strategic interest to the wealthy nation. Meles is the G8 meeting not because he is a good guy it’s rather because he is leading a starving second most popoulus nation in Africa.

Here is what the world(in the eyes of the Europeans) says about the credential of Meles:

\\\"I can see all those Kinijit and their wretched diaspora turning green with envy.\\\”

Envy? Envy of a cheat beggar? You must be dumb! You know why he is there? Because, he has to explain why the pot at Arat Kilo can never become full despite the uninterrupted pumping of their money into it for the last 16 years. He would not be there if he had done something good to his country that would pull it out of poverty. He will never stop begging, otherwise he would contract leprosy. Ki Ki Ki ….

having a picture or being in the G8 conference is not a determinant factor of being successful. To me success is having all your people on your side as well as develop a country by your own effort rather than a money thrown to you from rich countries for serving them. Time will come that the bosses throw Meles in the garbage. Untill then have fun Melles.

Being in the picture with bunch of beggars and donors in nothing to be proud of. African leader could feed and take care of their people and even do much more if they were not too greedy and thieves. You will always find Meles and Woyanes as a no 1 beggars where ever there is money to be begged. Ethiopia needs a government that has pride.

First of all Meles has to give back the land that was confiscated by Mengistu from the hard working Ethiopians and let them use it to take care of their people and country.

Hi Prosperity;

Personaly I hate no body and have nothing againist innocent Ethiopians regardless of their ethnic group, EXCEPT Meles and his cohorts.

Meles and Mingestu are both same when it comes Ideology, both are COMMUNIST.

Meles is worst than Mingestu, beacuse he promotes his soldiers the more rape and kiling they commit.

During Mingestu if soldier commits crime like rape, there was consequence and punishment, but not the present day Ethiopia.

Today, Meles Soldiers kill inocent people and display them in the city centres. and the do not allow appropriate burial.

That wasn’t the case, atleast where I am from, Ogadenia.

The rich nations wanted to show off that they are helping the poorest of the poorest. The other African leaders were invited because they represent change and hope in Africa. But poor Meles was invited only because his brutal regime is terrorising and impoverishing the people of Ethiopia and the organizers of the G-8 Summit wanted to have somebody to be among them representing the poorest of the poorest and there is no one better than Meles in that because he represents real poverty. The situations in Ethiopia is going from bad to worse under terrorist TPLF rule and poverty and disease are increasing at an alarming rate in the country. The rich nations know very well that dictator Meles is directly responsible for the dire situation in the country. However, they still wanted to use him as the showcase for poverty in Africa in their effort to raise funds. If you want to raise money for the poor, you have to have the poor to appeal to the moral obligations of the donors so that they can poke into their purse or write a check. Otherwise, who else is there in the entire world to represent abject and untold poverty than Meles and his terrorist rule? Or else you have to show the clips of the 1984 famine in Tigray or elsewhere to raise money.

Meles is standing deliberately next to Tony Blair to pretend that he still has a good relation with him. The fact is Blair snubbed and repudiated Meles in his recent visit to Africa. Meles is simply shadowing Blair to no avail. Blair has already gotten his message across. No shadowing after Blair, no boot licking by Meles can change that. The same is true for Angela Merkel.

Why are Weyanes calling Isaias´s name over and over again? Is that because he would never go to the wests and kiss their a$$´s. Yo they come to him first, this is how wedi Afom did. If I was an Ethiopian I will be ashamed to be proud because my PM is by G8 to be called from the poorest cauntry, the begger etc..And while the wests try to help the poor people, he brags with his cheap sun glass, what a shame. However, Ethiopia has a bad chance to get help from the wests as long the murder is on the chair because the help allowance don´t allow to help murders like Meles. Germany tried to hide his presence by saying he is only here because Ethiopia holds the chairmanship of NEPAD. What a shame! But don´t warry peace loving Ethiopians his end is already decided by Isaias!

Speaking of whole world, it concern developed, developing, and under developed countries. Ethiopia being one of the under developed country in the world yet the third populous nation in Africa has business in G8 Summit. It might be for aid for development, and aid for humanitarian issues.

Hence Mr. Meles happen to be the president of Ethiopia to attend this important Summit.

Look at Meles he is front and center of the G-8 leaders picture; they know a wise man when they see one and acknowledge it with respect. You are a pride of Africa in general and Ethiopia in particular. You are the are the one who is endowed with a superior ability and wit to create miracles in a very unlikely country in Africa. A picture is worth a thousand words, well done. Never become a cult of personality like Haile Selassie; humility is wisdom and pride is ignorance.

The PM has really earned a lot of respect. i guess we have to give him his due respect. He is certainly a very astute potician. Meles is one of the few non rich leaders invited. That speaks volumes.

You have two choice about this short bald man
1.if you see what he can see about Ethiopians potential.
Emuuuupuah love him
2. If you are blinded, and mentalily challenged
Aheiiikkkkk entuf hate him
the most i like about him,he has shown the world,he can bring change to ethiopia with in very very short period of time…minute 16 years….

“True Ethiopians"=Amharas, could not bring fractions of these changes….
if you give them another 3000 years

A while ago, I thought you said that you were not an Ethiopian and have nothing to do with Ethiopia. All you wanted were to bring one or two of your relatives back here in the states and things did not go your way. You were sour about it. Now, you are defending your blood the BANDA. Will that make you a SOLD OUT BANDA too?

Ethiopian prime minister looks good.
It is a good opportunity to attend the meeting of wealthy, powerful and democratic nations of the world. The G8’s invited Ethiopia because Ethiopia is a victim of malaria, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS. It is also a receiver nation of the donation.
Meles is a statesman in the seat of African Union. He deserves to enjoy and attend the meeting.
Why some guys in the diaspora wonder his participation. What is wrong with it. To change the government of ones nation rests on that particular nation, not the G8.
Do you like to have a government asigned by G8?

Take care

\’Ethiopia was forgotten by the people of the world. Now thanks to our smart leader Meles Zenawi we are back on track…\’

Give this wicked little guy another 15 years, you would still find him with his palm upwards begging these leaders of the great nations, while he still sits on a bread basket. The idiot TPLFites are proud of having such a life-long beggar leader and call the skill smart leadership. This culture of begging must be more addictive than drugs.

I personally think that Amharas turned begging into a science and a profession. But that is besides the point. Too bad all “Ethiopians” are thought to be beggars and malnourished monkeys. Isn’t this a good enough reason to change the name of ethiopia or at least let the other nations who want to secede go their way?

Maybe too simplistic, but something must be done about the stigma of the radioactive name called “ETHIOPIA"…I wanted it off my back for so long…and now i got my wish. Hallelujah!

Meles is a midget!

Will you please tell us who invites the thug Meles to the G8 meeting and under what pretext. All the Participants are completely different than Meles in their method of governance, ideology, or human rights records.or their economy. What a disrespect and insult to the Ethiopian people. When we are liberated from Melese, who should make sure we have nothng to do with the G8 nations, even if that means we will starve as usual.

As is seen on this picture and also on
the others tyrant Zeanwi has tried to be
seen next each G8 leaders .First flanked with
Blaire ,then Angela Merkel ,and finally trying
to intervene while Bush is talking with Tabo
Mbeki .Even Sarkozy ,who has a dynamic participation in the summit did not paye
attention to him .I wonder what he is doing
there .It’s not because he ’s been seen
at this summit that the whole crimes that
he and TPLF have committed agianst the peoples
will be forgotten .I read here and there
some TPLF thugs and propagandists laughing
on the members of the diasporas lightening
candles on the memory of the innocent .
They have done this for great and honorable
causes .Concerning their master Zenawi we
can use a tell used by French :"…Il est
là que pour tenir les chandelles…".

You play with the name Ethiopia you are a dead man tomorrow. Do you know how many times Ethiopia is mentioned in the Bible? You figure it out. It doesn’t mention any other bits and pieces it says Ethiopia.

And Mr Teddy you said “Il est là que pour tenir les chandelles..” Does it mean perhaps those who don’t like Ethiopia let them hang themselves on the

Chandelier” I like that thank you.

It really amazes me when some confused individuals call Meles wise leader or brainy.

Where is the wisdom of

- A leader who has been in power for sixteen years and let alone get three meals a day for his people, has made famine a perenial phenomena.

- a leader who has put the country in to the worst for of division, ethnic division, which is threatening the country in to disintegration.

-a leader who has , due to wrong policies and mismanagement, caused more than a dozen armed opposition groups to appear all over the country.

Can those guys really tell us what makes Meles wise leader ?????
