Ethiopians in NY Tri-State area to Join Other Activists

Ethiopians in NY Tri-State area to Join Other Activists

By Tedla Asfaw

Preparation to counter the gathering of 1,000 African Land Buyers who paid an entrance fee of 3,000 dollar at Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan, New York for their conference from April 23 to April 25 is underway. Broad groups of activists are working behind the scene to represent the untold voice or deliberately silenced voice of millions of Africans who are the prime target of the gathering in NYC. We all were surprised by the Wall Street Meltdown in 2008 and its impact on millions of hard working people while those who gambled were bailed out by the Federal Government of USA.

The disaster of Wall Street is now to repeat on rural Africa. This time the gamblers/speculators are well organized groups of people who are buying African Land and Water for cheap to generate "great return" for their investors up to 25 percent. These investors which I call "Infesters" think that there is a free ride in poor Africa. The greed virus that destroyed millions of people on real estate all over the world has landed on African Continent to rape the African farmland. For the greedy most of African land is barren and it is theirs as long as they are doing business with corrupt African dictators who are not accountable to the people they rule.

We will expose the greedy buyers and sellers on April 24, a day/night of rage. They will see us entering or from their hotel balcony making a deal which will never materialize. We are well informed groups of people, in a free debate we will beat them pants down. Our voice might not be articulated on their conference hall but surely the 1,000 participants will be ashamed and exposed by the information we will pass to the public.

The media that will come to cover the gathering will not miss us either. Our message will reach millions of Africans and give them additional Oxygen for their struggle to defend their land from dictators and their foreign business partners. We want to warn the so called investors/infesters that they are playing on fire. If they believe Africans will abandon their land and the land bonanza will be safely guarded by authoritarian regime security forces they are mistaken.

Gambella and Afar in Ethiopia is now a war zone. People have made it clear that they will die for their land and water. The gathering in NYC would like to hide these facts from uninformed investors. The so called investment on land and water on Africa is a war investment. The highest rate of return is a blood return that will cost them money and African lives. They have to pay for the cost of such war indirectly, paying to protect the stolen land.

The Ethiopian Websites except Ecadf and Assimba failed to post any news regarding such important event. If this is not news worthy then that shows their commitment to inform the diaspora Ethiopians is questionable. The question of African Land and Water is the question of life and death for African farmers and pastoralist, in case of Ethiopia it is a question of more than 80 percent of our people. Those who failed to report about such gathering will surely not be forgotten nor forgiven. Ethiopians have the right to ask if such websites are the public voice they claim to be or voice of the few elite groups which farming is not their agenda.

Ethiopians in the NY Tri State area who have been advocating against foreign land buyers and warn them to stay away from such business will surely shout at the 1,000 Crowd. We will tell them that they are not our friends in fact African enemies and we will make sure that they will fail in their devilish project to acquire African Land and Water for cheap dollar.

Yes we are Angry People who are Demanding Justice for African farmers. We will not Apologize for that !!!

The world in the past 18 months or so has seen that dictators do not have the approval of their people to act on their behalf. Meles Zenawi has no authority to make deals on behalf of Ethiopians than Mubarak, Gadaffi and Assad have the authority to speak for Egyptians, Libyan and Syrians respectively. Therefore this infestors should not be making deals with Meles.

As for the rest of us, it’s time to be a voice to the voiceless. We need to get our voices heard. We should not only demonstrate at this meetings but inform people not to buy flowers produced by Karuturi since it’s profits end up fueling this oppression. Let’s take our argument to the consumer, the European buyers of flowers and educate them on the fact that by buying this flowers, they are sponsoring oppression!

Mr. Tedlaw Asfaw

You own name tell us that you are an opportunist Hoddam with no solution to Stop begging the world for food.

Why are you silent about those parasites charities and NGO that are distorting the Ethiopian with their poison money long before these new investors came to Gambella or ogadie? You tell me if you have one single better solution to stop begging the world for food. You are not a solution to stop mass starvation but the way I see it that you are an other so called environment activist or charities and NGO paid gimmatam Leba who in the name of poor Ethiopians plays his well paid probably by western agency to protest against any chines and India investors to create jobs and Development in Ethiopia . You rather prefer those thousands parasites charities and NGO that feed you in feeding centre like Kommata beggar year after year when you starve to death-while you are sitting in a vergin
land and water to farm It and feed your self.

You tell me now what sorts of investors from west you have interest in Ethiopia to invest and development except charities like oxfam,Red cross USAIDS and thousands other beggar org. that are now infecting our people to be beggar .

Wh did not you shout and warn about these beggar org. That are now spreading their virus to Ethiopians farmers to be beggars. Your shimmagile crack-head political prostitution from NY or Dc has no any value or solution to Ethiopians mass salvation. You prefer to bark like a dog when you see a simple changes in Ethiopia and prefer a White western donation of food rather than investors from far east. If it were a White western investor then you should have bend down to them but when you see an India or chines investors their money…whooooo….you got mad. Because you do not want to work and feed your self and family.
Hurry now, you protest supporters like USAIDs and all those parasites charities are now behind you and even pay you well and you conference local. May be ,you dine with so called Amnesty, human right or environment activist as a gust of their hero…..You Bucchilla beggar.

Land-grab is a legitimate concern to all Ethiopians. Unfortunately, the messenger, in this case, is not credible. Tedla Asfaw is the reason why the Ethiopian Opposition seem totally clueless because it is hijacked by unashamed self-promoters that have deceived us for the last two decades. Ato Tedla is no less responsible than the likes of criminals like Bereket Simon. Tedla is a propagandist of the lamest and dumbest kind. Hodam leba indeed. The half-brain Ato Tedla thinks 200 of his friends from edir and church are the entire 80 million of us. Running around all over the place like a dog infected with rabies diseases is not going to bring any change anywhere. He is the perfect example of what is called the “Napoleon Complex” that affcets most men like Tedla. Napoleon complex is an informal term describing an alleged type of inferiority complex which is said to affect some people, who are short in stature and low in IQ. The term is also used more generally to describe people who are driven by a perceived handicap to overcompensate in other aspects of their lives. Other names for the term include Short Man syndrome OR Stupid man’s Syndrome. The Arab spring was not led by men with Syndromes. And the Ethiopian summer will not come from the likes of Tedla Asfaw. That’s for sure.

Tedla Asfaw,
Your real name should be Telalaw Asfaw.

“Gambella and Afar in Ethiopia is now a war zone.”
First of all, use “are” when using compound subjects, not is. More importantly, are you referring to Gambell and Afar of Ethiopia? Were you in the right mind when you say this so? ewnetm telala.

C’est moi senait,

Now you are supporting the Agaze government or someone is writing as you.

Whoever you are you are a moron. When the Nazi were killing Jews people complained and opposed the removing of Jews to concentration camps in the name of saving the German nation. Are you trying to say what are you solution for the opponents to what the Germans were doing? You are a Moron Idiot, because you dont have to provide a solution to oppose an injustices
