Sad story . I have worked in healthcare for many years and I know how frustrating it gets sometimes dealing with patients. However we need to be very carful in what we do becase more often than not our actions, no matter how well intended, could be interpreted differently. When this happen it will bring grave quensquences like the brother in this story. May God be with you .

Never force anyone to do anything, nurses should feed the elderly only when the elderly people feel like eating, he can even loose his license over this. He probably taught he is doing a good job but it could be interpreted differently in America because of the cultural differences.

Very Sad indeed. We grew up in a culture where "gursha" force feeding is the norm. The guy was worried and wanted to keep his patient alive and well.

I hope the legal system looks into it.

I wish him all the best. People have to learn from this. There are things you just can not do here out in the west. Can not grab any babies and kids and kiss them. We grew up in a culture where all neighbors were entitled to kissing kids all the time. In America it a big NO NO NO

It is clear that he did not intend to harm, but showed a concern when the individual is not eating enough to his perception. He may be trying to outshow the coworkers who didn't show similar concern and he should follow that example. As long as he did his part, eating the food is not his job mandate. As the saying goes in America, you bring the horse to where the water is, but you can not make him/her drink.

Ethiopia born chef Marcus Samuelsson to cook State Dinner at the White House

Citing unnamed “sources in the food world,” Marian Burros reports that Ethiopia born Marcus Samuelsson has been invited to “cook the state dinner” being held at the White House on Nov. 24. He will work with the White House executive chef, Cristeta Comerford, Ms. Burros reports.

The article in Politico says that Mr. Samuelsson was chosen from a pack of chefs that at one time included Dan Barber, Charlie Palmer, Michel Nischan, and Patrick O’Connell, before the field was winnowed down to just Mr. O’Connell and Mr. Samuelsson. “White House assistant chef and Food Initiative Coordinator Sam Kass sampled food at several restaurants — sometimes with social secretary, Desiree Rogers — to see whose work might be suitable,” Ms. Burros writes.

Ethiopian is doing great, the B777-200LR is the coolest plane in the airline industry, it can fly non-stop for about 22 hours. Emirates is using it in it's non-stop Dubai to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Houston flights. Once Ethiopian receives the planes Ethiopian will be able to open more routes in USA, Canada, Australia, China and maybe Japan and New Zealand.

Boeing atleast has admitted their lateness in the delivery schedule.
With that in mind EAL should immedialtely resort to Airbus aircrafts and get them right away.Or is it another politics as usual- Lam alegn besemay! BTW 2010 election is around the corner.
