Ethiopia proves the uselessness of the Somali war

When Israel invaded their neighbors and in a couple of weeks destroyed its infrastructure and murdered hundreds of innocent children, women and men, their allies turned a blind eye and allowed them sufficient time to "finish" their job. The same seems to happen now the illegitimate government of Ethiopia has started its murdering expedition in Somalia. The fact that they seem to be able to conquer two important cities in two days only proves that the Militia of the Union of Islamic Courts never were a serious threat to Ethiopia. So because of this useless brutality thousands of Somali are without aid because the World Food Program of the United Nations had to withdraw from the battle fields. The fact that they are dependent on aid has everything to do with the behavior of the warlords that now call themselves the legitimate Transitional Federal Government of Somalia. The meddling of the leba government of Ethiopia did not make things any better, probably to the contrary.

Under the press smoke of the war in Somalia, the security forces in Addis Ababa are active to conduct yet another clean sweep. Already two young men died because of resistance against arrest. Television and radio are doing their utmost best to sweep up nationalistic sentiments but the population of Ethiopia is fed up with the tyrants. They know that this war is at least useless and will be used to suppress them even more.

Today- Thursday*)- is Gabriel and people go to Church to pray. Although the institute of the Tewahedo Orthodox Church and it’s leaders are hated just like the TPLF/EPRDF government, religion is the last personal freedom for a lot of Ethiopians. In times of trouble and despair they reach out to the metaphysical world. For the Muslims Friday the Id-Al-Adha (Festival of the Sacrifice) will bring them to the Mosques where they will find consolation.

*)Thanks for the nice comments of visitor melon. However, the mistake on the "today is Gabriel" was not Urael's but your editor for which my apologies.

You are right not only that, it also proves how weak the TGF is and that it is a puppet of Melese and the West. The Prime Minister and President are a joke if they think they can create a government for the Somali people, they are not of the people but are imposed on them and they have proven that more than ever. The said thing is the Prime Minister seems to be a clone of Melese a weasle pretending to be a fox.

Melese has proven himself to be a bully he was aware that this is a rag tag army and he could defeat them that is why he was blowing his horn. It is a shame that he would even suggest to the world that he was defending the Sovereignty of Ethiopia. There was no threat to begin with just his ego.

The West was aware of this all along its just window dressing to clean up his image, but we know who he is and as always his delusion will trip him once again to create more atrocities and as always the time will come when they will say enough just as they did with Sadame.

But we as a people should not give up our struggle and keep on exposing him for posterity sake. It is our struggle and we will overcome as long as we believe in ourselves and keep hope alive for a better day for our children.

Happy New Year

What is your deal Urael? Are you against the nationhood of Ethiopia? Are you against the Ethiopian People and their existence? Are you Ethiopian?
What a shame.
Clearly the Fundamental Islamic forces were a treat to Ethiopia and the Region. Ethiopian knew the problem and cleaned them.
We don't have to wait until they became powerful and start bombing us.

Thansk Urael for your post. Once again you are analysis making sense unlike the Woyanes and Hodams who graduate from Dedebit
for Hate and Distruction your Blog is being read every day by thousends like me. As for the Woyanes,(yergacheffe, do do, addis, etc.) they are running around to post a response, to be read and to spread their hate in the name of Oromo, other ethnic groups in Ethiopia. The problem with the them is they are ruling the country and its population they hate.

SOMALIS AND ETHIOPIAN PEOPLES ARE BROTHERS AND SISTERS DIVIDED BY COLONIAL TRAEACHERY. DIFFERENT POLITICIANS TRIED TO DIVIDE AND RULE THESE COMMUNITIES. UNFORTUNATLY FOR SOMALIA, THE NATION WAS RIDDLED WITH INSIDE RIVALRYAND CLAN ANIMOSITY.
ETHIOPIA ENTERED THE WAR ARENA WHEN SOMALIA BECAME A BREEDING GROUND FOR INTERNATIONAL TERRORISTS AND ANTI ETHIOPIAN FORCES.
ETHIOPIA COULD HAVE BUT DID NOT LET MOGHADISHU BURN. ETHIOPIA LOVES ITS NEIGBOURS AND HAS AMPLE PATIENCE.
THE ISLAMIC COURTS MISREAD ETHIOPIA'S PATIENCE AND HAD TO PAY FOR IT.

Urael, you seem to have been awaiting for the ICU to beat the Ethiopian army and 'free' Addis Ababa from EPRDF. It is a shameful thought. Even when they have wide individual differences, Ethiopians have in history prioritized their country's concerns before thier personal interests. Not you.
Irrespective of my opposition to EPRDF, personally I am glad that the army has dramatically routed ICU, thereby shortening the life of the war.
