Clashes go on...

Sorry for the day off, I thought I could wish you a happy new year and publish some good news from Ferenj source (to be continued...) but a big clash is reported around Kokobe Tsiba; Kebena -again!- this morning. This time cars were burnt.

One of our employees asked us the day to go to the bank and withdraw money for the family, that is exactly what we are going to do, too. Birr does not worth much on the black market this morning, they even refuse to sell dollars.

Update during the day.

11H30: Sabat Tegna High Schools -Merkato area- involved too. They are apparently arresting many, many students in Kokobe just right now.

18H10:After a drive and a few unpleasant encounters

I probably did not catch all and spelling is phonetic but protesting high schools today were, according to my sources:

Kokobe Tsiba (morning) - closed this afternoon - I checked
Dlachin (morning) - closed too - checked
Menelik (11:00 AM) - I have not been there but eyewtiness says they loaded two trucks of arrested students
Medianlem (I am not sure when it happened) - closed
Wingate (afternoon) - I was in front of Wingate around 16h30. Clash was over but I crossed Federal police pick-up full of young people, including two girls. Military presence was massive, many female students were crying outside and the families looked extremely worried.

Two students would have been killed today in Addis, when trying to escape, run over by one bus (1) and one car. Impossible to assess the number of arrests.

Some bad mobile phone's pictures soon...

(1) Bus is said in a very bad shape now.
