One late night they knocked our door hard and shouted saying “open it”. We knew then it was our time we were waiting with hope to allow us to stay in our country and fear to be deported. They didn't say anything except "the bus is ready, be quick and come on."

I was already awake at the time. But my youngest sister was asleep. My mother with tears and shaking carried her and my father who looked deeply hearted and angry from inside quickly collected some of his books as he was a teacher, and this what we left our home, birthplace, life and everything in Ethiopia. .
After we reached in Eritrea, in few weeks my father killed himself. My youngest sister also died months latter. I and my mother managed to immigrate and we are living now in abroad.

But I and the rest of deported Eritreans will never ever forgive and forget what the TPLF and their supporters (The entire Tigry) did towards us. With in the same day we have been deported, our neighbour’s son (Tigre) received the Key to our house and ever since he is living there. I still miss Ethiopia and the same time I’m very much angry about TPLF and its supporters. They didn’t only deported from our country and took our property. Because of them my father also killed himself and my sister has died. They destroyed our life as they did to many thousand deported Eritreans.

I never forget our other neighbours suffering for us. They were helpless to help us. Even some of them offered to hide us in their home. My mothers’ friends from Gojam also asked my mother to hide her and the family in remote areas in Gojam. But, in a situation where everything is under TPLF control and its supporters from one Ethnic group, it became impossible. And instead they would be killed while trying to save us.

I came to this country not long a go. Yet, it is difficult to imagine if some one comes unexpectedly and deported me to the place I don't know and there are no possibilities. But my entire family was born in Ethiopia and deported inhumanly to the place we never knew in reality except just talk about it.

Time will tell. What they did to us and Ethiopia will never be forgotten and forgiven. They are just buying times. But the Ethiopian time is already here in the corners from all directions. When this time comes, I will be back to my country and I will help to improve the situation. Because of TPLF and its supporters are saying so, I’m not an Eritrean. I’m an Ethiopian. How can I be an Eritrean while my father, mother and their children including I are born and grown up in Ethiopia?
