Tekie Seyoum Tesfamichael of Eritrea?

Eritrea - Two arrested in Ohio State University robbery

Two suspects were arrested in connection with a robbery of a business on the Ohio State University campus, including a 21-year old man with roots in Eritrea?

Source: NBC 4

Campus officers arrested 21-year-old Daquan M. Ellis and 21-year-old Tekie Seyoum Tesfamichael Wednesday in connection with the aggravated robbery of the UniPrint Store on Milkin Way.

Ellis of Columbus was charged with aggravated robbery, and Tesfamichael of Reynoldsburg was charged with complicity to aggravated robbery.

The arrests weren’t made out of a Crime Stoppers tip but regular police work.

The robbery happened in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Security cameras in the area caught a vehicle and a glimpse of two armed men who allegedly assaulted store employees.

The suspects made off with cash and left employees with injuries that required stitches.

Local authorities continued to investigate and said additional individuals were involved.

Authorities said they still are interested in a white 1993-1995 Cadillac Seville SLS with back door guards and a sunroof. The Cadillac was profiled in the Crime Stoppers report.

It is sad to see how narrow minded some of us are. It does not matter whether Tekie is from Ethiopia or Eritrea. I understand the concern, but is it really important?:?:

Every time an Ethiopian kills, rapes, murders, prositutes or does something awful, the title on Nazret always reads: "A man killed his sister" or whatever crime that Ethiopian committed --They never mention an "Ethiopian" man killed his sister". However, if an Ethiopian wins a race or does something positive, Nazret's title always reads: "Ethiopian runner wins marathon" or "Ethiopian man/woman wins X"

The only rule to Nazret's exception is when its an Eritrean. If an Eritrean does anything remotely bad, the national title is branded around with pride by the site's owner. Such as the case with the title here.

What does Eritrea have to do with a robbery? Even the so called robbery states that the Eritrean man didn't do the robbery, but rather was associated with the robber. The Eritrean guy will probably get 10 days in jail (at worst) and will be released with nothing more than a misdemeanor. How is this worthy news on a site for Ethiopians?

It's almost 2010, grow up yall.

nazret.com why don't you guys clean the fog from your eyes and post only those story pertaining to Ethiopia and Ethiopians.
Why on earth do you bring stories about Eritrea? if you guys are infatuated with Issayas and his country then you can go an move to Eritrea and leave us alone with our beloved country
From Scandinavian countries, to Canada to the US, these eritreans are known for their filthy way of living in all kind of crimes.
So please do not toxic our lives with Eritreans crimes and their story

May God have mercy on our souls.

We are we so obsessed with everything Eritrea related News articles to a point that we even treat Eritreans who allegedly committed crimes as "celebrities" and give their stories full coverage on our websites?

And when we can't find any negative news about Eritrea, we add the name Eritrea to all negative news depicting Ethiopia. Nazret.com is notorious in doing this.

I used to think that was part of the political game, but I soon realized I was wrong. The more I started learning about Eritrea, the more I begun to see how far behind we Ethiopians are from the Eritreans. The International Failed States List put Ethiopia 20 countries behind Eritrea. What does that tell us ?

When all major international News networks are reporting about famine in East Africa, they name Ethiopia, Kenya, Djibouti, Kenya and Somalia leaving out Eritrea.
Why is Eritrea never mentioned ?
Why is Eritrea doing a lot better than all it's neighbors ?
I'm not making this up. Go read about it and you will be shocked as I am.

I think it has a lot to do with how Eritreans see themselves. They don't like to compare themselves with others as we do. They don't seem to care of what others think or say about them because they are very confident of who they are.

Unfortunately, it is us Ethiopians who seem to be suffering from a severe case of inferiority complex. A country of 80 million jealous of a new young nation of only 5 million people. That is what inferiority complex does to your soul, it robs your God-given talents and potentials and reduces you to post junk news articles about a country you're jealous of, and the people you envy the most, all in an effort to get a temporary relief and gratification from the complex that is eating you inside out.

A Canadian Ambassador to Ethiopia once wrote: "Prime Minister Meles Zenawi suffers from an incurable case of inferiority complex against his northern neighbors of Eritrea."

That is so true ! Even Meles Zenawi's mouthpiece website seems to suffer from the same inferiority complex.

LIAR one guy is clearly African-American, so "they" can't be Ethiopians.

Either way, who cares he is just a dumb kid who ALLEGEDLY robbed a store. Besides he seems to have lived mostly in the States so I don't think this guy can point Ethiopia/Eritrea on the map let alone be concerned with your politricks.

Stop the hater game. These guys are criminals not worthy of all this. Eritrean, American... guatimalan what the hell is the difference to the guy who got robbed and beat up? What difference does it make to the idiot, tesfamichael, who probably is going to jail for a while? Nothing. Same logic of no difference should apply here, as Eritrea is a province of Ethiopia, this is not a political issue and just an idiotc thief who got caught.

This is puerly out of greed and not an extention of Horn politics.

On another note, I do believe Nazret did right in reporting it. I would like to know as would many others, what goes on in the diaspora East African community, Amhara, Tigre, Eritrea, Gurage... all Ethiopian. Dont care much what ethnicity but the info keeps reality in prespective that we are all human and have needs and will go robbing others to fill our needs, be it drugs or feed... know what I mean?
