The Washington Post reports that the arrest of a DC Council staff on corruption charges stemmed from a corruption investigation of the DC Taxicab commission that began 18 months ago.

According to the Washington Post, the investigation began when Abdulaziz Kamus, described by the Post as a well known Ethiopian advocate for Ethiopian taxi drivers in the District, approached an official at the D.C. Taxicab Commission with a bribe. According to the story, Abdulaziz later started working as a government informant. Abdulaziz is not charged with any crime.

Abdulaziz most recently was executive director of the African Resource Center (ARC), which says its mission is to empower and amplify the voices of the African community for the betterment of the whole community.

According to the article from yesterday and today, it looks like the man named Yetbarek Seyum the DC taxi company owner (Yes Auto) under the name United Fleet Management is the main man who is under investigation. This man is probably the man who arranged the trip to Ethiopia for the alleged criminal Loza in return to lobby the council man Graham for the taxi system to be changed to a medallion. So that way in return Yetbarek may receive a lot of money from the big fishes from NY and Boston in the taxi industry. Any way all this is failed now. It is now in the hands of the Higher Authority FBI. They will do their job well. I am sure there will be more to come on this matter. The danger is high for Yetbarek and those corrupted official who deal with corrupted people like Yetbarek Seyum and Loza in DC. They think they know the system and they can do what they want to do but unfortunetly the system will find them and destroy them. What is sad is this man Yetbarek is back stabbing many of his own country man who are in the taxi industry in DC. There is a saying that goes, “ Every dog has its day.”

Wanna-be Mafias...From D.C. to L.A., there are some habesha who try their best at white collar crimes like check fraud and medical supply/medicare fraud, only to find themselves locked-up for years. They ain't no Russian or Nigerian, and the Feds don't waste time getting you.

This has been going on for many years. It is not like it started yesterday. Well well well. I am happy they finally caught up to them. I thought they woudn't catch them. DCTC(DC taxi commission) is one of the most corrupted industry in DC metropolitan area. Some drivers we see now operating in DC streets got their license not by going through the right procedure for the issuance of the DC hacker's license i.e. taking the written and the computer exam and passing it, instead they chose the short cut i.e. bribing taxi officials(by paying like 8-10 thousands of dollars). This is so unfair for law abiding citizens and legal immigrants. Now that FBI is catching up to them I hope they do extensive large scale full investigation into not just on the trip to Ethiopia but also on how they issue the license. If there is some mechanism to back track those who got the license illegally and teach those who involved some lesson they wouldnt forget forever, that would be justice prevailed. Those Ethiopians who participated in this illegal matter should be ashamed of themselves. I always used to think highly of Ato Yitbarek. I didnt know he is such a shamefull crook criminal.

I wish they could also investigate the NLICH (national low income housing coalition). This also is one corrupted industy.
JUSTICE AND FAIRNESS FOR ALL.

I am a Jay Leno wannable. What Graham did shalt not be accepted because he was supposed to fire his own selfish and foolish (Mestefaziz) makers by trickers for years and decades. If we can not trust authorities, how can we be confident about the 1776 Declaration of Independence? When I want to make fun and use my freedom of speech coupled with my love and passion for forensic psychology, it makes me not question but mak more positive fun about the patterns of the signitures. There were no waters by their time and they were warring mouth dryness using scotch whisking. Were they not drunk at least 10 of'em? God knows.

God Bless The Trail!!!!
