Grammy nominated Wayna Wondwossen of Ethiopia and DC's own Tabi Bonney along with the Hip Hop wonders Kafa Beanz will be performing live at Zanzibar @ the Waterfront.

Wayna has been compared by some to the up and coming Erikah Badu. Her soulful sounds is literally music to your ears, originally from Ethiopia, her music mixes the essence of Ethiopian music with the rhythmic sounds of R&B and the truest form of Hip-Hop. She recently performed at Blues Ally in Washington DC with her special tribute to Billie Holiday and brought down the house.

Tabi Bonney, originally from Togo is DC's hidden gem who is being unearthed by true fans of Hip Hop everywhere. Tabi Bonney is part of Indie label Organized Rhyme and son of afro-funk superstar, Itadi Bonney. Tabi achieved recognition in the Washington, DC Metro area with his radio singles "The Pocket" and "Doin It" featuring Raheem DeVaughn.

And last but not least are the doctors of Hip-Hop, the crew of Burntface performing the hits from their underground phenom CD "Kafa Beanz". Ellias Fullmore, Bsheba, Adam "AP" Powell, and Gabriel Tewdors are the next generation of Hip-Hop. They fuse the beats of classical Ethiopian music with the baseline and beats of Hip-Hop. This group of visionaries have the audacity to think that they can transform the stagnant sound of Hip Hop that is filled with talk of bling bling, overconsumerism, and sex with a message befitting the best days of Hip Hop.
