Derese,

You Ethiopian???? Haaah, I know u r not. Ethiopians are not those one's who demonstrate against loans for Ethiopian development projects, who fight against their own people's interest. They are not those selfish people who thought themselves as Ethiopians but the rest of the people who lives in the country as Woyane. I wonder sometimes, have u ever seen some other country's citizen protesting against his country's interest? No, they are not stupid. But what a heck you r always a shame, may be sometimes u will wake up but it will be too late for u.

Long life for Ethiopia and Ethiopians!!!!!

Let alone a grant of more than 650 million euro and 250 million in loan Naftanga even envies the big sheet of EPRDF. They are roaring as they burn and whisper away in to the darkness and the ash. Ethiopia has proved that the aid it receives is 100% going to defeating poverty to Europe and other donor nations. They don't need a feasibility study the see a miracle and accepted it by faith and good will. Ethiopia never got more than 5 million to the last regimes for they asked weapons of mass destruction against the Ethiopian people. They only had an Amara king and his dogs dejazmach and fitawrare and an army major with gangsters of privates. The two groups are famous for one thing a famine that took the lives of a million people each, while at the same times throwing hundred millions to celebrate the 80Th birth day of the former and for the 15th anniversary of cheating the king to take away his power.disloging power from the king by the later. Both underdeveloped Ethiopia as their fore fathers before them. What else will they do against Ethiopia that they had not done already. Tested and got an "F" for development and "A" for under developing and bankrupting the country, nepotism, bribery, twisting of justice for the broad Masses of Ethiopia, denying other through intimidation and shaming, belittling and slandering their names, language and culture so as to make them subservient. For example there were only one or two ministers from Tigray and from the Islamic faith in the last 100 years of Amhara rule. The Oromos were excellent soldiers they succeeded in the military and Eritreans worked so hard to learn Amharic and were able to go to college. The Tigray Students were the leaders of the student movement of the University covertly and overtly and that of EPRP. There was no political movement that was not led in armed struggle and civil disobedience without their leadership in Ethiopia. It is good to give credit where credit is due and discredit the white wash story of the Amara chauvinists who always looked for some body to fight their war and to win the peace.
Why don't you show us the more than two dozen Universities or half a dozen major dams you built. You left us a dilapidated city as the capital and today it is as good as its name.

Neo-colonialism takes two forms; economic and political, where economic dominance often serves the entering wedge for political domination. The oppressive regime of ethnic federalism has accumulated weapons of death from much of the foreign handouts, which have been used to oppress the majority allowing the minority who follow alien interests to further their evil designs of divide and rule. "From truth alone is born liberty and only an educated people can consider itself as really free and master of its fate. It is only with an educated people that representative and democratic organs of government can exercise their influence for national progress." “Dear fellow Eritreans & Friends, Add your voice to the February 22, 2010 March in Geneva (Switzerland), San Francisco & Washington, DC (USA) as well as Melbourne (Australia). Tell members of the UN Security Council, the U.S. Government and the International Community you want an immediate annulment and Repeal of the Unjust, reckless and baseless sanctions imposed on Eritrea on December 23, 2009! If you want your name to be added to the list of supporters please fill the form attached below. ":)):))
qedmo neber enji metno medeqos..ale sewyew. i just cant get enough of eritreans few days ago they were bragging claiming that the sanction is irrelevant and has no impact on Eritrea. today they are panicking and even begging ethiopians to join them to fight the sanction. boy can it get worse than this for the miserable barren land:)) why would any one let alone an ethiopian oppose a sanction against a nation that is hated and isolated by the entire world including africa because of its tuggish and destabilizing behavior.

You could spil Billions of dollars to help Ethiopia, but if we are not united and all treated fairely then we will be doomed!
Money is not all we need it is to have govenment who is going to be elected by the poeple and it is government who do not sale our land right and left and it is a govenment who will acknowledge all ethnic are respected and treated fairly weather be to run for office or to do any business.
The west could give Billions but only few gets richer the rest will be just wiating for crums.
Not fair!

Not to sound alarmist but... this is how the West keeps nations under control. We take all these loans and we become enslaved. We default, our childeren are burdened... and we have to do what the West wants once we are in their grip. All these loans do not benifit those who need it but the few who sign for it.

"Ethiopia is currently undertaking multi billions investments on telecommunications infrastructure, roads, and hydro electric projects."

Do read, if you all have the time... as I suggested before... a book by John Perkins, titled "Confessions of an economic hit man" and you will have some prespective on these loans. It is scary, my people. If true, it is the systematic distruction of poor nations like Ethiopia. Those who give us these loans, make sure we can't pay them back, their corporations get the loan money for shoddy projects like those mentioned above, (I wonder how the Gibe power plant deal was worked out,) and we are at their mercy for generations to come. All I am saying is Ethiopians should read up on how these loans are obtained. No harm in that... no harm in knowing what we are getting ourselves in to. Don't you all think we owe ourselves & nation at least that much?
