It is not to discredit him. But I see that relieving him from responsibilities at this age was recognition of his service. I think that is his right too. Though I did not hear any explanation, I don’t see the need to bother a man at this age when we don’t have a problem of manpower. I don't know the election process, but this has the making of a rubber stamp parliament. How can a president be elected in just one day? No debate, no alternative candidates? No campaign?

If anyone thinks this is a real parliament, you gotta be on crack. Recall how long it took for the "people's representatives" to vote on the Eritrea border demarcation decision a few years ago....
