Ethiopia says inflation decreased by 26.2 per cent

Inflation rate in Ethiopia has decreased by 26.2 per cent this year compared to that of last year, the Central Statistical Authority said.
The Authority told ENA on Thursday that the inflation which was 40.3 per cent in October last year has now decreased to 14.1 per cent this same period.
The average price of food has decreased by 44.7 per cent this year compared to that of last year, the Authority said.
The decrease in the price of cereals, oilseeds and spices is attributed to the decrease in the inflation of food price.
Similarly, the price of non-food items has also shown a 19.9 per cent decrease.
