This is why people need to stop talking crap about the merit of child adoption in Ethiopia. This girl who otherwise might have been a prostitute on the streets of Ethiopia or something far worse, got the chance to be on the other side of the spectrum and achieved international prominence, all because of adoption! Those of you who claim that the government in Ethiopia does not have a good adoption policy, better think twice.

This is great news. May God bless the kind people (parents) who gave the opportunity to these kids for a better future.

Imagine how many more millions in ethiopia who are left behind whose potentials are not realized yet.

The Truth:

You can't place a conclusion about adoption and its impact on one girl's achievement.

I think when this kids become adults, then we will hear more of what they have become, I am sure there will be good and bad experiences but also one cannot judge a person's well being based on academic excellence alone. If one has a Phd but is unstable emotionally, what is the point?
