US investor believes Ethiopia likely to break apart

A US businessman backed by former CIA and state department officials says, Ethiopia, Nigeria and Somalia are likely to break apart in the next few years. Philippe Heilberg, a former Wall Street banker and chairman of New York-based Jarch Capital told Financial Times that he is in contact with rebels in Sudan’s western region of Darfur and dissidents in Ethiopia and the government of the breakaway state of Somaliland. According to FT, the investor just bought 400,000 hectares of land – an area the size of Dubai in South Sudan from a war lord.

He was quoted as saying, "“If you bet right on the shifting of sovereignty then you are on the ground floor. I am constantly looking at the map and looking if there is any value,".

He told the Financial Times, “You have to go to the guns, this is Africa,”

Let me tell you my honest assessment, it does mean true for the future but historically it was accurate. Tigray and Amhara people created and defended this country over 3000 years and I am sure the future generation will carry the same duty for their beloved motherland to defend the sovereign integrity of Ethiopia.

But if Tigray and Amhara antagonize each other, then the Oromo, Ogaden and souther people may get an opportunity to go their way with out any challenge from the natural defender of Ethiopia. If the these two ethnic groups respect and understand the situation surrounding them and the responsibility of care taker of Ethiopia, then no mater what Oromo, Ogaden, Somalia, Eritrea and all the Arab countries do, Ethiopia will not break or defeated by any either an Ethiopian ethnic or outsiders.

My advice to Amhara and Tigray is we have to be very careful and be wise for the sake of unity of the country and make concession if there to be give to one another if misunderstanding arises in the future.

To all Ethiopians, our biggest enemy is Eritrea. My suggestion is not out hate to Eritrean people but love of my country Ethiopia. Woyane gave away Eritrea for the sake of peace. Woyane thought that if we let Eritrea have its own independent and then all the Ethiopian problems will go away and we will live in peace. That thought was so wrong and the thought was purposely designed by Shaebia and passed to their Agents in Tigray, Meles Zenawi and Sebhat Nega to fool some of the Adwa cadres in order to silence the rest of Tigray from challenging them.

Eritrea did not strive independent for its people to live in peace with their neighbors but to destroy Ethiopia not as a united country but in to pieces of chieftain kingdom like the Somalia today. This design is being made by the Arab countries and Eritrea will be the catalyst country to achieve their dreams. So If all Ethiopian want to live united and in peace for our children then WE ETHIOPIANS MUST DISMANTLE THE NAME OF ERITREA FROM THE FACE OF THE WORLD MAP AT ANY COST. So long Eritrea is standing out there as so called independent country, Ethiopia will not have any kind of peace and prosperity to its citizen at any time in the future. Big Sacrifices is needed in a big costly way. We have to get ride of Meles first, otherwise he will not allow Ethiopia to seek its interest. In my opinion the ASSAB demand is nonsense to me because the Assab port will not solve the enemy we are being surrounded by.

You can say anything you want but Halafi Mengedi sees the above situation to our country every time I walk in to different areas.

My other assumption about this USA investor in South Sudan is the huge land he leased from who ever a military commando, how is he going to grow the seeds he wants to grow???

He has to have water to irrigate the farmland and the water he expecting is Abay River. If Ethiopian is strong enough financially and militarily then Ethiopia will stop the flow of water out side of its border and then his dream investment will not materialize. So this guy is doing his homework in order to meet his business objective. The way I see it now this investor will be the most beneficial for his farming field by breaking up Ethiopia than Egypt.

BTW,one of my previous post, I do not have any inside info about the US investor tried to lease from Ethiopia government. I was to say may be he tried to lease from Ethiopia.
